To connect Galaxy Buds to Android, open the case with the earbuds inside and use the setup route for your phone: Galaxy Wearable on most non-Samsung Android phones, or QuickPair/Bluetooth on Samsung Galaxy phones updated to One UI 8. If the Buds do not appear, put that specific model into pairing mode before choosing it in Android’s Bluetooth settings.

Connect Galaxy Buds with Galaxy Wearable
- Install or open the Galaxy Wearable app on your Android phone.
- Put both earbuds in their charging case and open the case near the phone.
- When the Buds appear in Galaxy Wearable, select them and follow the pairing prompts.
- If the app asks, install the Galaxy Buds Manager component, sign in to a Samsung account, and grant the requested permissions.
- Continue through the remaining on-screen setup.
Samsung Japan lists Android 7.0 or later and at least 1.5 GB of RAM for Galaxy Wearable support. Those are requirements on that regional support page, not universal requirements for Android Bluetooth pairing. Pair with a Samsung Galaxy on One UI 8
- Put the earbuds in their case and open it near the Galaxy phone.
- If a QuickPair pop-up appears, tap Connect and follow the setup steps.
- If no pop-up appears, put the Buds into pairing mode using the instructions for their model below. Open the phone’s Bluetooth settings, then select the Buds from the available devices.
Samsung’s One UI 8 instructions say Galaxy Wearable is not needed for this pairing route. Menus and pop-ups can vary with the phone model and software version.
Put the Buds into pairing mode if they are not detected

If your earbuds’ controls do not match these steps, check the instructions for the exact model rather than trying a sequence intended for a different generation.
Troubleshoot a failed or unstable connection
Work through these steps in order. They address pairing mode, interference, and saved Bluetooth connections before escalating to service.

- Check pairing mode and distance. Confirm that the Buds are discoverable using their model-specific procedure and keep them near the phone.
- Reduce possible interference. Move away from nearby sources of wireless interference and try again.
- Restart both devices. Restart the earbuds and the phone, then retry the connection.
- Remove the saved pairing and reconnect. In the phone’s Bluetooth settings, unpair or forget the Galaxy Buds entry. Put the earbuds back into pairing mode and pair them again.
- Check for software updates. Look for available updates for the phone and earbuds.
- Contact Samsung support if the issue remains. Samsung’s troubleshooting guidance says service may be required if these steps do not restore the connection. Samsung US troubleshooting for earbuds that will not connect or stay connected
What happens after the first pairing?
After setup, some models reconnect when their case is opened. Samsung UK specifically describes automatic reconnection for Galaxy Buds and Buds+ after they have been paired. Bluetooth pairing establishes a connection, but the cited setup instructions do not establish that every Galaxy Buds feature works on every Android phone. Use Galaxy Wearable where available if you need the app-based setup and management options for your model.
