To run a Vishnu mantra stream continuously on YouTube, enable live streaming for your channel, create an encoder broadcast in YouTube Studio, and send it a properly licensed audio-visual feed from streaming software or a dedicated hardware encoder. The stream can stay live only while the encoder and its connection keep sending video, so plan for monitoring and restarts rather than treating 24/7 as guaranteed uptime.
Before you begin: check channel access and content rights
- Your YouTube channel must be verified and have no live-streaming restrictions during the previous 90 days. If this is your first time enabling live streaming, activation may take up to 24 hours, so confirm access before your planned start. See YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility guidance and encoder setup instructions.
- Use mantra audio and visuals that you created or are licensed to stream and archive. A devotional subject does not automatically make a particular recording, background track, image, animation, or artwork free to use. You are responsible for confirming the rights and YouTube policy compliance for every element.
- Decide whether you need a complete replay. YouTube warns, “If your stream exceeds 12 hours, it may not be captured at all.” Keep a local recording if retaining a full archive matters; YouTube recommends a local archive as backup. See YouTube’s archive guidance.
Choose how to encode the stream
YouTube accepts a feed from either computer-based streaming software or a standalone hardware encoder. The choice is about how you want to operate and maintain the encoding system; YouTube does not require dedicated hardware.

YouTube documents both encoder approaches and provides an option intended to support continuous streams. That does not guarantee uninterrupted operation for any particular device, internet connection, or channel. See YouTube’s encoder guide.
Set up and start the YouTube broadcast
- Enable live streaming. In YouTube Studio, verify that live streaming is available for your channel. Allow up to 24 hours for first-time activation.
- Create an encoder stream. In YouTube Studio, open the live-stream creation workflow and choose the encoder option. Create a stream or select one you already set up. Studio supplies a stream server URL and stream key.
- Protect and enter the stream key. Copy the server URL and key into the matching fields in your streaming software or hardware encoder. A custom key can be reused where appropriate. Treat the key like a password: do not show it on screen, publish it, or share it with anyone who should not be able to broadcast to your channel.
- Prepare the mantra feed. Add the licensed Vishnu mantra audio and visuals to your encoder’s program. Check the full sequence—including any intro, transitions, and loop point—before going live, so there is no unintended silence or unrelated material when playback repeats.
- Start sending the feed and confirm it in Studio. Start the encoder, then check YouTube’s live control room to verify that the incoming video is visible and the broadcast is live. Keep an operator or a defined monitoring process available to respond if the feed stops.
- Plan for recovery and archiving. Decide who will notice a dropped feed and how they will restart the encoder and broadcast. Record locally if you need a dependable copy of the full program, because streams longer than 12 hours may not be archived by YouTube.
Understand replay and viewer controls on long streams
YouTube’s DVR feature lets viewers pause and rewind a live stream, but DVR capabilities may be limited or unavailable for streams longer than 12 hours. If replay controls or a complete archive are important, consider how a continuous stream’s duration affects those expectations. Details are in YouTube’s DVR guidance.

Keep the stream running—and know what can interrupt it
A 24/7 schedule is an operating goal, not a guarantee of uninterrupted transmission. A computer-based setup depends on the computer, encoder software, power, and internet connection; a hardware encoder still depends on its power and network path. Updates, overheating, outages, a stopped encoder, or a YouTube-side disconnect can interrupt the feed. Monitor the live control room and have a practical restart plan. YouTube’s documentation explains how to connect an encoder, but does not promise uptime for an individual setup.
Common symptoms and first checks
- You cannot start a live stream: check channel verification, live-stream access, and whether a restriction has been applied within the last 90 days. If live streaming was just enabled, allow up to 24 hours for activation.
- YouTube Studio receives no feed: confirm the encoder is running and that the server URL and stream key were copied into the correct fields. If you changed or regenerated the key, update the encoder configuration.
- The stream stops unexpectedly: check the encoder, computer or device power, and internet connection; then restart the feed and confirm the picture returns in the live control room. Use monitoring that can alert a person to an interruption.
- The archive is missing or incomplete: YouTube may not capture a stream that exceeds 12 hours. Keep a local recording if a complete archive is required.
- Viewers cannot rewind as expected: DVR support may be limited or unavailable on streams longer than 12 hours. Check YouTube’s DVR guidance when deciding what viewer replay experience to promise.
