Firefox for Android and iOS provide mobile save options as well. The exact controls differ by platform, so use the section for your device.
Convert a webpage to PDF on desktop Firefox
- Open the page you want to save in Firefox.
- Open the Firefox menu (the three-line button) and select Print…. Firefox opens print preview.
- In Destination, select Save to PDF. If another printer is selected, open the destination list and switch it to the PDF option.
- Review the preview and change the settings you need.
- Click Print, choose a folder and filename when prompted, and save the PDF.
The saved file contains the print version of the page, not necessarily a pixel-for-pixel copy of what you saw in the browser. Websites can define their own print styles, so columns, navigation, advertisements, colors and spacing may change.
Print-preview settings that matter

Mozilla notes that Simplified format disables Print backgrounds. If a background is important, use Original format instead. Always inspect the preview before saving when layout matters.
Save a webpage as PDF in Firefox for Android
Use Android Firefox’s direct Save as PDF action
- Open the webpage in Firefox for Android.
- Tap the three-dot menu.
- Tap the Share icon.
- Choose Save as PDF.
- Tap Download.
The file is saved in the device’s Downloads folder. Open it with your preferred PDF viewer or find it in the Android Files app.

Use Android’s print dialog instead
- Open the Firefox three-dot menu and choose Print.
- Wait for Android Print Spooler to open.
- Set the destination to Save as PDF.
- Choose paper size, orientation, color and the page range if those controls are available.
- Tap the PDF save button and select a location.
This route is useful when the direct share menu does not show Save as PDF or when you need the system print settings.
Save a webpage as PDF in Firefox for iPhone or iPad
Use the website menu
- Open the webpage in Firefox for iOS.
- Open the website menu.
- Select Save as PDF.
- Use the iOS share sheet to choose where to store or send the file, such as Files, Mail or Messages.
Menu labels can vary with the installed app version. Mozilla says the redesigned Firefox for iOS menu is enabled by default beginning with version 142’s general rollout.
Create a full-page PDF from a screenshot
Use this alternative when the menu action is unavailable or when you need the page as it appears in a long, scrollable view.
- Take a screenshot using your iPhone model’s normal button combination.
- Tap the screenshot thumbnail before it disappears.
- Choose Full Page in the screenshot editor.
- Tap Done, then choose Save as PDF.
Button combinations differ between iPhone models. A full-page screenshot may preserve the visible design better than print layout, but it can be less convenient to search, select text from or print.

Make the PDF readable and complete
Let the page finish loading
Wait for images, charts and expandable sections to appear before opening print preview. If a page loads content only after scrolling, scroll through it first and then print. Lazy-loaded images may otherwise be absent.
Check the preview for common layout changes
- Headings may move to the next page and tables may split across pages.
- Sticky navigation, cookie notices and chat controls may appear unless the site’s print stylesheet hides them.
- Dark-mode colors can become low-contrast on paper; try Original versus Simplified and inspect the color setting.
- Very wide content can be clipped; landscape orientation or a smaller scale usually fixes it.
- Some interactive controls, videos and animations cannot become interactive PDF content. Save a link or use a screenshot when the visual state is what matters.
Preserve source context
Keep headers and footers enabled when the PDF is evidence, a citation or a record that others must identify later. Include the page title and URL when those fields are offered, and record the date separately if the page changes frequently.
Troubleshooting Firefox PDF saves
There is no “Save to PDF” destination on desktop
Open the destination drop-down in print preview and look for the operating system’s PDF printer. On some systems it may be named Microsoft Print to PDF or another system PDF printer rather than Firefox’s exact wording. If no PDF destination exists, install or enable the operating system’s built-in PDF printer, then reopen print preview.
The PDF is blank or missing images
Reload the page, wait for it to finish, disable a content-blocking extension for that site, and print again. Scroll through long pages to trigger lazy-loaded images. If the page requires a login, confirm that you are still signed in before opening preview.

Background colors or images disappeared
Enable Print backgrounds in the preview. If you selected Simplified format, switch to Original because Simplified disables that background setting.
Text or a table is cut off
Try landscape orientation, reduce scale, choose a larger paper size or reduce margins. For a table that still does not fit, print a selected page range or export the table from the site’s own download feature if one exists.
The mobile option is missing
On Android, try the three-dot menu → Share route first, then the Print route and Android Print Spooler. On iOS, update Firefox if the redesigned menu is not present, or use the full-page screenshot method.
The file saved somewhere unexpected
Android’s direct Save as PDF flow stores the file in Downloads. On desktop, check the folder selected in the save dialog and Firefox’s download history. On iOS, check the destination selected in the share sheet, usually the Files app.

Can I save only part of a webpage?
Use the print preview’s page-range controls for pages, or select and copy the specific content into a document before exporting when you need an exact subsection.
Will links in the webpage still work in the PDF?
Many print-to-PDF workflows preserve hyperlinks, but the result depends on the page and operating system. Test an important document after saving.
Why does the PDF look different from the browser tab?
Websites can provide separate print styles. Print preview may change columns, hide controls or omit backgrounds, so inspect the preview and adjust Original/Simplified, scale, margins and background settings.
