The fastest reliable coin routine in The Witch’s Bakery is simple: make the daytime counter your priority, keep dough and ingredients available, serve every order, and assign production to pastries customers are repeatedly requesting. Use the evening to upgrade one recipe—preferably the day’s highest-demand item—rather than spending early income on decorations.
The fastest coin-making loop
The bakery counter is the game’s explicit money and experience phase. The Witch’s Bakery Wiki Editorial Team’s walkthrough, updated 15 October 2026, describes the loop this way: daytime service generates the earnings, while preparation and the nightly upgrade determine how efficiently you can repeat it.
- Begin the workday with ingredients and dough ready. Check both dough counters and refill before either display is empty.
- Read each customer’s order and serve it from finished stock. Keep the queue moving instead of baking items that no one has requested yet.
- Watch for repeated orders. When several customers want the same pastry, assign Orio to that item so production matches the queue.
- Use quiet moments to replenish. Do not wait until a display is empty if you can safely refill while the counter is calm.
- At night, make one focused recipe upgrade. Choose the item customers requested most often that day.
If your cash is too low for an upgrade, spend the entire next day on counter service and supplies. That gives you a clean demand signal and a larger balance before you commit the nightly upgrade.

Customer orders are the supported source of coins. A finished pastry sitting in storage does not earn anything until it matches an order, so baking a large unrequested stockpile can consume dough and ingredients without improving your immediate income.

The walkthrough’s wording is direct: “The counter phase is where money and experience come from.” Read the order first, collect the matching item, and return to production only when the queue or your supply indicators justify it. This approach also exposes the most useful optimization signal available in the game: what customers are actually asking for during your current day.
What to do when several customers want the same item
Repeated demand should determine your next production assignment. If three customers request one pastry while other products have no queue, have Orio make the repeated item first. Clearing a concentrated queue reduces idle counter time and avoids tying up dough in lower-priority products.
What to do when demand is mixed
When every order is different, produce the item needed for the next customer rather than guessing at a universal “best” recipe. If you must choose an item before another order appears, use a plain staple such as bread or a basic pastry as the conservative choice; the available guidance does not establish a permanently superior recipe.

Keep dough and ingredients from stopping the queue
Orio cannot produce an item when an ingredient is missing. The bakery-and-atelier guide separates finished stock from the dough supply, so a full display of finished pastries does not mean your production system is ready for the next rush.

Use both dough counters as separate checks
- Look at both dough counters at the start of the workday.
- Refill before a counter reaches empty when customer traffic is light.
- After assigning Orio to a repeated-demand item, check whether the next order will require a different dough or ingredient.
- Do not confuse a finished item in storage with available dough for making another item.
This is an operational recommendation rather than a published coin-rate formula. It prevents the most common avoidable interruption: a customer is ready, but the bakery cannot produce the requested item because one supply display was allowed to run dry.
Choosing the one nightly recipe upgrade
In the walkthrough account updated 15 October 2026, only one recipe can be upgraded per night. That limit makes the order of upgrades more important than buying several small improvements indiscriminately.
Use observed demand, not a universal tier list
At the end of each day, count which recipe appeared most often in customer orders. Upgrade that recipe first. Demand observed in your own bakery is better supported than a claim that one recipe always earns more, because no published source supplies a complete sale-price table or controlled coin-per-minute test.
Use a staple as the fallback
If the day did not provide a clear winner, choose bread or another basic pastry. A staple is easier to place into ordinary orders and is less risky than upgrading an item you rarely see requested. Re-evaluate after the next service day instead of locking yourself into a permanent ranking.

Prioritize production improvements over decoration

Exploration and evening activities can be valuable for progression, but they should not replace a service day when your immediate goal is coins. If money is tight, dedicate the next daytime phase to the counter, then return to broader activities once your supplies and balance are stable.

Customers are waiting, but Orio will not make the item
Check the ingredient and dough displays before changing recipes. Missing supplies prevent production; a full finished-stock display does not solve a dough shortage. Refill during the next quiet moment, then assign Orio to the waiting item.
The queue is moving slowly
Look for repeated orders. If several customers want one pastry, stop splitting production across unrelated items and assign Orio to the repeated request until that cluster is cleared.
You upgraded a recipe but did not see an immediate coin jump
An upgrade is a longer-term production decision, not a published instant payout. The sources do not provide a sale-price table or a guaranteed return for any recipe, so judge it by whether the upgraded item appears in later orders and whether service becomes easier to sustain.

The atelier activity receives a low star rating
A low atelier rating does not identify one failed step by itself. Daytime workstation work replenishes dough for Orio’s baking, while nighttime atelier work is a longer recipe-practice sequence. Treat the two systems separately when diagnosing a weak result.
The baguette card and what its numbers mean
The bakery guide reproduces an official in-game baguette illustration showing 340 g water, 500 g flour, 9 g salt, and 3 g yeast. Those figures belong to the illustrated game card credited to The Witch’s Bakery Guide, 2026. They are game values, not general baking instructions and not evidence that baguette is the best coin recipe.
What is and is not known about coin rates
No available source publishes a complete recipe sale-price table, a coins-per-day benchmark, or a controlled comparison of coins per minute. Consequently, it is not possible to prove that one recipe is universally the fastest earner or to promise a specific daily total.

Version and release caveat
The detailed dough workflow comes from an unofficial bakery-and-atelier guide last verified 5 October 2026. That guide identifies its recipe guidance as based on the February 2026 Steam demo and warns that formal-release balance and scoring may differ. The counter-and-upgrade routine comes from a fan-made walkthrough updated 15 October 2026.
Use the supply and service workflow as practical guidance, but confirm the prompts, upgrade limit, recipe values, and scoring in the build you are playing.
