Yes—UFL Mobile currently supports DualShock and DualSense controllers, including Bluetooth and wired connections. Bluetooth-capable Xbox Wireless Controllers are also supported in current reporting. UFL Mobile runs on iPhone, iPad, and Android, but UFL has not published a complete model-by-model compatibility list. Pair the controller with your phone or tablet first, then launch the game.
UFL announced its mobile version on May 22, 2026, after reporting more than 7 million UFL players worldwide. Pocket Gamer reported 10 million UFL Mobile downloads on October 16, 2026, along with the addition of controller support. Those milestones describe the game’s reach, not a guarantee that every controller model works.
What works with UFL Mobile
Controller support was added to UFL Mobile in October 2026. Current reporting identifies Sony DualShock and DualSense controllers as supported over Bluetooth or USB, and includes Xbox controllers among the supported types. The reports do not establish that every controller carrying those names works, nor do they provide a definitive list of third-party gamepads.
UFL Mobile is available for iOS and Android. The operating system must recognize the controller before UFL Mobile can receive its inputs. Pairing a gamepad in the phone’s Bluetooth menu is therefore the first step; opening the game before pairing can leave you with a connected phone but no controls in the match.

- Haptic feedback - Feel physically responsive feedback to your in-game actions with dual actuators which replace traditional rumble motors. In your hands, these dynamic vibrations can simulate the feeling of everything from environments to the recoil of different weapons. .Operating temperature : 41 °F to 95 °F (5 °C to 35 °C)
- Adaptive triggers - Experience varying levels of force and tension as you interact with your in-game gear and environments. From pulling back an increasingly tight bowstring to hitting the brakes on a speeding car, feel physically connected to your on-screen actions.
- Built-in microphone and headset jack - Chat with friends online using the built-in microphone or by connecting a headset to the 3.5mm jack. Easily switch voice capture on and off at a moment’s notice with the dedicated mute button. Internet and account for PlayStation Network required.
- DualSense Controller PS5 and PC compatible. Not compatible with PS4.
- PS Remote Play requires Remote Play App connected to Wi-Fi, PS4 or PS5 console with the latest system software and compatible game. A PS4 or PS5 console with a wired connection via a LAN cable is recommended. Version 4.0 of the Remote Play App on iOS and iPadOS or version 4.1 on macOS is required for games to be playable with the controller over Bluetooth.
Compatibility has three separate parts: the controller must have a connection method your device supports, the operating system must accept its Bluetooth or USB profile, and UFL Mobile must map the incoming buttons correctly. A controller can pass the first two tests and still fail in the game. That is why a system-level “connected” message is useful evidence, but not proof of UFL compatibility.
| Controller choice | Connection options | What is established | Main qualification |
|---|---|---|---|
| PS5 DualSense | Bluetooth or compatible USB connection | Current reporting says DualSense is supported; Sony documents both wireless and USB pairing with supported mobile devices. | Phone port, adapter, operating-system support, and the individual controller must all be compatible. |
| DualShock 4 | Bluetooth or wired connection where supported | Current reporting includes DualShock controllers in UFL Mobile support. | UFL has not published a complete model matrix or a guaranteed setup path for every DualShock variant. |
| Xbox Wireless Controller | Bluetooth on models that include it; wired connection may depend on the device | Current reporting includes Xbox controllers, and standard mobile guidance uses the controller’s bind button. | Older Xbox controllers without Bluetooth cannot use the wireless procedure below. |
| Third-party Bluetooth gamepad | Bluetooth, and sometimes USB | Recognition depends on the controller profile, mobile operating system, button mapping, and UFL’s current implementation. | No complete official third-party compatibility list is available. |
Before you pair a controller
- Install the current version of UFL Mobile from your device’s official app store.
- Charge the controller. A low battery can prevent pairing mode or cause inputs to drop.
- Disconnect the controller from a PS5, Xbox, computer, or another phone. A controller that reconnects to its previous device may not appear to your mobile device.
- On a wired setup, have a data-capable USB cable and the correct adapter for your phone or tablet’s port. A cable made only for charging may not carry controller data.
- Keep the controller close to the phone during first pairing and temporarily turn off Bluetooth on nearby devices that might claim it.
- Close any game or controller utility that may already be using the gamepad. Start UFL Mobile only after the mobile device reports a completed connection.
- Note your phone or tablet model and operating-system version. These details are useful if you need to contact UFL support.
Connect a PS5 DualSense to UFL Mobile
The same pairing sequence applies to a DualSense-family controller whether you use an iPhone, iPad, or Android phone. Sony’s documented method uses the Create and PS buttons together. Pairing is performed in the mobile device’s settings, not in a special UFL screen.
- Turn the controller off or disconnect it. If it is currently linked to a console or computer, shut that device down or disable its Bluetooth connection.
- Remove the USB cable. Wireless pairing mode requires the controller to be untethered.
- Enter pairing mode. Press and hold the Create button and the PS button at the same time. Keep holding them until the light bar begins flashing.
- Open the mobile Bluetooth screen. On iPhone or iPad, open Settings > Bluetooth. On Android, open Settings > Connected devices > Pair new device, or the equivalent Bluetooth page used by your device.
- Select the controller. Tap the DualSense entry when it appears in the list of available devices. Wait for the status to change to connected or paired.
- Launch UFL Mobile after pairing. Start the game only after the operating system reports a successful connection.
- Test the controls. Use the menus or a training screen to confirm that the left stick, face buttons, triggers, and shoulder buttons respond before entering a competitive match.
If the DualSense does not appear, switch Bluetooth off and on, confirm that the light bar is still flashing, and repeat the Create-plus-PS sequence. Also check that the controller has not silently reconnected to a PS5. UFL’s reviewed support material does not establish a universal in-game controller toggle, so do not assume a missing setting is the cause.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?

If a DualSense is paired to several devices, the phone may show an old saved entry while the controller connects elsewhere. Forget the old entry on the phone, put the controller back into pairing mode, and select the newly advertised device. Keep the controller near the phone until pairing finishes.
Connect an Xbox controller to UFL Mobile
Use an Xbox Wireless Controller model that has Bluetooth. The external appearance of older and newer models can be similar, so check the controller’s specifications if you are unsure. A model without Bluetooth cannot follow this wireless process.
- Power on the controller. Press the Xbox button.
- Start wireless pairing. Press and hold the controller’s bind or connect button until the Xbox logo begins flashing.
- Open Bluetooth settings on the phone or tablet. Use the device’s normal Bluetooth pairing page.
- Choose the Xbox controller. Tap its name when it appears among available devices and wait for the paired or connected status.
- Open UFL Mobile. Launch the game only after the operating system has completed pairing.
- Verify input in the game. Move both sticks and press several buttons in a noncompetitive screen so you can identify a mapping or recognition problem without risking a match.
UFL’s current reporting does not identify every supported Xbox model. Treat Bluetooth capability as a prerequisite, not proof that a particular revision is guaranteed to work. If the controller pairs with the phone but produces no input in UFL Mobile, follow the troubleshooting sequence later in this guide.
Older Xbox controllers that rely on a proprietary wireless connection rather than Bluetooth will not appear in the phone’s ordinary Bluetooth list. Do not buy an adapter or assume that a console wireless receiver is supported on mobile unless the device and UFL specifically document that setup. A Bluetooth-capable controller is the safer choice for a phone or tablet.

Pair a generic Bluetooth controller
Third-party gamepads use different button combinations for pairing, so consult the controller’s own instructions for the exact way to make its status light flash. The mobile workflow is otherwise consistent.
- Charge the gamepad and disconnect it from any other host.
- Put it into Bluetooth pairing mode using its documented pairing button or button combination.
- Open Bluetooth settings on the iPhone, iPad, or Android device.
- Select the gamepad’s name and wait for pairing to finish.
- Launch UFL Mobile and test every important control.
Pairing at the operating-system level does not guarantee game support. UFL Mobile must recognize the controller’s Bluetooth profile and map its inputs. The phone’s operating system, the gamepad’s button layout, and UFL’s current implementation can all affect the result. Because no complete third-party compatibility list has been published, consider an unlisted gamepad experimental rather than guaranteed.
Some third-party pads offer separate Android, iOS, desktop, or “X-input” modes. Use the mode intended for your mobile device and test the face-button labels rather than assuming that the printed A/B/X/Y or symbol layout matches the on-screen prompts. A controller with unusual profiles may pair successfully but send an input format UFL Mobile does not currently interpret.
Use a wired controller connection
Current reporting says DualShock and DualSense controllers can work with UFL Mobile over a cable as well as Bluetooth. Sony also documents USB connections for the DualSense family. A wired link can avoid wireless pairing conflicts, but it introduces its own hardware requirements.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute- Match the connector to the device. A USB-C phone may accept a USB-C cable or adapter; an older device may require a different connector. Use an adapter designed for data, not charging alone.
- Connect before launching the game. Plug the controller into the phone or tablet, wait for the operating system to recognize it, and then open UFL Mobile.
- Keep the cable secure. A loose connector can repeatedly disconnect the controller during play.
- Expect device-specific limits. Compatibility depends on the phone or tablet port, operating-system support, cable, adapter, and controller. No universal cable-and-phone combination is guaranteed by the available UFL information.
If a wired DualSense is not detected, try another known data cable, remove any hub, reconnect the adapter, and confirm that the mobile device supports USB accessories. If the operating system never detects the controller, UFL Mobile cannot receive its inputs.
A wired cable and a phone or controller mount are optional accessories, not requirements for a supported Bluetooth setup. A mount can improve viewing angle and comfort, while a cable can be useful when wireless pairing is unreliable. Check the phone’s port and the controller’s connector before purchasing either accessory.
Recommended connection order
Use this order whenever you switch controllers or mobile devices:
Rank #3
- Feel you in-game actions and environement simulated through haptic feedback
- Experience varying force and tension at your fingertips with adaptive triggers
- Chat online through the built-in microphone
- Connect a headset directly via the 3.5mm jack
- Switch voice capture on and off using the dedicated mute button
- Disconnect the controller from consoles, computers, and other phones.
- Charge it and place it in the correct pairing mode, or connect the USB cable.
- Confirm the controller appears as connected in the phone or tablet’s system settings.
- Close UFL Mobile completely if it was already running.
- Reopen UFL Mobile and test input in a low-risk screen.
- Only start a competitive match after the controls respond consistently.
This sequence separates Bluetooth or USB problems from in-game recognition problems. If the controller is absent from system settings, troubleshoot the connection. If it is present there but inactive in UFL Mobile, troubleshoot the game or contact support.
Troubleshoot a controller that will not work
The controller does not appear in Bluetooth settings
- Confirm the controller is actually flashing in pairing mode. For DualSense, hold Create and PS; for Xbox, hold the bind/connect button.
- Turn the phone or tablet’s Bluetooth off, wait a few seconds, and turn it back on.
- Power the controller off and repeat pairing mode.
- Move away from the console, computer, or phone that previously used the controller, or disable Bluetooth on that device.
- Charge the controller and retry.
- Verify that the Xbox model includes Bluetooth; older models may not.
- Forget an old saved controller entry if the phone keeps trying to use a stale pairing record.
The phone says “connected,” but UFL Mobile ignores input
- Close UFL Mobile and reopen it while the controller remains connected.
- In Bluetooth settings, remove or forget the controller, then pair it again from scratch.
- Test the controller with the mobile operating system or another controller-compatible app to determine whether the issue is system-wide.
- Install available updates for UFL Mobile and the controller firmware where the manufacturer provides an update method.
- Try the controller by USB if your device and controller support a data connection. This helps distinguish a wireless-profile issue from a broader compatibility problem.
- If the controller works elsewhere but not in UFL Mobile, use the game’s in-app mobile support route. UFL’s public mobile material does not publish a definitive controller-settings menu or a complete model matrix, so support is the appropriate escalation for an unrecognized paired device.
Inputs are delayed, intermittent, or mapped incorrectly
- Keep the controller close to the phone and remove unnecessary Bluetooth connections.
- Recharge the controller and reconnect it.
- Forget the existing pairing and create a new one rather than repeatedly reconnecting a damaged pairing record.
- Check that the gamepad is using a standard mode intended for mobile devices; some third-party controllers expose separate Android, iOS, or desktop modes.
- Test each stick, trigger, and face button in a safe game screen. If only one control fails, the issue may be mapping or hardware rather than pairing.
- Try a wired connection, when supported, to see whether the problem is limited to Bluetooth interference or the wireless profile.
Choosing between PS5, Xbox, and Bluetooth options
| Decision factor | DualSense or DualShock | Bluetooth-capable Xbox controller | Generic Bluetooth gamepad |
|---|---|---|---|
| Compatibility evidence | Current reporting explicitly includes DualShock and DualSense. | Current reporting includes Xbox controllers, but not every model. | Depends on profile, operating system, mapping, and UFL implementation. |
| Pairing control | Create + PS | Bind/connect button | Varies by manufacturer |
| Wireless convenience | Yes, when Bluetooth pairing succeeds | Yes, when the model has Bluetooth | Usually, if the controller supports a mobile-compatible profile |
| Wired option | Reported for DualShock and DualSense; USB requirements still apply | Model and device dependent | Model and device dependent |
| Best reason to choose it | You already own a PlayStation controller and want the clearest reported UFL support. | You already own a Bluetooth-capable Xbox controller and prefer its layout. | You need a different size, layout, or mounting arrangement and accept more uncertainty. |
For comfort, a phone mount can keep the screen at a usable angle, while a USB-C or other appropriate data cable is useful when wireless pairing is unreliable. Neither accessory is required for a supported Bluetooth setup. The most supportable purchase is a controller whose Bluetooth capability is clearly documented, rather than an older model that requires a console-specific receiver.
When to contact UFL Mobile support
Contact support through the in-app mobile support route after you have confirmed that the controller pairs in the operating system, removed and recreated the Bluetooth pairing, updated the game, and tested the controller by another supported method where possible. Include the phone or tablet model, operating-system version, controller model, connection type, and the exact point of failure. This information helps distinguish an unsupported model from a temporary pairing problem.
As of October 19, 2026, UFL’s available mobile support information confirms iOS and Android availability and provides a support channel, but it does not publish a complete controller compatibility matrix. Treat model-specific claims beyond the DualShock, DualSense, and reported Xbox support as provisional unless UFL confirms them directly.
