Absolum’s mobile version supports complete touch control and compatible physical controllers, but the official Google Play and Apple App Store listings do not confirm an in-game editor for moving, resizing, or remapping the virtual touch buttons. Open the released game’s Settings, Options, or Controls screen and look for a layout editor. If that option is not present, use a compatible Bluetooth controller on Android or an MFi controller on Apple devices. On an iPhone or iPad running iOS or iPadOS 16 or later, Apple also provides system-level button customization for a connected controller; that changes the physical controller, not Absolum’s on-screen touch HUD.
What you can customise in Absolum mobile
The mobile release is designed to be playable through touch. Google Play describes a “Revamped interface – exclusive mobile UI with complete touch control,” and the listing also says the game is “Compatible with controllers.” The Apple App Store listing likewise promises “complete touch control” and identifies support for MFi controllers.
Those listings establish input support, not a specific touch-layout editor. They do not publish a procedure for dragging virtual buttons, changing their size, changing opacity, or assigning a different action to each touch button. Consequently, you should treat touch-button remapping as unconfirmed until you see a layout or control-editing option in the build installed on your phone or tablet.

- Play a short, low-risk encounter with the default touch layout.
- Identify whether the problem is reach, accidental presses, or difficulty accessing movement and attacks at the same time.
- Check the game’s Settings, Options, or Controls screen for a visible layout editor.
- If an editor exists, change one control at a time and test the result.
- If no editor appears, do not assume that a hidden gesture or a particular phone setting will remap the virtual HUD. Use a supported physical controller instead.
Check device compatibility before troubleshooting input
A control problem can be caused by the device falling outside the publisher’s published compatibility baseline rather than by a missing setting. Playdigious lists the following requirements in its compatibility information:

These are compatibility requirements, not performance guarantees. A device can meet them and still have a cramped screen, an awkward grip, Bluetooth interference, or a controller-specific problem. Confirm the operating-system version, RAM, chip, and—on Android—the GPU family before spending time hunting for a control option.
How to look for an Absolum touch-layout editor
The exact labels can vary between releases and platforms, so use the labels that are actually visible in your build rather than relying on a menu name from another game.

- Start Absolum and enter a low-risk encounter. Use the default arrangement long enough to identify the specific control that is difficult to reach or easy to press accidentally. Avoid changing several buttons before you know which change helped.
- Pause the game and open Settings or Options. Look for a menu named Controls, Input, Touch, Interface, or HUD. Some games expose control choices from the title screen instead, so check there if the pause menu has no relevant entry.
- Look for an explicit layout command. Wording such as Customize layout, Edit controls, Configure touch controls, Move buttons, or Reset layout would indicate that the installed build supports touch-HUD editing. A choice of sensitivity, vibration, or controller mapping alone does not prove that virtual buttons can be moved.
- If an editor is visible, change one item. Move or resize only the control causing the problem, save the arrangement if the screen provides a save button, and return to play. Test movement, attacks, dodges, and any simultaneous actions that matter to you.
- Keep a recoverable arrangement. If the screen offers Reset or Restore default, note where it is before experimenting. If the new arrangement makes play harder, restore the default and try a smaller change rather than moving every button at once.
- If no editor appears, stop looking for an undocumented remap. The official mobile listings do not describe an Absolum-specific touch-button remapping procedure. At that point, a compatible physical controller is the documented alternative.
Do not interpret the absence of an editor in one menu as proof that every version lacks one; labels and placement can change with a released build. The safe conclusion is narrower: if your installed build does not visibly offer a layout-editing command, there is no confirmed procedure you can follow from the official mobile listings.
Use a controller when the touch layout does not fit your hands
A physical controller avoids the reach and accidental-press issues created by an on-screen HUD. Google Play lists Absolum as “Compatible with controllers,” while Apple’s listing specifically says “Compatible with MFi controllers.” That makes a compatible Bluetooth gamepad the practical fallback when the touch arrangement cannot be adjusted.

Android controller setup
- Put the compatible Bluetooth controller into pairing mode according to its manufacturer’s instructions.
- Open the phone or tablet’s Bluetooth settings and pair with the controller.
- Launch Absolum after the operating system reports the controller as connected.
- Open the game’s Controls or Settings screen, if one is present, and verify that movement and the face, shoulder, and menu buttons register correctly.
- Play a low-risk encounter before relying on the controller for a longer session. If buttons do not respond, disconnect and pair again, then test the controller in another game or the device’s controller test screen to separate a game issue from a pairing issue.
Android support is stated at the listing level as controller compatibility; the listing does not specify every controller model, button map, or remapping feature. Check that the gamepad supports your Android version and that its required connection mode is available on your device.
Apple controller setup
- Connect a compatible MFi controller to the iPhone or iPad. Depending on the model, that may use Bluetooth or a wired connection supported by the device.
- Open Absolum and confirm that the game responds to the controller in a safe area.
- If you need a different physical button assignment and the device runs iOS or iPadOS 16 or later, open Settings > General > Game Controller.
- Select the connected controller and customise its buttons using Apple’s controller settings.
- Return to Absolum and test every changed action. Apple’s setting changes the connected physical controller at the operating-system level; it does not move or resize Absolum’s virtual touch buttons.
Apple’s support instructions apply to supported connected controllers on iOS and iPadOS 16 or later. They are separate from any controls menu that Absolum may expose inside the game.

Touch versus controller: which option solves your problem?

There is no officially published “best” touch sensitivity, dead zone, or universal button map for Absolum mobile. Use the controls that solve your particular reach or input problem rather than copying a setting whose screen size and grip do not match yours.
Troubleshoot the most common control problems
The buttons are too far away or too close together
First check the Controls, Touch, HUD, or Interface menus for an explicit editor. If the build offers one, move only the affected button and test immediately. If it does not, the official listings provide no confirmed way to rearrange the virtual HUD. A physical controller is the reliable alternative for changing hand position without changing the touchscreen.

You keep pressing the wrong virtual button
Identify whether the error comes from overlap, a cramped edge position, or the way you hold the device. If a layout editor is available, increase the separation between the two controls involved and test in a low-risk encounter. If no editor is available, try a different grip or use a controller rather than relying on an unverified hidden remap.
You cannot move while attacking or performing another action
Test the default layout deliberately: hold the movement control while pressing the action that normally fails. This distinguishes a reach problem from a game-input limitation. If the build has a layout editor, reposition the action control so both thumbs can reach it without covering movement. If it does not, a controller’s separate sticks and buttons can provide the physical separation the touch screen cannot.
The controller is paired but Absolum does not respond
- Confirm that the operating system shows the controller as connected, not merely remembered.
- Close and reopen Absolum after pairing.
- Check the game’s Controls or Settings menu for a controller toggle or device selection.
- Test the controller in another compatible game or the device’s controller settings to determine whether the fault is system-wide.
- Forget the controller in Bluetooth settings, pair it again, and retest.
- On Apple devices, verify that the controller is supported as an MFi-compatible device and, if you changed mappings, revisit Settings > General > Game Controller.
The game runs, but input feels unreliable
Confirm that the device meets Playdigious’ published baseline: Android 9 or newer with more than 3 GB of RAM, or iOS 16 or newer on an A12-or-newer device. Android owners should also check whether their GPU family is among those excluded in Playdigious’ compatibility information. Meeting the baseline does not guarantee identical performance on every model, but a device outside it is not a sound basis for diagnosing a control layout.

Use the current labels displayed by your installed build. The official store descriptions establish touch and controller support but do not promise a fixed menu path for touch customization. Look for the function, not an exact wording: an actual layout-editing command is the evidence that you can move or resize virtual controls.
