Start with the official Call of Duty League schedule. It already adjusts the displayed time for your location and states, “All times are in your local time.” If you are reading a third-party listing instead, convert the listed time to UTC first, then from UTC to your destination IANA time zone using the match date. Keep the date attached throughout the calculation: a late-night start such as 23:30 can become the next calendar day for you.
Is the official CDL schedule already in my local time?
Usually, yes. The official Call of Duty League schedule is designed to show times in the viewer’s local time zone. Its explicit notice is: “All times are in your local time.” That means the time shown on the official page is normally the time you should use for watching, alarms, calendar entries and reminders. You do not need to subtract or add an offset manually when you are reading the current official schedule in your own browser.
This distinction matters because many match-time errors happen when someone converts a time that has already been localized. If the official page shows 8:00 p.m. for you and you convert that value again from a remembered Eastern, Pacific or venue offset, you can move the match several hours in the wrong direction. Treat the official localized display as the final answer unless you have a specific reason to verify it.

When manual conversion is still necessary
- You copied a time from a news story, social post, stream listing, team announcement or other third-party page.
- The listing gives a source zone such as UTC, an American time zone or the event venue’s local time.
- You are comparing two schedules that appear to use different conventions.
- You are preparing a timetable for people in several countries and need a consistent reference zone.
- You saved an old screenshot or calendar entry and need to check it against the current season and stage.
In each of these cases, identify the source time zone before doing any arithmetic. A clock time without a zone is incomplete information.

The reliable conversion workflow
Use this process whenever the time did not come directly from the current official schedule in your own local display.
- Open the current official CDL schedule. Use it as the authority for the match, stage and latest published time.
- Confirm the season. The site provides separate season views, and a saved link or screenshot can refer to a different year.
- Confirm the stage. Select the relevant stage rather than assuming that every match in a season follows one time pattern.
- Prefer the localized official time. If the official page displays the match in your local time and carries the “All times are in your local time” notice, use that value directly.
- Record the third-party source zone if you are not using the official display. Write down the complete date, clock time and zone before converting. Do not infer the zone from the publisher’s country or the team’s location.
- Convert the source local time to UTC. Apply the offset that was in effect on that date, not an offset remembered from another month.
- Convert UTC to your destination IANA time zone. Use a location identifier such as
America/New_YorkorEurope/London, because these identifiers contain the location’s daylight-saving rules. - Check the calendar date after conversion. If the local result passes midnight, change the date to the following day. A 23:30 source time can become the next calendar day for the viewer.
- Refresh the official schedule shortly before watching. Stage pages, match slots and season views are time-sensitive, so an older conversion can remain mathematically correct for a time that the league later changed.
Why the date must travel with the time
Time-zone conversion is not only a clock calculation. The date determines which offset applies, and the resulting date can change when the conversion crosses midnight.
For example, start with a listing that says 23:30 on a particular match date. Convert that date and time from the listing’s source zone to UTC. Then convert the UTC instant to your IANA destination zone. If the destination clock reaches 00:00 or later, the match belongs to the next local calendar day. If it moves backward past midnight, it belongs to the previous local day.

A complete result should include the weekday, calendar date, local clock time and destination zone.
Use IANA time zones, not a fixed abbreviation
An IANA identifier names a geographic time-zone rule set. Examples include America/New_York and Europe/London. The identifier lets a converter choose the offset that applied on the match date, including daylight-saving changes.

Abbreviations such as ET, PT, GMT or CT are less precise for a date-specific conversion. They can be used by a listing as shorthand, but you should determine what the publisher means and then select the corresponding location and date in your converter. Two places can share a clock abbreviation temporarily while following different daylight-saving rules later in the year.
The safest data to enter is therefore:
- the complete match date;
- the listed clock time, including whether it is a.m. or p.m. when applicable;
- the source location or IANA zone;
- the destination IANA zone; and
- whether the listing represents a scheduled start or a later broadcast update.
How daylight saving changes the answer
Daylight-saving offsets are date-dependent. A location can have one UTC offset during part of the year and another during the rest. That is why a conversion copied from an earlier match, an old season, or a generic “time-zone difference” chart can be wrong even when the locations have not changed.

If a converter asks you to choose between a standard-time and daylight-time abbreviation, use the location-based option and let the date determine the rule.
This also explains why two apparently credible listings can disagree by one hour. One may have applied the date-specific daylight-saving offset while the other used a fixed standard-time offset. Resolve the zone and date first; only then compare the clock values.
Season, stage and venue checks
The official schedule exposes separate season and stage views. Check both before trusting a copied time. A 2026 match page is not a safe substitute for a 2027 page, and an old stage selection can leave you looking at a different set of matches.

Venue information is especially important when a third-party source describes a time as “local.” The 2026 schedule lists the playoffs and championship in Las Vegas, Nevada, while Major IV is listed for Paris, France. A listing that says “venue local time” is therefore using a different geographic rule set for those events. Do not transfer the Las Vegas assumption to the Paris stage, or either venue’s offset to a different season.

That is a practical warning against reusing an offset, calendar file or screenshot from 2026. Select the season and stage that contain the match you intend to watch, then check the page again near start time.
What to do when two listings disagree
Do not average the times or choose the one that looks familiar. Compare the listings in a fixed order:

| Timing type | Does the value mean scheduled start or an updated broadcast time? | Two times can describe different updates rather than a mathematical error. |
After this comparison, use the current official localized time for your own viewing decision. If the third-party listing is the only place that provides a source-zone time, convert that value through UTC and retain the full resulting date.

- Source local time → UTC: apply the source location’s UTC offset for the match date.
- UTC → destination local time: apply the destination location’s offset for that same instant and date.
Do not add the difference between two remembered city offsets as a shortcut. That shortcut hides daylight-saving changes and makes midnight rollover easy to miss. A UTC intermediate value also gives you a common reference when several people are comparing results.
For a group watch, record the result in a format such as “2026-06-14, 19:30, Europe/London.” Each viewer can then convert that instant to their own location without reinterpreting the original publisher’s shorthand.
Practical checklist before you set a reminder
- Open the current official schedule rather than relying on a repost.
- Verify the season and stage selectors.
- Read the local-time notice and use the displayed value if it is already localized for you.
- If you are using another listing, identify its source zone and retain the event date.
- Convert through UTC, then into your destination IANA zone.
- Check whether the local date changed after conversion.
- Record whether the time is a scheduled start or an updated broadcast time.
- Refresh the page shortly before the match because published slots can change.
Common mistakes and their fixes
Converting the official localized display a second time
Symptom: Your result is several hours earlier or later than the time shown on the official page. Fix: Treat the official page’s localized value as final. Manual conversion is for a source that is not already localized to you.
Assuming every listing uses one American time zone
Symptom: A time seems plausible but conflicts with an event in Paris or another venue. Fix: Find the source zone stated by the publisher. Never assume Eastern Time, Pacific Time, UTC or venue time without evidence.

Symptom: Your answer differs from a date-aware converter by one hour. Fix: Recalculate with the actual match date so daylight-saving rules are applied correctly.

Dropping the date during conversion
Symptom: You arrive at the right clock time but watch on the wrong evening. Fix: Carry the date through both UTC steps and update it whenever the result crosses midnight.
Comparing different schedule versions
Symptom: Two times disagree even though both pages look authoritative. Fix: Compare season, stage, venue, date and whether one page contains an updated broadcast time. Then check the current official schedule again.
A dependable answer to “What time is the CDL match where I live?”
If you are asking about a match on the current official schedule, open that page and read the displayed time: it is intended to be local to you. If you are asking about a time copied from elsewhere, you need all four pieces of information—the source date, source clock time, source zone and destination IANA zone—before conversion is trustworthy.
