Use the code that matches your mission and lock location. The complete October 2026 early-access set is: 214 for the red toolbox/safe in Following Orders; 5523, 7632, and 9103 for the three Assassins doors; 0024, 8609, 0078, 0600, 1234, 6789, 0330, and 0008 for Stranded containers and bunkers; and 8410 for the Escape safe. Enter every digit in order, including leading zeroes. The Small Island Stranded code is the only reported conflict: current roundups list 6789, while some early-access guides show 6788.
Modern Warfare 4 codes at a glance
The table below is organized by mission and physical object so you can identify the right lock before entering anything. A three-digit code is different from a four-digit code even when the visible number appears similar; do not drop zeroes from a four-position keypad.

How to enter a code correctly
Every lock uses the same basic interaction. Walk up to the keypad, dial, or lock, wait for the interaction prompt, and enter the digits from left to right. Confirm the input if the interface presents a separate confirmation button. The lock opens only when the complete sequence is accepted.

- Identify the mission and object. Several missions contain multiple locks, so a code from one location will not open another.
- Interact with the lock itself. Aim at the keypad or combination panel rather than the container door or nearby scenery.
- Enter every position. For a four-digit lock, type all four characters.
0024is not the same input as24;0008must be entered as0008. - Wait for the open animation. Do not leave the interaction until the latch, hatch, or door has visibly released.
- Collect the contents and any note. Some notes provide context or point to another cache, and the Base Camp container marks additional Stranded locations.
Following Orders is the one exception to the usual four-position pattern: its red lock takes the three digits 214. The recipe note in the kitchen is the clue. Use the relevant quantities in sequence but omit the salt value, which produces 214.

Where to find the lock
Look in the first house or bedroom area of Following Orders for the red toolbox or red safe. The lock is a three-digit combination, not a four-digit keypad.
Code and clue
Enter 214. The kitchen recipe note supplies the numbers. The intended solution is obtained by skipping the salt quantity; entering the salt figure as an extra digit will not work because the lock expects only three positions.
If you cannot open it
The lock can reportedly be shot as a bypass. Treat that as an alternative interaction rather than a replacement code: try the combination first, then test the bypass if the lock does not respond. The safe is not required for the main route, so you can continue the mission if neither method is available in your build.

Assassins: all three door codes in route order
These are four-digit route doors. Enter them in the order you encounter the areas; using a later code at an earlier door will simply produce an invalid entry.
1. Library service door — 5523
Move through the library and take the stairs. The service door at the stair route accepts 5523. Enter all four digits before leaving the keypad.

2. Kitchen or pantry exit — 7632
After the kitchen stealth section, use the kitchen or pantry exit and enter 7632. This door leads toward the garden, so it is the next code in the mission’s natural progression.
3. Bunker entrance behind the statue — 9103
Cross the garden and pond, then circle behind the statue to find the hatch. The bunker entrance uses 9103. The statue-side position matters: searching the front of the statue or the pond edge will not reveal the keypad.

Stranded: shipping containers and hidden bunkers
Stranded has the largest set of coded objects. Containers are optional supply stops rather than a single linear door sequence. The Base Camp container is especially useful because opening it reveals a map marking other supply locations. Preserve every zero shown below when entering a code.
Base Camp, near the radio tower — 0024
Find the container near the radio tower at Base Camp and enter 0024. The two zeroes at the front are part of the combination. This is a four-position lock, so 24 will be rejected. The first opened container also points you toward other supply locations through its map.
South of Jamming Station — 8609
The container south of Jamming Station uses 8609. The documented clue pattern changes the first digit by plus one, the second by minus one, and the fourth by plus two. Use the resulting four-digit sequence exactly as displayed.

Southeast Village — 0078
At the Southeast Village container, enter 0078. Keep both leading zeroes. The associated clue adds 22 to the relevant number, but the keypad still requires the final four-character result rather than the intermediate arithmetic.
Cliffside near Base Camp — 0600
The cliffside container near Base Camp accepts 0600. The first zero is significant. Follow the clue pattern at the site, then enter the complete four-position code rather than trimming the opening zero.
Large-sign green container — 1234
The green container marked by the large sign uses the straightforward sequence 1234. Enter each digit in order; there are no leading zeroes to preserve.
Small Island — 6789, with a version conflict
Current GamersBeacon and iTechGuides roundups list 6789 for the Small Island container. Some early-access guides printed 6788 instead. If 6789 fails in your version, inspect and read the nearby clue rather than repeatedly forcing the current listing. This is the one Stranded code with a documented discrepancy.
Farm Field hidden bunker — 0330
The hidden bunker in the Farm Field uses 0330. Enter the leading zero, followed by 330. Because the bunker is optional, you can defer it and return after collecting more equipment if reaching the field is unsafe.

Island hidden bunker — 0008
The Island bunker accepts 0008. All three leading zeroes must be entered. A single-digit input such as 8 does not satisfy the four-position lock.
Escape: safe with Gaz’s dog tags
Location and code
The safe associated with the Never Forgotten achievement or trophy contains Gaz’s dog tags. Enter 8410 at the safe keypad. This is a four-digit code with no leading zeroes.
Collectible objective
Opening this safe is tied to the dog-tag collectible, so it is an optional completion objective rather than a general-purpose supply lock. Confirm that the safe has opened and collect the tags before leaving the area if you are pursuing Never Forgotten.
What the locked objects provide
The rewards differ by mission and explain why some locks are worth a detour while others are simply route gates.

Troubleshooting a code that does not work
Check the number of positions
The most common mistake is entering a four-digit code as a shorter number. Re-enter 0024, 0078, 0600, 0330, or 0008 with the zeroes intact. The game treats a missing leading zero as a different sequence.

Confirm the mission and object
Codes are location-specific. For example, 5523 belongs to the Assassins library service door, while 7632 belongs to the kitchen or pantry exit. A correct code used at the wrong lock still fails.
Resolve the Small Island discrepancy
Try 6789 first because it is the value listed by the current GamersBeacon and iTechGuides roundups. If your early-access build rejects it, read the nearby clue and test 6788, the alternate value printed in some older guides. Do not assume that a failed attempt means every Stranded code is outdated.
Recheck the Following Orders clue
The red lock expects exactly three digits: 214. The recipe’s salt quantity is intentionally omitted. Adding salt or entering a four-digit arithmetic result cannot work on this lock.

If the keypad or lock is not interactive, move around the object until the prompt appears. In Assassins, the service door is reached via the library stairs, the pantry exit follows the kitchen stealth section, and the bunker keypad is behind the statue after the garden and pond. In Stranded, use the named landmark to distinguish a container from another nearby structure.
Allow for early-access changes
Destructoid describes its list as a work in progress, and iTechGuides warns that a later patch could move a lock or add another container. The values in this guide represent the documented October 2026 early-access set. If a patch changes the object’s position, search the same landmark area and read any replacement clue before assuming the combination itself has changed.

A practical route for collecting every optional lock
- Finish route-critical Assassins doors first. Use 5523 at the library service door, 7632 at the kitchen or pantry exit, and 9103 at the statue-side bunker hatch so the mission route remains open.
- Open the Following Orders red lock while you are in the first house. Enter 214 from the recipe clue, omitting salt. If the lock is inaccessible, continue rather than delaying the mission for an optional item.
- Use Base Camp as the Stranded starting point. Enter 0024 at the radio-tower container and examine the map it reveals before traveling to distant caches.
- Group nearby Stranded stops by landmark. The cliffside container is near Base Camp, the Jamming Station container is south of that landmark, and the Southeast Village, Farm Field, Island, large-sign green, and Small Island locations can be handled as separate objectives.
- Reserve the Escape safe for collectible cleanup. Enter 8410 and collect the dog tags when pursuing Never Forgotten.
Version and code-format notes
- These values reflect the documented October 2026 early-access set, not a guarantee that every later patch will preserve object positions.
- The Small Island value has the clearest published conflict: 6789 is the current listing in two roundups, while 6788 appears in some early-access material.
- Leading zeroes are data, not formatting. Preserve them in 0024, 0078, 0600, 0330, and 0008.
- No named statistics or standardized code system applies to these locks; each combination is tied to its mission object and local clue.
