Epoch Operation: Taubound launched on October 15, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. Eastern Time (ET). Because Eastern Daylight Time was in effect that day, the launch instant was 15:00 UTC. In the United States, that was 8:00 a.m. Pacific, 9:00 a.m. Mountain, 10:00 a.m. Central, and 11:00 a.m. Eastern. Convert from the UTC instant for locations outside those zones, rather than subtracting a fixed number from “ET” throughout the year.
The launch time in one reference point
The most reliable anchor is the announced local time: October 15, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. ET. “ET” identifies the Eastern Time region, not a permanent offset from UTC. On October 15, the region was observing Eastern Daylight Time (EDT), which is UTC−4. Adding four hours gives October 15, 2026, at 15:00 UTC.
Use 15:00 UTC as the conversion point for your own city. This avoids a common mistake: treating Eastern Time as UTC−5 in every season. Eastern regions switch between daylight and standard time, so the correct offset depends on the date. The same clock label can represent a different UTC instant in winter.

The following times apply to the October 15, 2026 launch date. Daylight-saving designations and UTC offsets are shown so you can see why each local time is correct.

“Mountain locations observing daylight time” matters because not every area associated with the Mountain zone changes clocks in the same way. Arizona, for example, generally does not observe daylight saving, so use the operating system’s named city or region instead of assuming every Mountain location has the same offset.
Convert Taubound to any city step by step
- Write down the event date and anchor: October 15, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. ET.
- Identify the date-specific Eastern offset: October 15 falls in the daylight-saving portion of the Eastern Time calendar, so ET is UTC−4 on that date.
- Convert to UTC: add four hours. The result is October 15 at 15:00 UTC.
- Choose the destination time zone by city or region: select a named zone such as America/Los_Angeles, Europe/London, or Australia/Sydney. A city-based zone automatically applies the local daylight-saving rule.
- Apply the destination offset for October 15, 2026: subtract hours for zones west of UTC and add hours for zones east of UTC.
- Check the calendar date after conversion: a large positive offset can move the launch into October 16, while a negative offset can keep it on October 15. The instant is unchanged even when the displayed date changes.
For example, London was on BST (UTC+1) in mid-October 2026. Adding one hour to 15:00 UTC produces 16:00, or 4:00 p.m., on October 15. A city in a UTC+10 region would display 01:00 on October 16, because ten hours added to 15:00 crosses midnight.
Why “ET” can produce the wrong answer
Eastern Time is a regional label covering two offsets: Eastern Daylight Time (UTC−4) and Eastern Standard Time (UTC−5). The published Taubound launch occurred while daylight time was active. If you use UTC−5 anyway, you will place the launch one hour late.
The same issue appears when converting to another region. Pacific, Central, Mountain, British, European, and Australian zones can also change their offsets seasonally, and their transition dates are not identical. Do not rely on a memorized rule such as “the United Kingdom is always five hours ahead of New York.” That relationship changes when one region changes clocks before the other.

- Use the event date, not today’s offset.
- Prefer a named city/region in a time-zone converter or calendar application.
- Verify whether the result is daylight or standard time.
- Check whether the converted time crosses midnight.
Set a calendar reminder without a one-hour error
Create the reminder from the UTC instant or from the official Eastern announcement, then let your calendar perform the conversion. Entering a fixed “11:00 ET” as a floating time can be dangerous if the calendar treats it as a generic clock value rather than the America/New_York time zone.
- Create an event dated October 15, 2026.
- Set the start time to 11:00 a.m. and assign the Eastern Time (America/New_York) zone, or enter 15:00 UTC.
- Enable the calendar’s time-zone display if available. Add a second zone for your current location to see the local result.
- Save the event and confirm the displayed local time on your phone, computer, and any device that will send the notification.
- If you travel, keep the event tied to the named time zone. A floating event may remain at 11:00 on the clock and become incorrect after you move.
For a countdown, set the target to the instant rather than to a manually calculated number of hours. Countdown applications that use the device’s time-zone database will adjust the display when the device changes location.
When the operation was available
Taubound was a one-time Warframe community operation running from October 15 through November 17, 2026. Digital Extremes described it as a single operation and stated that it would not return. The launch-time conversion tells you when the event opened; it does not extend the closing date.
Because the end date is expressed as a calendar date rather than a universal clock time in the available announcement, treat November 17 as the final event date and check the in-game event notice for the exact shutdown behavior in your region. Do not assume that a late-night session after midnight in your local zone still belongs to November 17 where the service operates.

What you could do in Taubound
The operation centered on opening a path toward the Tau System with the Sentient Mothership Praghasa. Players visited mission nodes across Eris to collect Moonflesh, then traded that resource to Praghasa. Daily narrative updates accompanied the activity, and Praghasa’s reward exchange included digital in-game items.
The official reward list included the Contegorus Armor Set, Vacis Amp Skin, Dhampyre Syandana, glyphs, emblems, weapon-related items, arcanes, Archon Shards, Kuva, Credits, and Endo. These are game rewards stored in a Warframe account; they are not physical merchandise or boxed products.
Who could enter the event
Event access required completion of Vor’s Prize. Digital Extremes lifted the normal Star Chart and Junction requirements for this operation, so a player did not need to unlock Eris through the ordinary progression route first. After Vor’s Prize, the temporary event access rules allowed eligible Tenno to reach the Eris nodes used for Moonflesh collection.

- Activity: run the event’s Eris missions, collect Moonflesh, and trade it to Praghasa.
If Eris was unavailable in your normal Star Chart, that did not by itself mean you were ineligible during the operation. The event-specific access exception was intentional.

Taubound versus the Tau Prologue Quest
Taubound and the Tau Prologue are related in theme but are not the same content. The prologue was added as permanent Codex content on October 15, while Taubound was the temporary operation with Moonflesh, Praghasa rewards, and daily event dialogue.

The Hex and The Old Peace were therefore not prerequisites for harvesting Moonflesh during Taubound. Conversely, having access to the permanent prologue does not recreate the limited-time operation or its reward exchange.

Digital Extremes explicitly stated, “There will be no reruns of Epoch Operation: Taubound.” That means a later return of the same operation should not be expected. The permanent Tau Prologue is a separate piece of content and should not be treated as a replacement source for Taubound’s event rewards, Moonflesh activity, or daily dialogue.

Troubleshoot a time-zone mismatch
Your reminder is one hour late
Most often, the calendar used UTC−5 for Eastern Time instead of UTC−4. Reopen the event and select America/New_York for October 15, 2026, or enter 15:00 UTC directly.
Your city shows the wrong date
Check whether your destination is east of UTC by enough hours to pass midnight. A result on October 16 can be correct even though the North American launch date was October 15.
A website gives two different local times
Compare the selected date, city, and daylight-saving setting. “ET,” “PT,” or “GMT” may be interpreted differently by different tools, while a named IANA city zone carries the applicable historical and seasonal rules.

The event tab is missing
First confirm that Vor’s Prize was complete and that you were checking during October 15–November 17, 2026. The event was temporary, and its access exception did not make it permanent. After the closing date, the missing operation tab is expected rather than evidence of a local clock problem.
