Connect the Instagram account through your Facebook Page or Meta account settings, then confirm that the right Page and Instagram account are linked. You need a Facebook login with the Page access required to manage linked accounts. Once connected, use Accounts Center to review cross-posting and other connected experiences; linking alone does not mean every post will be shared automatically.
1. Check that you have access to manage the Page
Sign in to the Facebook account you use to manage the business Page. Meta’s access guidance associates managing linked accounts, including Instagram, with Facebook access to the Page. If you cannot find or change linked-account settings, check your Page access before troubleshooting elsewhere.
Meta distinguishes Facebook access from task access. Task access can let someone work with a Page through management tools such as Meta Business Suite, Creator Studio, Ads Manager, or Business Manager. Facebook access allows someone to switch into and manage the Page on Facebook. For a Page in a business portfolio, permissions may differ from ordinary Facebook access, so check the access assigned to your account. See Meta’s Page access guidance.
2. Open the Page’s linked-account settings
From the Facebook account with the necessary Page access, look in the Page’s account, settings, or linked-account area for the option to connect Instagram. Meta’s entry points and labels can vary across Facebook, Instagram, and Meta Business Suite, so use the current connection guidance in Meta’s Help Center rather than relying on a fixed sequence of screen taps.

When Meta’s connection flow asks you to choose or sign in to Instagram, use the account you intend to link and approve the connection. Then check that the intended Facebook Page and Instagram account appear together as connected. The exact screens and button names can vary.
3. Manage the connection and sharing in the right place

Accounts Center is where Meta groups connected-account settings and experiences. After adding accounts there, you can review options for sharing Facebook posts to Instagram or Instagram posts to Facebook. 4. If you cannot connect the accounts
- The connection option is missing: confirm that you are signed in with the Facebook identity that has the Page access needed to manage linked accounts.
- The wrong Page appears: check that you selected the business Page you intend to connect.
- The wrong Instagram account appears: verify that you are signing in to the intended Instagram account during the authorization flow.
- You have task access but cannot manage the link: task access and Facebook access are not the same. Ask a Page administrator to check which access your account has.
