To run a 24/7 yoga nidra stream on YouTube, prepare a continuous audio-and-video program, create a YouTube Live broadcast, and send it through an encoder using YouTube’s current settings. Your encoder and internet connection must keep supplying the feed; YouTube does not promise uninterrupted service. Before you go live, verify channel eligibility and clear every spoken track, sound, and visual for live use and any archive.
Check YouTube live-streaming eligibility
Before building the stream, confirm that your channel is verified, has no live-streaming restriction within the past 90 days, and that you meet YouTube’s minimum age requirement of 16 to livestream. Enable live streaming ahead of your planned launch; access may not be available immediately. See YouTube’s live-streaming setup guidance.
Prepare the yoga nidra program
Decide what viewers will hear and see throughout the broadcast. A continuous program might be a single long recording or a sequence of recordings arranged to repeat. Check the transition points: a loop should not create unintended silence, abrupt volume changes, or a jarring cut that disrupts relaxation.
Clear every component, not just the spoken practice. Confirm that you have permission for the narration, music, ambient audio, artwork, and any looped video to be broadcast live and, if you plan to leave the event recording available, archived. Ask the rights holder whether the grant covers your intended territories and monetization, and whether they will add your channel to their Content ID allowlist.

Create the YouTube Live event
- Open YouTube Studio and go to the Live Control Room. Create or schedule a live event, then set its title, privacy, thumbnail, and other event details.
- Choose the stream format and layout that match your program. If you need a particular horizontal or vertical format, configure it before starting: YouTube notes that some format choices cannot be added after a stream begins.
- Select encoder streaming in Live Control Room and copy the stream key into your encoder. Treat the key as a credential: do not publish it or share it with people who should not be able to broadcast to your channel.
YouTube describes encoders as a way to stream overlays and use external audio/video equipment. Its starting point is Get started with live streaming.
Configure the encoder and test the feed
Use YouTube’s live encoder settings as the baseline, then check the live settings page when you configure your specific encoder because recommendations can change. YouTube recommends RTMPS and documents H.264 video, constant bitrate (CBR), and a two-second keyframe interval. Choose a resolution, frame rate, and bitrate that your source and connection can sustain; the available source does not establish a single best value for every yoga nidra program. - Set the encoder’s destination to YouTube using the current RTMPS server information shown for your event, and enter the stream key from Live Control Room.
- Set video encoding to H.264, bitrate mode to CBR, and the keyframe interval to two seconds. Match resolution and frame rate to the source rather than upscaling a lower-quality recording.
- Run a private or unlisted test. Listen for silence, clipping, uneven narration levels, and abrupt changes between program segments; watch for frozen frames or a loop that does not return cleanly to its start.
- Confirm that Live Control Room reports a healthy incoming stream before making the event public. Start the encoder before the planned public launch so you have time to catch configuration or audio problems.
Plan for continuity and recovery
A 24/7 broadcast needs an ongoing outgoing media feed. Google’s Live Streaming API documentation describes a 24/7 scenario in which the broadcaster does not stop sending video; it is an example of continuous sending, not a guarantee of uninterrupted playback. An encoder-based setup therefore depends on the encoder, power, and network continuing to work. Arrange a way to notice failures and a recovery plan for restarting the encoder and restoring the feed. Prevent copyright interruptions
YouTube scans live streams for third-party content matches. If it identifies a match, it may replace the stream with a placeholder and warn you to stop using the material; if the matched content remains, the stream may be interrupted or terminated. A license alone does not ensure the stream will stay uninterrupted: YouTube says the rights holder may need to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist. Review YouTube’s guidance on copyright issues with live streams.

- Keep records of permissions for the spoken practice, music, ambience, visual artwork, and video.
- Confirm that permissions cover live streaming and any replay or archive you intend to keep available.
- If licensed third-party audio is registered in Content ID, arrange allowlisting with the rights holder before relying on it in the live program.
