The fastest reliable method is to follow the same loop every day: sweep every red, purple, and green Candy Bowl in the Plaza, visit the six homes with lit Jack-o’-Lanterns, keep one candy of each color for A 3-Course Halloween Meal!, gift candy to 10 different villagers, and eat the rest toward the 15-, 30-, and 45-sweet Sugar Rush thresholds. Wear a mask and harvest pumpkins during those trips so the parallel duties finish without a separate grind.

Know the 2026 event schedule before planning your route

Gameloft’s 2026 Trick-or-Treat event runs from October 14 through October 31, 2026. Candy Bowls appear in the Plaza in three colors: red, purple, and green. The cadence changes on the final day, so the best login pattern depends on the date.

Date Spawn pattern Candy from a complete color set Best approach
October 14–30 Two red, two purple, and two green bowls every 24 hours 12 candies total per refresh (four of each color) Check the Plaza once per day, then run the house and villager loop.
October 31 Two bowls of each color every hour 12 candies per hourly refresh Return to the Plaza repeatedly if you still need candy or unfinished duties.

Each Candy Bowl gives two candies of its color when collected. The game allows no more than five bowls of a given color to remain present at once. If you skip several checks, the Plaza can therefore hold a backlog, but it cannot grow beyond that five-bowl-per-color cap. Collecting all six daily bowls normally gives 12 candies: four red, four purple, and four green.

The event wording confirms that candy has two uses: “Candy can be eaten or gifted to complete Event Duties.” That means you should not automatically consume every piece as soon as you pick it up. Reserve the colors needed for the meal duty first, then assign the rest to villagers or Sugar Rush.

What you must complete

The event duties fall into four practical groups: candy collection and spending, house interactions, and two chores that can run in the background. Their thresholds and rewards are different, so tracking them separately prevents wasted trips.

Duty Requirement Reward milestones or stated reward
Sugar Rush Eat 15, then 30, then 45 sweets. Successive pumpkin rewards at the 15-, 30-, and 45-sweet milestones.
Trick or Treat Give candy to 10 villagers. Complete the event duty after 10 villagers receive candy.
A 3-Course Halloween Meal! Eat one red, one green, and one purple event candy. Complete the three-color meal duty.
Villainy Wears Many Masks Wear one mask. Complete the mask duty; the event does not require a particular mask in the stated requirement.
Stockpiling Pumpkins Harvest 100 pumpkins. Complete the pumpkin-harvesting duty.
Sweet ‘n’ Scary (2026) Complete one, two, and three house trick-or-treat interactions. Halloween Town fence rewards at the successive milestones.
Scarily Sweet (2026) Complete five, 10, and 20 house interactions. Gravestone, graveyard statue, and mausoleum rewards at the successive milestones.

The two house-duty lines count the same type of interaction, while the candy-gifting duty is a separate action. Visiting a lit house lantern does not, by itself, give candy to a villager for Trick or Treat.

Prepare your character and inventory

Wear a mask before starting

Equip any mask before you begin the route. Villainy Wears Many Masks requires wearing one mask, so putting it on at the start lets that duty complete while you perform unrelated tasks. The stated requirement does not specify a color, character, rarity, or number of masks.

Make room for candy and pumpkins

Clear enough inventory space for the Plaza pickup and any pumpkin harvests. A full inventory can interrupt the loop at the least convenient point, forcing you to stop and sort items before the next interaction. If you are deliberately saving candy, keep the three colors easy to identify rather than combining the reserve with general food supplies.

Set up a simple progress record

Use the in-game duty counters where available, and keep a short note for villager gifts. The gifting requirement is 10 villagers, not merely 10 pieces of candy. Recording names prevents you from repeatedly giving candy to the same character while assuming the total has increased.

Run the fastest daily route

Use this order from October 14 through October 30. It minimizes backtracking and protects the candy needed for the three-course meal.

  1. Start in the Plaza. Walk the entire area and collect every visible red, purple, and green Candy Bowl. Check behind buildings, along edges, and around decorations before leaving; the objective is to clear all available bowls, not just one of each color.
  2. Sort the pickup mentally or in your inventory. Keep at least one red, one green, and one purple candy untouched. Treat those three pieces as reserved for A 3-Course Halloween Meal! until that duty is complete.
  3. Visit the six marked homes. Look for a lit Jack-o’-Lantern outside Mickey Mouse, WALL•E, Daisy, Stitch, Mike Wazowski, and Jack Skellington’s homes. Interact with each lit lantern to start the special Trick or Treat house interaction.
  4. Check the house counters. The first, second, and third interactions advance Sweet ‘n’ Scary; the fifth, 10th, and 20th advance Scarily Sweet. If a home has no lit lantern, do not spend time searching for a normal conversation prompt—the event interaction is tied to the lit lantern.
  5. Gift candy to villagers. Use the remaining candy on 10 different villagers. Choose villagers you can reach naturally on your route and mark each recipient immediately. This is a count of villagers, so distributing multiple pieces to one character does not substitute for 10 recipients.
  6. Finish the three-color meal. Once you have confirmed the red, green, and purple reserve, eat one of each color. This completes the meal duty without risking a missing color later.
  7. Use surplus candy for Sugar Rush. Eat additional sweets until the duty records 15, 30, and 45 eaten. Consume surplus only after the meal reserve and any candy needed for the 10-villager requirement are accounted for.
  8. Harvest pumpkins while moving between stops. Pick mature pumpkins from plots you pass, then continue harvesting on later loops until the total reaches 100 for Stockpiling Pumpkins.

On a normal day, make the Plaza sweep your first action because the bowls refresh on a 24-hour cadence. Then complete houses, gifting, and eating in one continuous circuit. The route is efficient because it combines travel-based interactions with the two background chores instead of treating each duty as an isolated errand.

Allocate candy without blocking a duty

Step 1: Preserve one of every color

The meal duty is color-specific. Before eating or gifting, set aside one red, one green, and one purple candy. The candies can come from any collected bowls; the requirement is to eat all three colors from the event collection. Do not spend the final piece of a color on a villager until the meal is complete.

Step 2: Plan the 10-villager gifts

After the reserve is secure, distribute candy to 10 different villagers. A practical method is to use one piece per villager and maintain a ten-name checklist. The event requirement identifies the number of villagers, so the safe interpretation is unique recipients rather than a raw item count. If you have fewer than 10 spare pieces after preserving the meal, collect another Plaza refresh before gifting.

Step 3: Eat toward 15, 30, and 45

Sugar Rush has cumulative eating thresholds at 15, 30, and 45 sweets. The duty lists successive pumpkin rewards at those milestones. Eating candy used for the three-course meal also counts toward the eating total, but the color requirement must be satisfied first. Check the counter after each batch so you know whether you are approaching 15, 30, or 45 rather than consuming blindly.

Why the order matters

There is no benefit to eating a color that you still need for the meal and then discovering that the next Plaza refresh is not available. A reserve-first plan turns the three-color requirement into a guaranteed completion, while excess candy remains available for the villager and Sugar Rush duties.

Complete every house interaction

The six current houses

  • Mickey Mouse
  • WALL•E
  • Daisy
  • Stitch
  • Mike Wazowski
  • Jack Skellington

Each day, look for a lit Jack-o’-Lantern outside these homes. Interact with the lantern to trigger the event’s special Trick or Treat house interaction. The interaction is not the same as handing candy directly to a villager, so perform both actions when both duty types are unfinished.

How the milestone counts work

Sweet ‘n’ Scary (2026) awards milestones at one, two, and three completed house interactions. Scarily Sweet (2026) uses the larger five-, 10-, and 20-interaction milestones, with the listed gravestone, graveyard statue, and mausoleum rewards. Because six homes are named for the daily loop, completing all six whenever they are lit is the quickest way to build the 20-interaction total. If all six are available each day, four complete daily rounds provide 24 interactions, enough to pass 20; the actual reset and availability should be verified in your game if a lantern is missing.

When a house does not count

A normal visit, a conversation, or a gift outside the lantern prompt is not the event interaction described for these duties. Move close to the lit Jack-o’-Lantern and use the interaction control shown by the game. If the counter does not increase, confirm that the lantern was lit and that you completed the special prompt rather than opening a standard villager dialogue.

Use October 31 for catch-up

October 31 changes the Candy Bowl cadence from every 24 hours to every hour. Two bowls of each color can appear each hour, and each bowl still gives two candies. A complete hourly refresh is therefore 12 candies: four red, four purple, and four green.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Use the hourly schedule to recover from missed daily pickups, finish Sugar Rush, or obtain enough spare candy for the 10-villager gifting duty. Start each hour by checking the Plaza, then spend the candy according to the reserve-first order. Returning at the top of several hours is worthwhile when the only remaining blocker is candy quantity.

The five-bowl-per-color cap still matters. If you leave bowls on the ground, collecting them before the next check avoids letting the Plaza sit at its storage limit for a color. A missed hourly check does not create unlimited stock; it only allows the visible bowl count to build up to the cap.

Finish the mask and pumpkin duties in parallel

Villainy Wears Many Masks

Equip one mask before the route. Because the stated requirement is simply to wear one mask, there is no need to search for a particular design or to change masks repeatedly. Once the duty registers, you can remove it if you prefer a normal appearance; keeping it equipped while traveling is the simplest way to avoid forgetting.

Stockpiling Pumpkins

Harvest 100 pumpkins while moving through the Plaza, houses, and villager areas. Mature pumpkins count when harvested, so inspect nearby plots during every loop. If the counter is still short after the candy duties are complete, make pumpkin harvesting a separate final pass rather than delaying the time-sensitive Plaza check.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Combining the chores is especially useful for players who log in briefly: a mask can be active during the entire session, and every pumpkin picked on the way reduces the 100-harvest backlog without adding another travel route.

Troubleshoot common completion problems

The Plaza has fewer bowls than expected

Check the event date and your last collection. From October 14–30, the normal refresh is once every 24 hours, not every in-game hour. On October 31, the rate becomes hourly. Also search the whole Plaza and remember that bowls can remain until collected, subject to the five-bowl-per-color cap.

A candy gift did not finish Trick or Treat

Review your recipient list. The duty requires candy given to 10 villagers, so repeated gifts to one villager are not a reliable substitute for 10 different recipients. Give one piece to a new villager, then verify that the duty counter advances before moving on.

The three-course meal is incomplete

Confirm that you ate one red, one green, and one purple event candy. Eating three candies of the same color does not satisfy the color condition. If one color is missing, wait for another Plaza refresh instead of spending the remaining colors on Sugar Rush.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

House totals are lower than expected

Only the lit Jack-o’-Lantern interaction at the six named homes is relevant to the house duties. Check Mickey Mouse, WALL•E, Daisy, Stitch, Mike Wazowski, and Jack Skellington’s homes, and activate the lantern prompt itself. A standard conversation or an unlit home does not replace that interaction.

Sugar Rush stopped below 45

The thresholds are cumulative at 15, 30, and 45 sweets. Continue eating event candy after the earlier milestone has registered, but do so only after protecting the meal reserve and completing the 10-villager gift plan. Use the October 31 hourly bowls if you need additional candy to reach the final threshold.

One-screen completion checklist

  • Confirm the event date is between October 14 and October 31, 2026.
  • Equip one mask for Villainy Wears Many Masks.
  • Clear all visible red, purple, and green Plaza bowls.
  • Reserve one candy of each color.
  • Visit the lit lanterns at the six named homes.
  • Track 10 different villagers who receive candy.
  • Eat the reserved red, green, and purple candies for the meal duty.
  • Eat surplus candy toward 15, 30, and 45 sweets.
  • Harvest pumpkins until the total reaches 100.
  • On October 31, revisit the Plaza hourly for catch-up candy.

Following that order keeps every candy-dependent duty viable, turns each six-home visit into progress toward both house reward tracks, and lets the mask and pumpkin requirements advance during ordinary travel.
