The Nintendo destination in Toronto is a permanent Nintendo space inside the EB Games flagship at 267 Yonge Street, Toronto, Ontario M5B 2H1. Regular hours are 10:00 a.m.–9:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. Sunday. Because holidays, launches and retailer changes can override regular hours, check the store listing and call 416-866-8368 before travelling.
To check a product, select the 267–269 Yonge Street location in the EB Games locator, search the exact item or SKU, then phone the store to confirm that it is physically available, not reserved or preorder-only, and subject to any purchase limit. Follow Nintendo Canada’s retail-offers and news updates, plus the local EB Games page, for demos, events and limited promotions.
Where the Toronto Nintendo space is and what it includes
This is not a separate street-front Nintendo shop. It is a dedicated Nintendo store-within-a-store inside the EB Games flagship at 267 Yonge Street (the retailer may display the location as 267–269 Yonge Street), Toronto, Ontario M5B 2H1. EB Games announced it as Nintendo’s first store-within-a-store in North America.
The approximately 1,500-square-foot area opened to the public at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 17, 2026. Its design centers on Nintendo Switch 2 hardware and software, playable demo systems, Nintendo-themed displays, merchandise and photo opportunities. The word “Nintendo store” therefore describes the branded area within EB Games, while purchases, local policies and phone support are handled by the retailer.

Use the full address when planning transit or parking. If a map or search result shows only “Yonge and Dundas,” verify that it is the EB Games flagship rather than another nearby retailer.

These are regular hours, not a guarantee that the space will open on every date at those times. Holiday schedules, mall or retailer operating changes, midnight or early launches, private activities and event procedures can supersede them. The safest same-day check is to review the current EB Games store listing and call 416-866-8368. Ask whether the Nintendo area is open, whether the product counter is operating and whether an event has changed entry procedures.
A practical “open today” check
- Identify the date and your intended arrival time, especially if it is a Sunday or a public holiday.
- Open the EB Games store locator and select the Yonge Street location. Check the displayed hours and any notice about a closure or special event.
- Phone 416-866-8368 if the trip depends on a particular opening time, item or demo. Ask the staff member to confirm the current hours rather than relying on a cached map result.
- Allow time for a line or controlled entry during a launch. Being inside the building does not necessarily mean a ticketed Nintendo activity is accepting walk-ins.
How to check Nintendo Switch 2 and merchandise stock
Online availability is useful for screening, but it is not a live shelf count. Nintendo’s retail information describes products as available through participating retailers and repeatedly uses “while supplies last” language. Neither the Nintendo retail page nor the Toronto listing publishes a guaranteed unit count for this space.

- Open the EB Games product page or store locator.
- Select the location at 267–269 Yonge Street, Toronto.
- Search for the exact product, such as a Nintendo Switch 2 system, a specific Switch 2 game, an accessory or a Nintendo merchandise item.
- Read the availability label for that location. Note whether it says in stock, available for pickup, preorder, unavailable or another retailer-specific status.
- Call 416-866-8368 and give the exact product name or SKU. Ask the staff to verify that the unit is physically present and saleable.
- Before leaving, ask whether the item is reserved, held for another customer, preorder-only, part of a bundle, or restricted to one per customer.
A web badge can change between the time you search and the time you arrive. Staff may also have to complete a hold, transfer or preorder transaction before a product can be sold. Treat the telephone confirmation as a current check, not as a promise that stock will remain available indefinitely.

Questions to ask on the phone
- “Can you confirm the exact SKU or edition, not just the product family?”
- “Is it physically in this store right now and available for a new purchase?”
- “Is it reserved, awaiting pickup, preorder-only or part of a bundle?”
- “Is there a one-per-customer or other quantity limit?”
- “Can the store hold it, and if so, until what time and under what conditions?”
- “Has an event, launch queue or temporary closure changed how customers enter?”
What stock information cannot establish
Neither a participating-retailer listing nor a “check stores” label establishes a guaranteed number of units, a future restock date or a reservation. It also does not prove that every color, regional edition, bundle or accessory is present. Confirm the exact configuration you intend to buy, including system bundle contents and language or age-rating requirements for software.
Products and promotions you may see
The Toronto space is built around Switch 2 hardware and software, playable demonstrations, Nintendo displays and merchandise. Nintendo Canada’s current participating-retailer listings include the following examples:

These are examples from Nintendo Canada’s retail-offers information, not a promise that every item is on the Toronto shelf. Confirm local availability with EB Games before travelling.
Example of a time-limited offer
A current Canadian promotion offers a holographic slipcover with a preorder of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for Nintendo Switch 2 at EB Games. The offer is stated to run until November 4, 2026, while supplies last. If you are visiting for the slipcover, ask the store to confirm all three conditions: the preorder requirement, the end date and whether promotional stock remains. A promotion can end when its physical allocation is exhausted, even before the printed date.

How to find demos, events and local promotions
Separate product availability from event availability. A store can have a console in stock while a demo station is occupied, switched off or running a different title. Conversely, an event announcement may identify participating retailers without confirming that every listed session is operating at every location.
Check Nintendo Canada announcements
- Review Nintendo Canada’s Retail offers page for current product promotions, preorder incentives and participating-retailer terms.
- Review the What’s new news feed for event announcements, dates and regional instructions.
- Read the complete notice for the local time, participating retailer, age or registration rules and any “while supplies last” limitation.
- Then check the EB Games Toronto store page for the current address, hours and telephone details.
- Call the store if the announcement does not explicitly name the Yonge Street location or if you need to know whether a particular demo is running that day.
How event notices are usually specified
Nintendo event posts generally state a date, local time, participating retailer and whether a giveaway is limited by supply. One Canadian Lunar New Year announcement scheduled retail activities for February 14–15, 11:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m. local time and identified participating Ontario stores. A notice of that kind tells you the event window and eligible locations; it does not create a reservation or guarantee that merchandise will remain.
Switch 2 demo sessions
Nintendo advertises in-store Switch 2 demos at select EB Games, Walmart and Best Buy locations and directs readers to contact the local retailer for details. A demo listing is therefore a reason to ask the Toronto store about the current schedule, queue and game lineup, not proof that every Toronto session or title is running when you arrive. Ask whether the demo is continuous or scheduled, whether children need an accompanying adult and whether the station is available during a private event.

Some Nintendo experiences use advance registration rather than ordinary store entry. Nintendo’s Toronto FAQ specifies a waitlist and ticket process with no walk-up tickets.

Registration and selection process
- Create or use a Nintendo Account before registration closes.
- Submit the requested registration and monitor the account email address.
- Check spam, junk and promotions folders as well as the main inbox.
- If Nintendo selects you from the waitlist, follow the email instructions. The claim window is 36 hours from the time the email is sent.
- Complete the claim within that window and retain the confirmation or ticket details for entry.
The waitlist is first-come, first-served. Registration alone is not admission, and selection does not help if the offer is not claimed within the stated 36-hour period.
Age and family rules
- Children aged seven and older need a ticket.
- Children aged six and under may attend with a ticketed parent or guardian.
- Walk-up tickets are not available.
Bring the confirmation in the format requested by the event notice and arrive during the assigned window. If your group includes children, ensure the adult’s ticket and the child-entry rule match the confirmation before travelling.

Common problems and what to do
The locator shows stock, but the store says none is available
Ask the employee to reconcile the exact SKU and status. The online quantity may include reserved units, a preorder allocation, stock awaiting processing or a data delay. Request clarification about whether another configuration is available rather than assuming the displayed item can be sold.

Ask whether the station has a scheduled session, is being used for an event or is temporarily offline. A demo announcement covers the participating retailer and advertised activity; it does not guarantee continuous operation or a particular game lineup.

You received an event email after registering but cannot find the ticket
Search the Nintendo Account email address, including spam, junk and promotions folders. Confirm that 36 hours have not elapsed since the message was sent. If the claim window has expired, a walk-up visit is unlikely to solve the problem because the Toronto FAQ says walk-up tickets are unavailable.
A promotion is advertised online but the store has no bonus item
Check whether the offer is limited to preorders, participating retailers, a specific edition or supplies remaining. The November 4, 2026 Ocarina of Time slipcover example illustrates why the printed end date is not the same as a guarantee of inventory.
The hours differ between two websites
Use the EB Games location listing as the retailer-specific reference and call 416-866-8368 for a same-day answer. Give priority to a direct store confirmation when a holiday, launch or event is involved.
