Yes. In n8n, retrieve or render the webpage, produce a PDF, then use Google Drive’s File → Upload operation to save the PDF binary in a chosen folder. For accessible static HTML, you can convert the HTML into a Google Docs file and export it as PDF. If you need the page to look as it does in a browser—including JavaScript-rendered content—create the PDF with a browser-rendering step before uploading it. Drive upload stores the PDF; it does not make the page rendering more faithful.
Choose the right conversion method
“Convert a webpage to PDF” can mean either making a readable document from page content or preserving the page’s rendered appearance. The distinction determines the n8n workflow.

Google’s Drive API lists HTML as a format that can be converted to Google Docs, while n8n documents PDF as an export format for Google Docs files. These capabilities support a document-conversion route, not a guarantee that an arbitrary live webpage will be reproduced as a browser screenshot. Build the n8n workflow
1. Supply the page URL
Start with a trigger that provides the webpage URL, such as a manual trigger with a URL field or another workflow trigger. Pass the URL to the step that retrieves or renders the page. The exact trigger depends on how you want the workflow to run.

2. Retrieve or render the page
For a static page that allows automated access, an HTTP request can retrieve its HTML. Use that content as input to a document-conversion step. This works only when the response contains the content you need: sites may require authentication, block automated requests, or build the visible page with JavaScript after the initial response.
If those limitations matter, use a browser renderer or HTML-to-PDF service to make the PDF first. Configure it to access the target page and return a PDF as binary data. The renderer is a separate part of the workflow; Google Drive’s upload operation handles the resulting file, not the rendering.

3. Convert HTML through Google Docs when a document rendition is enough
Use the Google Drive conversion route when a readable document is sufficient and the HTML is accessible. In n8n, enable Convert to Google Document where applicable. n8n notes that this option requires the Google Docs API to be enabled in Google API Console. After the HTML has been converted to a Google Docs file, export or download that Google Docs file in PDF format.
The available conversion formats do not establish that the PDF will retain the live page’s exact design. Inspect the result for missing images, styling differences, and unwanted page breaks.

4. Upload the PDF binary to Google Drive
- Add a Google Drive node and choose File → Upload.
- Set the input binary field to the property containing the PDF data from the preceding conversion or rendering step.
- Provide a meaningful filename, such as
webpage-2026-10-03.pdf, and select the destination drive or folder. - Run the workflow and verify that the created Drive file opens and contains the expected pages.
The upload node expects a named binary input field. Confirm that the preceding node actually outputs binary PDF data under the field you specify; a URL or HTML text field is not itself the PDF file.

The PDF is blank or missing page content
- Check the retrieved response or rendered output before uploading. A plain HTTP response may not contain content that a browser displays after JavaScript runs.
- Check whether the page requires login or blocks automated requests. A request that cannot access the content cannot produce a complete PDF.
- For dynamic pages, use a browser-rendering step that waits for the content to appear before generating the PDF.
The Drive upload fails or creates an unusable file
- Confirm the upload node’s binary property matches the actual field output by the prior node.
- Verify that the prior step returned PDF file data rather than HTML, text, or a URL.
- Check the filename and selected drive or folder, then inspect the node output for an upload error.
The PDF looks different from the webpage
- For HTML-to-Google-Docs conversion, inspect images, formatting, and page breaks; conversion is not a promise of browser-faithful layout.
- If the visual layout or script-rendered content matters, switch to a browser renderer that outputs the PDF before the Drive upload.
- Check the rendered PDF itself before passing it to Drive. Uploading a file does not correct rendering or truncation.
Performance, reliability, and cost considerations
Workflow time and success depend on page access, page complexity, and the conversion or rendering component you choose. Dynamic content may need time to load; adding a renderer adds another dependency to monitor. For recurring workflows, choose stable filenames or include a date or identifier to avoid confusing outputs, and verify the resulting files in the destination folder.
