To check whether Kaspersky supports your Windows installation, match two exact versions: your Windows edition and feature version, and the name and application version of your Kaspersky product. Then compare them with the current official support requirements for that specific product. A setup that opens or installs does not, by itself, confirm that the combination is supported.
1. Find your Windows edition and feature version
- Open Settings > System > About.
- Record the Windows edition, such as Home or Pro, the version number, and the system type. The version number is important: “Windows 11” alone may not identify the feature release relevant to compatibility.
2. Identify the installed Kaspersky product and version
Open the Kaspersky application and look for its About or Support information. Record the exact product name and application version. Kaspersky requirements can differ by product and release, so do not use a support page for a different Kaspersky product as confirmation.
3. Check the product-specific requirements
Go to Kaspersky Product Support and open the documentation for the product and release you have installed. Compare your recorded Windows edition and version with the listed supported operating systems and any restrictions. Follow the page’s patch instructions as well.
Kaspersky’s general Internet security product page lists Windows 10 and Windows 11 and says Windows users may need all available patches. That broad listing does not confirm support for every Kaspersky release on every Windows feature update. For example, Kaspersky’s requirements page for version 21.9 lists Windows 11 versions 21H2 and 22H2 and Windows 10 versions through 22H2. That page documents version 21.9; it is not a current compatibility matrix for all Kaspersky products.

- Check the exact Windows edition and feature version, not just the Windows family name.
- Match the installed Kaspersky product and application version to its own requirements page.
- Read support status and restrictions; successful installation alone is not proof of support.
- If the current official documentation does not explicitly cover your combination, do not infer support from an older requirements page. Ask Kaspersky support to confirm it.
Windows servicing is a separate question
Whether Microsoft still provides updates for Windows is separate from whether Kaspersky supports that Windows release. Microsoft says Windows 10 version 22H2 reached end of updates on 2025-10-14 (Microsoft’s supported versions of Windows client). That is a Windows servicing date, not a Kaspersky support date.
Microsoft’s release-health status says Windows 11 version 24H2 Home and Pro reach end of updates on 2026-10-13 (Windows 11, version 24H2 known issues and notifications). Microsoft reports that status as current on March 27, 2026. Eligible users can check Settings > Windows Update for an offered update to 25H2. Neither the lifecycle date nor an offered Windows update establishes Kaspersky compatibility; check the Kaspersky requirements separately.
