To connect Logitech speakers, match an audio output on your computer, TV, or console to an input supported by your exact speaker model, then select that input and the correct playback device. Logitech models can use USB, Bluetooth, 3.5 mm, RCA, optical, coaxial, or multichannel analog connections; there is no single method that works for every set.
Identify the speaker’s inputs and the source’s outputs
Check the labels on the speaker, control unit, and source device, then consult the manuals for the exact models. Connect a source output to a speaker input of the same type. A port that looks familiar is not enough: for example, an optical output needs a speaker system with an optical input, while Bluetooth works only if the speaker supports it.
- USB: A supported digital connection for models such as the Logitech G560 and Z407.
- Bluetooth: A wireless option on models such as the G560, Z407, and Z337.
- 3.5 mm auxiliary: An analog connection used by several Logitech models, including the G560, Z407, Z337, and Z906.
- RCA: An analog connection available on models such as the Z337 and Z906.
- Optical or coaxial: Digital inputs available on the Z906.
- Multichannel analog: The Z906 accepts six-channel analog audio from a compatible computer sound card.
For ordinary wired computer speakers, Logitech’s general instruction is to connect the speaker cable to the computer sound card’s Line Out or Speaker jack. If you cannot identify the correct jack, check the computer or sound-card documentation: Logitech Support’s computer connection instructions.
Connect Logitech speakers to a computer
Basic wired speakers
- Turn the speakers and computer down or off while connecting, if practical.
- Connect the speakers’ audio cable to the computer’s Line Out or Speaker jack, or use another matching input documented for your speaker model.
- Turn the devices on and select the Logitech speakers or the relevant audio device as the computer’s playback output in its sound settings.
- Play audio and adjust volume on both the computer and the speakers.
USB, Bluetooth, or 3.5 mm models
Follow the instructions for the exact model and connection. The G560 supports USB, Bluetooth, and 3.5 mm auxiliary; Logitech says you may need to set it as the computer’s default audio output. Its full LIGHTSYNC features require USB and Logitech Game Software; features are limited over Bluetooth and 3.5 mm. See Logitech’s G560 setup guide.

The Z407 supports USB, Bluetooth, and 3.5 mm auxiliary. It defaults to the last connection used, so use the dial controls to switch between wired and Bluetooth inputs. Logitech says it can pair with up to eight Bluetooth source devices and connect to two at once. See Logitech’s Z407 setup instructions.
Connect a computer to the Z906
The Z906 can receive computer audio through optical, coaxial, six-channel analog, or stereo 3.5 mm/Aux. Use the path your computer sound hardware supports:

- Convenient Control Pod
- 25 Watts (RMS) Output
- Compact Subwoofer
- Optical or coaxial: Connect to the matching Z906 input and select that input on the control console.
- Six-channel analog: Match the computer sound-card outputs to the Z906’s color-coded inputs.
- Stereo analog: Connect to the green 3.5 mm input or Aux and select the corresponding input.
Logitech notes that not all computer sound cards support surround output. Connection type alone does not ensure multichannel sound. See Logitech’s Z906 PC connection guide.
Connect Logitech speakers to a TV
There is no universal TV connection or menu sequence. First check which audio outputs the TV actually has and which inputs the speaker accepts. For example, Logitech documents RCA and 3.5 mm analog inputs on the Z337, and optical, RCA, coaxial, and 3.5 mm inputs on the Z906. The specific speaker manual determines which connections it supports; the TV manual identifies its outputs. See the Z906 technical specifications and Z337 setup instructions.

- Balanced audio sound with depth - 2 Watts Peak/ 1.2 Watts RMS power produces immersive and crystal clear sound.
- Simple and quick USB connection. Just plug the speakers into your computer USB-A port. An orange LED stays lit when your speakers are on. Disconnect the USB-A cable to power off.
- Easy controls. You can easily control the volume or mute on the front of the right speaker to get great audio experience.
- They are slim, lightweight and easy to move around so you can accommodate your setup and get perfect sound wherever you are.
- Your long lasting product set with a solid build quality.
- Connect a TV audio output to a matching speaker input using the appropriate cable.
- Select that input on the speaker or its control unit.
- If there is no sound, check the TV’s audio output settings and consult its manual for the available choices.
Do not assume a TV provides a particular output or that every digital signal is compatible. With a Z906 digital connection, the source format and content affect what the system can decode and whether surround sound is available.
Connect Logitech speakers to a game console
Z906
Logitech’s console guide names optical for the Xbox, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 2/3 examples it covers, and RCA for the original PlayStation and Nintendo Wii. Connect to the matching Z906 input and select it on the control console. These instructions cover older console generations; for a newer system, check its manual for available audio outputs and supported formats rather than assuming the older connection applies. See Logitech’s Z906 console guide.

- MULTIPLE WAYS TO CONNECT AND SWITCH – You’ve got options. Connect up to three devices via Bluetooth, micro USB, and the 3.5 mm input. Switch between wired and wireless connections with the wired input button and Bluetooth button.
Even if a console supports 5.1 output, a particular game, film, or streaming item may not supply surround sound.
G560
Logitech says PS4 users can configure the G560 as a USB sound device or connect sound through its 3.5 mm input. Its guidance describes 3.5 mm audio for other consoles. The custom game-driven LIGHTSYNC effects require a USB connection to a computer running Logitech Gaming Software, so do not expect those computer features from a console connection. See Logitech’s G560 console guidance.

Fix Logitech speakers with no sound
Start with the active input and the simplest parts of the signal path. These checks are a starting point; controls and behavior vary by Logitech model.
- Check power, input, and playback output. Make sure the speakers are on, choose the wired or Bluetooth input that is actually connected, and—on a computer—select the Logitech speakers or relevant sound device as the playback output. The Z337 defaults to its last-used input; the Z407 uses its dial controls to switch inputs.
- For Bluetooth, verify the active source. Confirm the source device is connected and is the one playing audio. While diagnosing, disconnect other active Bluetooth sources; if needed, unpair and pair again.
- For analog cables, check both ends. Reseat 3.5 mm or RCA connections, try a known-good cable, or test with another source device if available.
- Raise both volume controls. Check volume at the source and at the speaker.
- For Z906 optical or coaxial audio, check input and format. Select the matching input and verify the source and media settings offer a supported format. Logitech lists Dolby Digital, DTS, and PCM as Z906 digital formats.
Logitech’s Z337 no-audio troubleshooting guide covers source selection, cable checks, volume, and Bluetooth diagnosis. Z906 input and format details are in its technical specifications and PC connection guide.
Choose among multiple connection options
If both devices offer more than one possible path, compare these details before connecting:
Quick Recap
- Matching ports: The source must have an output that corresponds to an input on the speaker.
- Wireless support: Bluetooth is available only on models that support it; otherwise use a compatible cable connection.
- Computer output selection: A computer may continue playing through its built-in speakers until you select the Logitech device in sound settings.
- Audio format: Stereo and multichannel sound depend on the source hardware, its output configuration, and the content.
- Feature requirements: Some optional effects depend on a computer and software, even when basic audio works through another connection.
