Apple’s Home app does not document a way to pick camera feeds for its iPhone Home Screen widget. To see cameras in Apple Home, use the Home tab’s Cameras section. If you want a widget that opens a chosen group of cameras, a third-party app, Home Widget for HomeKit, describes a configurable Camera Mosaic—but that is not an Apple Home widget or a live video feed displayed directly in the widget.
Can you choose cameras for Apple’s Home widget?
Apple’s current iPhone guides explain how to add and edit widgets, but they do not describe a camera picker in the Home widget. The guides document camera viewing separately, within the Home app. That means there is no documented Apple Home widget setting for selecting which HomeKit cameras appear; it does not establish that every possible iOS configuration is technically incapable of doing so. See Apple’s widget guide and Home overview.
View cameras in the Home app
- Open the Home app and select the Home tab.
- Find the Cameras section and tap a camera tile to open its live video.
- If the camera you want is not visible, swipe left in the Cameras section to see more.
Apple says up to four camera views can appear below Cameras at once. The current iPhone guide is for iOS 27 and was accessed October 4, 2026; Apple does not give a separate publication date on the page. See the camera setup guide.
Do camera favorites control the widget?
No such connection is established in Apple’s documentation. Apple says up to four cameras are marked as favorites by default and appear on the Home tab. Treat favorites and camera tiles as ways to organize or access cameras in the Home app, not as a proven control for choosing feeds in the iPhone Home widget. Camera settings are available from a camera tile’s settings.

Use a third-party widget to open selected cameras
The App Store listing for Home Widget for HomeKit describes a Camera Mosaic that can be opened from a widget and configured to include selected cameras. Its version 1.10.2 notes describe selecting and reordering cameras in configurable mosaics; the listing was accessed October 4, 2026. This is a third-party option, not an Apple Home feature. It opens a camera view from the widget; the listing does not establish that the widget itself continuously displays a live camera feed. Check the current app version and its in-app instructions before setting up the mosaic, since exact menus may change.
Choose the route that matches what you want
| What you want | Use | What to expect |
|---|---|---|
| Open a camera from Apple Home | Home app’s Cameras section | Camera tiles and live video inside the Home app; Apple documents up to four views at once, with more available by swiping. |
| Open a chosen group of cameras from a widget | Home Widget for HomeKit’s Camera Mosaic | A third-party widget-launched camera view with camera selection and reordering described in the App Store listing; not a native Apple Home widget feed. |
Adding an Apple Home widget does not add camera selection
To add an iPhone widget generally, touch and hold an empty area of the Home Screen, tap Edit, then Add Widget, choose a widget and size, and tap to add it. Some widgets can be changed using Edit Widget. These general widget steps do not provide a documented camera-selection control for Apple’s Home widget.
