If the built-in option cannot capture the whole document, does not export the format you need, or lacks editing functions you rely on, an extension may be a better fit. How to save a full-page screenshot as an image or PDF
Confirm output formats in the extension’s current listing before installing. Some tools focus on image output, while others may offer PDF export or an editor. Do not assume that a feature described in a dated release note is available in every browser build or is still offered in the same way.
If the saved image is very tall, check that it opens in the application your recipient will use and that the content remains legible at a practical zoom level. If one continuous image is unwieldy, see whether the extension supports splitting the capture or PDF output. Permissions, privacy, and safe installation
Install from the browser’s official store or a link on the publisher’s official site. Verify the publisher name and read the listing’s privacy statement and permission disclosures. Page access matters because a screenshot tool must work with the page it captures; file access may matter when saving or retrieving a capture.

Why is my full-page screenshot missing part of the page?
First determine whether the missing content was present on the page when you captured it. Dynamic pages may load sections only after scrolling, and pages with nested scrolling areas may not behave like one simple document. These are troubleshooting possibilities, not established failures of every extension.
- Missing content: Let the page finish loading and check whether the section appears when you scroll manually. Try capturing again after the content is visible.
- Repeated sections: Inspect whether the page uses dynamic content or nested scrolling. Try a smaller capture or the browser’s own capture feature to see whether the result differs.
- Capture seems incomplete on a very long page: Check the extension’s documented size behavior. For GoFullPage on Firefox, the listing says unusually large captures may be split into multiple images.
