On PS5, select the game tile, press Options, then choose Manage Game Content; the add-on’s status should read Installed. Instructions for other platforms are less specific in the official sources available as of October 3, 2026.
First, identify the add-on and account
Confirm which content you expect to use: a Deluxe Edition Upgrade, the Year 1 Pass, a soundtrack or artbook, or another bonus. Then check the store account associated with the platform you are playing on. A purchase on one platform should not be assumed to grant access on another.
“Owned,” “installed,” and “available in-game” are different states. A store may show that you own an add-on even if its download has not completed, and installed content may not be selectable if it has not yet been released or surfaced in the relevant game menu.
What the official listings say about the DLC
The official Steam listing includes a Digital Deluxe Edition and a separate Deluxe Edition Upgrade. The Digital Deluxe Edition includes the full game, Year 1 Pass, original soundtrack, and digital artbook. The PS5 listing also offers the base game and a Deluxe Edition Upgrade containing the Year 1 Pass, soundtrack, and digital artbook.

The Steam listing says the Year 1 Pass adds five characters over the course of the season: Iroh, Ty Lee, Lin Beifong, Bolin, and the winner of the Year 1 Character Vote. That is a promise of season content, not confirmation that all five characters have already been released or are selectable.
The publisher lists Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam as platforms. Nintendo of America’s US Switch listing describes a digital standard edition and indicates Switch 2 compatibility. The official pages reviewed do not establish a Switch DLC product or a title-specific Xbox or Switch DLC status menu.

Check the installation status on PS5
- On the PS5 home screen, highlight Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game.
- Press the controller’s Options button.
- Select Manage Game Content.
- Find the add-on and check its status. If it is not marked Installed, install it from this menu.
This is the general PS5 procedure described in Bandai Namco’s support guidance, not a game-specific developer guide. The time it takes for installed content to appear in a game varies by title.
Check on Steam, Xbox, and Switch
Steam
Confirm that the correct Steam account owns the relevant edition or upgrade, then inspect the game’s DLC and installation state in Steam. The official sources reviewed confirm the Deluxe Edition and separate upgrade but do not document exact Steam client steps for verifying this title’s installation. If ownership and installation appear correct but the content is still missing, Steam Support lists the game’s support email as altfg-contact@thegameplaygroup.com.

Xbox Series X|S
The publisher lists Xbox Series X|S as a platform, but the official sources reviewed do not provide a title-specific Xbox DLC installation procedure. Verify ownership and installation through the Xbox account and store associated with your purchase; do not treat another platform’s menu steps as confirmed Xbox instructions.
Nintendo Switch
The Nintendo of America listing found for the Switch describes the digital standard edition. The official sources reviewed do not confirm a Switch DLC add-on for this game or provide a title-specific DLC installation workflow. Check the current listing for your region and the account used to purchase the game before concluding that an add-on is available.

If it is installed but not available in-game
- Restart the game after the download or installation finishes.
- Open the mode, character-select screen, or content menu where the add-on should appear.
- Check whether the specific content has actually been released. A season-pass description can include future content that is not yet playable.
- Confirm that you are using the platform account that bought the add-on. If the store shows ownership but the platform does not show the content installed, contact platform support or the game’s listed support channel.
These are general troubleshooting steps, not a documented promise about when or where this game displays each add-on. Bandai Namco notes that the timing of in-game availability varies by title.
