1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsTo use QSSR on a standard PS5, update a supported game and use its in-game graphics options. There is no documented console-wide QSSR switch. In Marvel’s Wolverine, update 1.002.000 enables QSSR by default, so installing the update is the documented step.
Which PS5 games support QSSR?
Sony’s October 1, 2026 announcement named Marvel’s Wolverine and Ghost of Yōtei as the first QSSR-supported games. Their updates add QSSR as a graphics option on standard PS5. Sony said it expects more titles to follow, but did not name additional games in that announcement. Sony’s announcement
How to use QSSR in Marvel’s Wolverine
- Connect the PS5 to the internet and install the game’s available update.
- Launch the updated game. Insomniac’s notes for update 1.002.000 say QSSR is used on PS5 and is on by default; they do not require players to enable a separate setting. Insomniac’s update 1.002.000 notes
How to find QSSR in Ghost of Yōtei
Install the game’s update, then look for QSSR among the game’s graphics options. Sony confirms that the option was added, but its English announcement does not specify the exact menu path or whether QSSR is on by default. If you do not see it, confirm the game is updated before troubleshooting further. Sony’s announcement
Is QSSR a PS5 system setting?
No system-wide QSSR toggle for standard PS5 is documented. Sony describes QSSR as an option added to supported games. Do not confuse it with the PS5 Pro’s “Enhance PSSR Image Quality” setting: PlayStation Support says that setting is available only on consoles in the CFI-7000 model group. What QSSR does—and what is not measured
QSSR stands for Quick Spectral Super Resolution. Sony describes it as a streamlined, hand-tuned performance tier of AI upscaling derived from PSSR. The company says QSSR improves image detail and stability on standard PS5; those are qualitative claims, not published numerical test results. Sony also says PSSR remains its top-tier upscaling technology on PS5 Pro. The announcement provides no measured resolution gain, frame-rate change, or percentage improvement, so results should not be assumed to be the same across games or graphics modes.
