Exact-set acrylic cases are available from several vendors, but check their internal dimensions before buying: listings are vendor claims, not verified fit tests.
Plan the display around the build
LEGO’s published dimensions for set 72306 are 26 cm wide, 19 cm deep and over 6 cm high. Treat 26 × 19 cm as the minimum footprint for the console itself, not the full space needed for every display choice. The controller plugs into the console, while the removable Gran Turismo and Ape Escape dioramas can be shown separately, so allow extra room if you want to arrange those pieces around the console rather than store them elsewhere. LEGO’s product listing and its September 2026 announcement describe the features and dimensions.
- Measure the shelf or case interior, not just its outside dimensions.
- Check width, depth and height against the console, and account for the controller and scenes in their intended positions.
- Leave enough access to handle the model and remove the scenes without knocking nearby pieces.
Choose a clear case if dust protection is the priority
A clear acrylic display case is the most direct way to cover the model while keeping its console shape visible. iDisplayit, BOXXCO and KGBOX each list a case specifically for LEGO 72306: iDisplayit, BOXXCO and KGBOX. These are product listings, not independent assessments of fit or performance. BOXXCO notes that its preorder dimensions are based on LEGO’s published set dimensions and may vary slightly after release.
Before ordering, confirm the case’s internal measurements and check whether its layout accommodates the console, controller and removable scenes the way you plan to display them. Also compare ease of access, material details, any specifically documented UV claims and the delivered price. Some listings offer themed backgrounds; decide whether one suits your display before choosing a case.

(20 cm) high, 4.5 in. (12 cm) wide and 2.5 in. (7 cm) deep, including the stand
One KGBOX listing describes a slim, backlit edition with external dimensions of 60 × 24 × 16 cm. Those are external dimensions, so they do not by themselves confirm usable interior clearance. Check the vendor listing for the current product details and internal measurements.
Why LEGO’s general display case is a poor fit candidate
LEGO Play and Display Case 5006157 has published dimensions of 39 cm wide, 14 cm deep and 19 cm high. Its 14 cm depth is less than the PlayStation model’s 19 cm published depth, so the listed dimensions do not support recommending it for this build. The case does have a transparent cover and six baseplates, but those features do not resolve the depth mismatch. LEGO lists the case specifications here.

What case claims do—and don’t—establish
Vendor descriptions can help identify an exact-set case, but the available listings do not establish independent fit testing, measured UV transmission, comparative material performance or long-term protection against fading. Do not assume a case prevents color fading or blocks a particular amount of UV light unless the documentation for the specific product states and supports that claim. The available product information also does not establish a tested, set-specific cleaning method.
