To check Google Play purchases, open the Play Store app and go to Profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Budget & history. On the web, go to play.google.com → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Budget & Order history. For broader Google payment activity and subscriptions, check payments.google.com instead; those records are related, but they are not the same list.
Find your Google Play purchase history
Google Play order history shows app and digital-content orders. Google documents these access paths in its Review your order history guidance. Menu labels or layout can vary with app version, device, and region.

In the Play Store app
- Open the Play Store on your device.
- Tap your profile icon at the top right.
- Tap Payments & subscriptions → Budget & history.
- Review the transactions list for the order.
On the web
- Go to play.google.com and open the profile menu.
- Select Payments & subscriptions → Budget & Order history.
- Review the listed orders.
Google Play history versus Google payments activity
If an order is not in the Play Store list, that does not by itself establish that a statement charge is fraudulent. Google Play order history is for Play apps and digital content; the Google payments center provides broader payment records and subscription information.

Google notes that other Google payments and Google Pay transactions do not appear in Google Play order history. Purchase confirmation emails go to the Google Account used for the purchase, so searching the inboxes for your accounts can help identify an order. See Google’s order-history guidance.

Match a Google Play charge to your bank or card statement
Google Play charges on statements begin with GOOGLE*, followed by an app developer name, app name, or content type such as books. Compare the descriptor, transaction date, and amount with your order history before reporting it. Google’s guidance on charges you do not recognize explains the listed formats.
- Check the full statement descriptor and date, not just the word “Google.”
- Review Play order history in each Google Account you own or manage.
- Check Activity and Subscriptions & services at payments.google.com.
- Search the relevant account’s email for a Google Play purchase confirmation.
- Consider whether the entry could be a temporary authorization before filing a report.
Why a charge may be pending or missing
A pending statement entry is not always a completed purchase. Google says temporary pending charges can follow a canceled order, a duplicate authorization, or the addition of a payment method. Adding a payment method can produce a small temporary authorization. Check for a matching real order and subscription first; Google’s explanation is in its unauthorized-charges guidance.

If no order appears in one account, check your other Google Accounts and the payments center before drawing a conclusion. The Play order list does not include every Google payment or Google Pay transaction, and subscriptions may be recorded separately.

If the descriptor matches a Google Play format
If the charge begins with a listed Google Play format and remains unfamiliar after checking accounts and subscriptions, report it through Google’s Report charges you don’t recognize process. Google Play Help states: “If you find a charge in your Google Play order history, it’s from Google Play.”

Google’s current guidance says it can take action on unauthorized transactions reported within 120 days for credit cards, debit cards, or PayPal, and within 60 days for mobile-carrier billing. These are Google’s stated reporting windows, not a promise of reimbursement; applicable payment route and location can matter.
If the descriptor does not match a Google Play format
Google says a charge that does not begin with one of its listed Google Play formats did not come from Google Play. Contact the payment provider’s fraud department for the next step, as directed by Google’s charge-reporting guidance.

If someone you know made the purchase accidentally
For an accidental purchase by a friend or family member, use the refund process rather than reporting it as a purchase by an unknown person. Google’s refund policy guidance says eligibility depends on what was purchased, when and how it was paid for, and location; a refund is not guaranteed.
