1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsCompare the exact Huawei model and regional variant—not just its series name—against your own priorities. Look at performance evidence from comparable tests, battery endurance under a stated protocol, and the phone’s 4G/5G bands and carrier compatibility. Then check whether its software and app ecosystem fits your needs. No single Huawei phone is a universal winner: the best choice depends on the market and the specific models you are considering.
Start with the exact model and market
Huawei series names do not guarantee the same processor, battery behavior, mobile-network support, or software services across models and regions. Before comparing specifications, record each candidate’s full model number and regional variant. A review of one configuration is not enough to establish what another country’s version supports.
- Identify the precise model and regional configuration listed by the seller or manufacturer.
- Check the chipset and performance results for that model, rather than inferring speed from its family name or RAM alone.
- Confirm the network bands and carrier compatibility for the country and operator where you will use it.
- Verify current software and app availability for that device and market, especially if you rely on Google services.
How to compare Huawei phone performance
Use benchmark scores only when the devices were tested with the same benchmark version and under comparable conditions. Keep CPU and graphics results distinct: they measure different workloads. Device heat, background activity, and other testing conditions can affect results, so a score is evidence about a test—not a guarantee that every app will feel faster.
For example, UL Benchmarks lists the Huawei Pura 70 with a Kirin 9010 chipset and a 3DMark Sling Shot score of 7,793 on the page accessed in 2026. That figure is the median of submitted user results, not a controlled lab comparison against another phone. UL explains that “The battery life shown for a device is the median of all benchmark results for that model.” See UL Benchmarks’ Huawei Pura 70 results.

When you cannot find a same-version, same-condition comparison, treat chipset names and isolated scores as clues rather than a definitive ranking. Also consider whether your actual workload—such as games, photography, or everyday multitasking—matches the benchmark being cited.
How to compare battery life fairly
Battery capacity, usually given in mAh, does not by itself tell you how long a phone will last. Runtime also depends on efficiency, display settings, network use, and workload. Compare measured endurance only after checking the test protocol: refresh rate, network mode, brightness, and the activity being run. Charging speed and efficiency can matter too, but do not assume a capacity figure proves either.

CHIP’s 2026 reviews report these runtimes in an LTE test at 60 Hz:
| Model | CHIP battery duration | Test conditions |
|---|---|---|
| Huawei Pura 80 Pro | 19 hours 29 minutes | LTE, 60 Hz; CHIP, 2026 |
| Huawei Pura 80 Ultra | 18 hours 12 minutes | LTE, 60 Hz; CHIP, 2026 |
| Huawei P60 Pro | 12 hours 8 minutes | LTE, 60 Hz; CHIP, 2026 |
These are results within CHIP’s stated protocol, not promises of all-day endurance for every owner. They should not be ranked directly against results from another publisher using a different test. For instance, PhoneArena lists the Mate 80 Pro at 5,750 mAh and reports an overall estimate of 10 hours 23 minutes, browsing of 23 hours 46 minutes, video of 17 hours 37 minutes, and gaming of 8 hours 21 minutes. Those are PhoneArena’s separate test results, accessed in 2026—not directly comparable to CHIP’s LTE/60 Hz figures. See PhoneArena’s Huawei Mate 80 Pro results.

Community-submitted benchmark data needs similar care. UL warns that device heat, background activity, and screen brightness can vary among submissions; its displayed result is a median, not a controlled guarantee. DXOMARK also separates discharge behavior from capacity: “The discharge subscore rates the speed of a battery’s discharge during a test, which is independent of the battery’s capacity.” Read DXOMARK’s Huawei P50 Pro battery methodology.
Which Huawei phones have 5G—and will one work with your carrier?
There is no safe brand-wide answer. 5G support and usable LTE/5G bands can vary by exact model, regional configuration, and carrier. CHIP reports that the Pura 80 Ultra and P60 Pro models it reviewed did not have 5G connectivity; that finding applies to those reviewed models and market, not automatically to every configuration or country.

Before buying, confirm all of the following for your intended network:
- The full model number and region of the handset.
- Whether that precise configuration supports the LTE and 5G bands used by your carrier.
- Whether the carrier certifies or otherwise supports the device, including any requirements for voice calling or network access.
- Whether the phone’s supported network standards match the coverage you expect where you live, work, and travel.
A listing that says “5G” is not enough to establish compatibility with a particular carrier. If the manufacturer or carrier does not publish a matching band or certification detail for the exact configuration, treat compatibility as unconfirmed rather than assuming it will work.

Check software and app needs before deciding
CHIP notes the absence of Google services on the Huawei models it reviewed. Because software arrangements can depend on model and market, verify the current situation for the exact phone you plan to buy. Make a list of essential apps and services—such as navigation, banking, work tools, or services that require Google integration—and check whether each is available and works as you need on that device. Do not assume that a familiar app name or a workaround will provide the same functionality.
Quick Recap
A practical comparison checklist
- Write down the exact candidates. Include each full model number and regional variant.
- Compare performance evidence. Prefer the same benchmark version and conditions; separate CPU and graphics results, and note whether scores come from a lab or user submissions.
- Compare battery tests by protocol. Record the test source, date, network mode, refresh rate, and workload alongside every runtime.
- Verify connectivity with your carrier. Match the model’s LTE/5G bands and carrier support to the network you will use.
- Test software fit on paper. Confirm the current availability and functionality of the apps and services you depend on.
- Check local availability and price at purchase time. These vary by market and change over time, so a past review cannot establish today’s offer.
Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply.
