To customize Apple Music, edit your profile from the account or profile view, and edit a playlist’s cover from that playlist’s edit controls. These are separate settings: changing artwork does not determine whether a playlist appears on your profile or in search.
How do I change my Apple Music profile picture?
On iPhone, open the Music app, tap the account button or your profile picture, choose View Profile, then tap Edit. Apple’s profile editor lets you choose who can see the music you share and what you share with followers. The available fields may differ by account or software version, so you may not see identical controls on every iPhone.
On Mac, open Music, click the account button in the lower-left corner, and select View Profile. Click Edit to change your displayed name or photo. You can select a photo from Defaults, Recents, or another location. Profile editing also includes sharing controls. See Apple’s Mac profile instructions and Apple’s profile guidance.
Apple Music profile eligibility varies by country or region; check Apple’s availability and profile guidance if you cannot create or edit a profile.

How do I change my Apple Music playlist cover?
On iPhone
For a new playlist, open Playlists and start creating one. Enter its title, then use the camera control to take a photo, choose an image from your photo library, or select a file on your device. To change art on an existing playlist:
- Open the playlist in Music.
- Tap More, then Edit.
- Choose an Apple template or use the camera control to add custom artwork from a photo, your library, or a file.
- Save or finish the edit using the control shown in the editor.

On Mac
Select the playlist in Music, then open Edit (or choose More, then Edit). Pick a preset cover or add an image file. You can also drag an image into the artwork area. Apple’s Mac playlist instructions describe the available controls.
Apple’s documented flows do not specify image dimensions or file-format requirements. If an image does not appear as an option, try another image accessible on the device rather than assuming a particular specification.

How do I show a playlist on my Apple Music profile?
Playlist visibility is controlled separately from the cover. Open the playlist’s edit controls and turn Show in My Profile and in Search on or off. The setting is available in the iPhone and Mac editors; Apple also documents playlist visibility on the web. Some collaborative-playlist controls are available only to the owner in Music on a device.
