Do not rely on screen size, a similar-looking Galaxy Tab, or the broad Galaxy Tab name. Samsung says its Book Cover is “only compatible with Galaxy Tab S12+.”
Find your tablet’s exact model designation
Check the model name and model number shown in your tablet’s device information or on its packaging or label. Samsung’s Philippines product page identifies the Wi-Fi Galaxy Tab S12+ as model SM-X840; that designation is an example for that configuration, not a complete list of every regional or connectivity variant. Use the designation for your own tablet rather than assuming all S12+ versions share it.
Match the case listing to that designation
- Read the supported-model list. Look for Galaxy Tab S12+ and, where the seller provides it, your exact model designation. If the listing names a different model or generation, do not assume it fits.
- Check the product photos and description. Confirm the camera opening, buttons, ports, and any attachment points appear in the correct positions for your tablet. The listing should identify the exact model as supported; photos alone are not proof.
- Compare dimensions as a cross-check. Samsung lists the tablet at 187.8 × 289.5 × 5.3 mm. A mismatch may flag a likely problem, but matching measurements cannot verify that openings, magnets, or attachment features align.
- Verify the features you need. Check whether the particular case provides the coverage, stand positions, keyboard, S Pen storage, or sleep/wake behavior you want. Do not assume those features from the tablet name.
What Samsung’s Book Cover listing establishes
Samsung UK states that its Book Cover is compatible only with Galaxy Tab S12+. Samsung lists the cover at 190.7 × 291.1 × 10.8 mm, larger than the tablet’s 187.8 × 289.5 × 5.3 mm; that difference is expected for a protective cover and does not independently prove fit.
The Book Cover is a folio with portrait and landscape positioning and Auto Screen On/Off. It does not include a keyboard or a built-in S Pen slot. These are documented features of Samsung’s Book Cover, not guarantees about third-party cases.

Will a case for another Galaxy Tab fit?
The available Samsung compatibility information does not establish that cases for other Galaxy Tab generations fit the S12+. Treat a different generation or a listing that names only a broad Galaxy Tab family as unsupported unless the seller explicitly confirms your exact model. Similar screen size or overall dimensions alone are not enough to establish compatibility.
