Choose a screen protector that explicitly matches your exact Galaxy Ultra model—not just one labeled “Galaxy Ultra.” Samsung’s documented anti-reflecting film is made exclusively for the Galaxy S26 Ultra. It may suit owners who want Samsung’s stated glare reduction, but the available official sources do not establish that it outperforms glass or other protector types.
Will this fit my exact Galaxy Ultra?
Start with the phone’s complete model name and match it to the compatibility statement on the product listing. Samsung says its Galaxy S26 Ultra Anti-Reflecting Film, accessory model EF-US948CTEGWW, is “designed exclusively for the Galaxy S26 Ultra” and “not compatible with other devices.” Do not assume it fits an S25 Ultra, S24 Ultra or another generation.
For any other Galaxy Ultra, verify the exact model on the protector’s packaging or manufacturer listing before buying. Similar screen dimensions or a shared “Ultra” name are not proof of compatibility; cutouts, curved edges and case clearance can differ.
Should I choose Samsung’s anti-reflective film or glass?
Samsung’s S26 Ultra accessory is a film, not tempered glass. Samsung says it reduces glare and unwanted reflections, helps prevent smudges, and maintains smooth touch response and fingerprint recognition. Those are manufacturer claims for this product; the cited official sources do not independently test them or compare the film with glass, privacy protectors or other films.

Choose based on the features that matter to you, and check that the specific product is compatible with your phone:
- Glare and reflections: Look for an explicit anti-reflective claim if outdoor readability is a priority. Samsung makes this claim for its S26 Ultra film.
- Touch and fingerprint use: Check the maker’s statement for your exact model. A claim about Samsung’s S26 Ultra film does not establish performance for other products or Galaxy generations.
- Scratch or impact protection: Compare the manufacturer’s stated protection and test conditions, if provided. The sources cited here do not establish a universal film-versus-glass winner or prove a particular level of drop protection.
- Privacy and optical clarity: A privacy filter addresses a different need from glare reduction. Review the product’s stated effect on viewing angles and screen visibility rather than treating privacy and anti-reflection as interchangeable.
- Edges and cases: Check whether the listing specifies case compatibility and coverage for the exact Ultra model, especially if the protector reaches the display edges.
- Pack and replacement details: Confirm how many protectors are included and whether the package includes alignment or cleaning tools.
Does a screen protector affect the fingerprint sensor?
Samsung says its S26 Ultra anti-reflecting film maintains fingerprint recognition, alongside touch response. That is a product-specific manufacturer statement, not a general guarantee for every protector. The official sources cited here do not settle how glass, privacy protectors or third-party films affect fingerprint performance across Galaxy Ultra models.
