Binance Pool and its related services are scheduled to stop accepting mining connections on November 10, 2026, at 07:00 UTC. Reconfigure every miner before that cutoff; shares sent afterward will not be accepted, processed, or credited. The practical replacement choice comes down to payout variance, the fee base, minimum payout, endpoint reliability, and how much operational concentration you are willing to accept.

For a straightforward transition, compare F2Pool’s FPPS and PPLNS options, ViaBTC’s PPS+ and PPLNS methods, and other pools such as Foundry USA only after confirming their current onboarding terms. Test the new Stratum connection while your existing service still works, then keep a documented failover configuration.

What happens when Binance Pool closes?

Binance’s official closure notice sets the discontinuation of Binance Pool and related services for 2026-11-10 07:00 UTC. At that time, Binance will disconnect mining connections and disable its Stratum URLs and mining endpoints. Any shares submitted after the cutoff will not be accepted, processed, or credited.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Eligible shares submitted before the cutoff are intended to be included in the final reward calculation. Binance says pool pages will remain available for 14 days after the shutdown so users can review historical data and payout status. Treat that access as a record-retrieval window, not as continued mining service.

The safest approach is to migrate before the deadline and run the replacement endpoint in parallel long enough to verify accepted shares, worker reporting, payouts, and failover behavior.

Migration checklist: move miners without an avoidable interruption

  1. Export your current configuration. Save each ASIC’s pool URLs, ports, worker names, passwords or tokens, fallback order, power settings, and alert thresholds. Export earnings history and payout records from the old account while they are still available.
  2. Record payment and access details. Copy the Bitcoin payout address, any subaccount identifiers, API keys, notification destinations, and two-factor-authentication recovery information. Check the address character by character before entering it into a new account.
  3. Open the replacement pool account. Confirm whether the pool uses an account, subaccount, direct wallet address, or a combination. Read its current regional, identity-verification, and restricted-jurisdiction rules before sending hashrate.
  4. Choose the correct payout method. Decide between a predictable PPS-style method and a lower-fee PPLNS method only after understanding the reward base, settlement window, and variance described below.
  5. Verify connection parameters. Obtain the pool’s current Stratum hostname, port, TLS availability, worker-name syntax, and password convention from its own setup page. Do not assume that a hostname or port used by another coin or region also works for Bitcoin.
  6. Configure a primary and failover endpoint. Put the nearest reliable endpoint first and at least one geographically separate endpoint second. Keep the old configuration only as a reference; it will not be a usable fallback after the shutdown.
  7. Test before the cutoff. Point one miner, or one worker group, at the new pool while Binance remains online. Wait for accepted shares and stable hashrate reporting, then test a controlled failover by making the primary endpoint temporarily unavailable in the miner interface.
  8. Check the first settlement. Verify that the pool credits the expected worker, applies the selected method, and shows a pending balance. Confirm the payout threshold and timing before moving the rest of the fleet.
  9. Switch the remaining machines. Migrate in batches so a configuration mistake affects only part of your hashrate. Keep timestamps and worker names in a change log.
  10. Archive the final old-pool records. Download statements, worker statistics, payout IDs, and tax or accounting exports during the 14-day page-access period.

How Bitcoin pool payout methods differ

The percentage shown beside a pool is meaningful only when you know what it is charged against. A fee can apply to the block-reward component, transaction-fee component, or a broader expected-reward calculation. Compare the complete settlement rule, not a headline number.

FPPS (Full Pay Per Share)

FPPS pays for accepted shares using an expected-reward calculation. The calculation generally incorporates the block subsidy and an estimate of transaction-fee income, so a miner receives a steadier share-based payment even when the pool does not find a block during a particular period. That predictability is useful for budgeting power costs and debt service, but the fee may be higher than a PPLNS fee.

PPS and PPS+

PPS pays according to the expected value of valid shares. PPS+ separates the treatment of the block-reward and transaction-fee components, which means the published percentages must be read component by component. ViaBTC describes PPS+ as its default method and calculates it hourly using current difficulty.

PPLNS (Pay Per Last N Shares)

PPLNS ties payment to the miner’s shares in a defined recent window and to blocks found by the pool. A miner can receive a lower stated fee, but income varies with block-finding luck and the pool’s window rules. Long periods of uninterrupted mining can make the method more suitable than frequently joining and leaving, while short observation periods can produce misleading results.

Before selecting PPLNS, find the exact window definition, when the window is evaluated, what happens when a worker disconnects, and how transaction fees are handled. The relevant comparison is expected net BTC over your own hashrate and uptime, not the fee percentage by itself.

Replacement pools with documented Bitcoin terms

Pool Bitcoin payout methods Published fee details Documented payout or endpoint details
F2Pool FPPS or PPLNS FPPS: 4%; PPLNS: 2% Bitcoin endpoints listed for Asia, Europe, North America, Africa, and Latin America. Default payout threshold: 0.005 BTC, with higher thresholds selectable. F2Pool says payouts arrive within 24 hours after the configured minimum is reached.
ViaBTC PPS+ (default) or PPLNS PPS+: 4% on the block-reward component and 2% on the transaction-fee component; PPLNS: 2% PPS+ is calculated hourly using current difficulty. PPLNS uses the user’s hashrate share over the last five difficulty rounds and is paid when a block receives six confirmations.
Foundry USA FPPS Current public fee not established in the cited disclosure A SEC-filed disclosure says daily PPS earnings are calculated per subaccount. Verify current fees, thresholds, geographic access, and onboarding requirements directly before migrating.

F2Pool: choose between steadier settlement and a lower stated fee

F2Pool documents Bitcoin FPPS at 4% and PPLNS at 2%. Its Bitcoin setup includes regional endpoints across five broad areas, which can help reduce latency when one location is congested or unreachable. The documented default payout threshold is 0.005 BTC, although the account can use a higher threshold.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

F2Pool’s Bitcoin guide says a payout is made within 24 hours after the configured minimum threshold is reached. That is a post-threshold timing statement, not a promise that a small miner will reach the threshold quickly. Estimate your own accumulation rate before choosing the default.

F2Pool also describes merged-mining rewards, including Fractal Bitcoin and Hathor, when the corresponding wallet addresses are added. Treat those as optional additional balances: confirm wallet support, accounting treatment, and whether the extra configuration is worthwhile for your operation.

ViaBTC: understand the two-part PPS+ fee

ViaBTC states that PPS+ is the default method and PPLNS is the alternative. Its published table charges 4% on the block-reward component and 2% on the transaction-fee component for PPS+, while PPLNS is 2%.

ViaBTC’s PPS+ calculation is hourly and based on current difficulty. Its PPLNS calculation uses your hashrate share over the last five difficulty rounds; the block must receive six confirmations before that PPLNS payment is settled. A miner who values frequent, more predictable accounting may prefer PPS+, while a miner willing to accept block-finding variance may prefer PPLNS.

Foundry USA: verify missing commercial details

A disclosure filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission says Foundry USA Pool uses the Full-Pay-Per-Share scheme and calculates daily PPS earnings for each subaccount. That disclosure does not establish a current public fee, payout threshold, endpoint map, geographic availability, or onboarding process. Obtain those details from the pool before assigning production hashrate; do not infer them from the FPPS label alone.

Calculate the effective fee before choosing

Start with the reward components your selected method actually pays. For a PPS+ method, model the block-reward and transaction-fee portions separately:

net reward = (block-reward component × (1 − block-fee)) + (transaction-fee component × (1 − transaction-fee rate))

For an FPPS method, use the pool’s stated expected-reward base and fee. For PPLNS, include the pool’s window and your expected exposure to blocks found during that window. Do not subtract a 2% headline from every method unless the pool explicitly applies it to the same base.

Your estimate should use:

  • your miner’s expected hashrate and realistic uptime, including maintenance and rejected shares;
  • the pool’s current difficulty and settlement rules;
  • the transaction-fee assumption used by the pool or your own conservative scenario;
  • electricity and hosting costs, which determine whether payout predictability has operational value;
  • network or withdrawal charges, if the pool applies them; and
  • the time value of waiting for a threshold or confirmations.

Run at least two scenarios: a normal month and a low-luck PPLNS period. The goal is not to predict a particular block but to see whether your cash-flow needs tolerate the range.

Match the payout threshold to your hashrate

A high threshold can reduce the number of on-chain transactions, but it delays access to earned BTC. A low threshold improves cash flow when the pool permits it, but may involve more frequent withdrawals or different charges. The right threshold is the one your hashrate can reach within the period you can comfortably finance power and hosting.

For F2Pool, the documented Bitcoin default is 0.005 BTC, with higher thresholds available. F2Pool says payment occurs within 24 hours after the configured minimum is reached. That clock starts when the balance crosses the threshold; it is not a 24-hour earnings guarantee.

For ViaBTC, distinguish the method’s settlement schedule from the wallet payout schedule. PPS+ is calculated hourly, while PPLNS depends on the five-difficulty-round window and six block confirmations described in its method documentation. Confirm the account’s current minimum and payout calendar before deploying all machines.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Use a threshold review checklist:

  • Can your current hashrate reach it within your target cash-flow interval?
  • Will a temporary outage, rejected-share spike, or difficulty increase push the date out?
  • Are there withdrawal, network, or conversion charges that make very small payouts uneconomic?
  • Do you need daily liquidity, or is a less frequent payout acceptable?
  • Will a wallet or accounting system accept the expected transaction frequency?

Configure connectivity for reliability

Choose the endpoint

Prefer the documented endpoint geographically closest to the miners, but do not treat physical distance as the only criterion. A slightly farther endpoint with stable routing can outperform a nearby one that frequently resets. Record the hostname, port, encryption setting, and worker syntax exactly as supplied by the pool.

Use TLS when the pool and miner support it

TLS protects the connection from some forms of interception and helps you distinguish the intended service when certificates are validated correctly. Confirm that your ASIC firmware supports the pool’s TLS port and that enabling it does not create rejected shares or compatibility errors.

Set worker names consistently

Use a naming scheme that identifies site, rack, and machine, such as site1-rack02-asic17, if the pool permits that format. Consistent names make it easier to detect a partial migration, compare uptime, and map payouts to physical equipment. Follow the pool’s exact delimiter and password rules rather than copying a format from another service.

Build and test failover

Place at least one alternate endpoint in the miner’s secondary slot. During the test, make the primary unavailable under controlled conditions and verify that the miner reconnects, resumes accepted shares, and returns to the primary when it recovers. Record the reconnect delay and any firmware behavior that requires manual intervention.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Operational, account, and governance checks

Before moving production hashrate, review the pool’s account controls, API permissions, alerting, support channels, regional restrictions, and data-retention policy. Use read-only API keys for dashboards where possible, restrict withdrawal permissions, and enable multi-factor authentication. Confirm that payout-address changes trigger a lock or review period so a compromised account cannot redirect earnings immediately.

Consider concentration as an operational and governance risk. Sending every miner to one dominant pool can simplify accounting but leaves you dependent on one operator’s uptime, policy changes, and settlement system. Splitting hashrate across reputable pools can reduce single-pool exposure if your accounting, firmware, and staffing can support it. A split is a risk-management choice, not a guarantee of higher returns.

Symptoms after the switch and what to check

Workers show “connected” but no accepted shares

  • Confirm the algorithm and coin are Bitcoin SHA-256, not another endpoint on the same hostname.
  • Check the Stratum port, TLS setting, and worker-name syntax.
  • Compare the miner’s clock with network time; severe clock drift can break TLS.
  • Inspect rejected-share and stale-share rates, then test a second regional endpoint.

Hashrate appears lower than expected

  • Wait through the pool’s reporting interval before judging a short sample.
  • Compare local five-minute and one-hour hashrate with the pool’s longer average.
  • Look for a worker that was assigned the wrong password, port, or failover slot.
  • Check temperature, power limits, and fan alarms after changing firmware or network settings.

Balance does not reach the wallet

  • Verify that the account has crossed the configured minimum and that the payout address is correct.
  • Check whether the selected method has a confirmation requirement, such as ViaBTC’s six-confirmation condition for PPLNS settlement.
  • Review the pool’s payout status, withdrawal schedule, and any address-change lock.
  • Keep the old pool’s final statement separate; a pre-shutdown balance may be processed under its final-reward rules rather than the new pool’s schedule.

One endpoint keeps dropping

Capture disconnect times, error codes, and stale-share rates. Move that endpoint below a stable regional alternative, then contact the pool with the worker IDs and timestamps. Do not repeatedly change payout methods while diagnosing connectivity; changing two variables at once makes the cause harder to isolate.

A practical decision path

  1. Need predictable accounting? Start with FPPS or PPS+, then compare the complete fee base and settlement schedule.
  2. Can tolerate luck-related variation for a lower stated fee? Evaluate PPLNS using the pool’s exact window and your expected uptime.
  3. Is your hashrate small or cash flow constrained? Select a reachable threshold and verify the post-threshold payout timing.
  4. Do you operate across regions? Choose documented endpoints near each site and maintain a tested secondary route.
  5. Do you need enterprise controls? Verify subaccounts, API roles, audit records, support, and onboarding before production deployment; an FPPS label alone does not establish those features.
  6. Are you worried about concentration? Decide whether a controlled hashrate split is worth the additional accounting and monitoring work.

Recommended transition sequence

For most operators, the lowest-risk sequence is to open the replacement account, configure one test worker on the chosen method, confirm accepted shares and account attribution, test failover, and then migrate the fleet in batches. Keep the threshold conservative until the first successful payout, then adjust it to match your cash-flow and transaction-cost priorities. Recheck fees, thresholds, endpoint lists, and regional rules at account setup because pool policies can change.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

The essential deadline is operational rather than financial: all miners must be pointed away from Binance Pool before its Stratum services are disabled. Once the replacement pool has demonstrated stable shares, correct worker accounting, and a payout path you can reach, archive the old records and remove the retired endpoints from production configurations.
