Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesTo watch Prime Video offline, download an eligible title in the Prime Video app on a Fire tablet or a supported iOS, Android, macOS, or Windows 10 or 11 device. Open the title in the app and select its download option; for a series, download a season or individual episodes. Downloads play in the app, not as ordinary video files you can export.
Devices that support Prime Video downloads
Amazon lists Fire tablets and the Prime Video apps for iOS, Android, macOS, and Windows 10 and 11 for offline downloads. The exact supported options and terms can vary by marketplace; Amazon’s download instructions are for the UK.
If you need a compatible device, a Fire tablet is one option; a supported phone, tablet, or computer you already own may work as well. Amazon does not recommend saving downloads to USB-connected drives. The option to choose a download location is documented for Android and Windows, not for every platform.
How to download a movie or TV show
- Install or open the Prime Video app on a supported device.
- Find the movie or show in the app and open its title page.
- For a movie, select Download on the detail page. For a series, select the season download option or tap the download icon beside an episode.
- Wait for the download to finish before disconnecting from the internet. Play it from the Prime Video app when offline.
A download control appears only for titles Amazon makes available to download. The app does not turn a download into a portable video file; Amazon says downloaded titles cannot be played through Chromecast or AirPlay.

Why a title may not have a download option
Download eligibility depends on the specific title and how you access it. Amazon says some titles included with a subscription cannot be downloaded. Check the title page in the app rather than assuming that subscription access includes offline viewing.
Also distinguish subscription titles from rentals and purchases. Each category can have different access periods, and availability may depend on licensing or local terms. A purchase generally can be streamed or downloaded when Amazon provides that option, but Amazon notes that a purchased title can later become unavailable for limited reasons, including licensing.

How long downloads remain available
Amazon’s Usage Rules describe typical subscription-download periods of 30 days to start watching and 48 hours to finish after playback begins. These are typical windows, not a guarantee for every title or marketplace; check the rules that apply to your location and the information shown for the title.
For rentals, Amazon likewise describes a typical 30-day period to begin viewing and at least 48 hours after playback starts, while noting that some titles have longer windows. The rental’s applicable terms determine the actual deadline.
