To change the saved order of videos in a YouTube playlist, open it in YouTube Studio on a computer, choose Edit on YouTube, then drag videos into position. This is YouTube’s playlist-editing process; the available information does not confirm that the Astra Streaming Studio app edits YouTube playlist order.
Reorder videos through YouTube Studio
- Sign in to YouTube Studio on a computer.
- Choose Content from the left menu, then open the Playlists tab.
- Find the playlist you want to change, open its menu, and select Edit on YouTube.
- On the playlist page, drag a video up or down to put it in the desired position. YouTube Help describes this as dragging and dropping a video up or down to reorder it.
This workflow changes the playlist order itself. YouTube Help also says you can open a playlist directly and drag a video up or down.
Saved order versus temporary order
YouTube distinguishes editing a playlist from rearranging videos in the watch-page playlist panel. A reorder made in the watch-page panel is described as temporary, so use the playlist-editing workflow above when you want to change the playlist’s saved order.
If you cannot move a video
- The playlist contains only Shorts: YouTube Help says reordering is unavailable for playlists made up only of YouTube Shorts.
- The playlist controls are missing: Check that you opened the playlist itself for editing, rather than using the watch-page playlist panel. The documentation does not establish that this explains every missing-control case.
- The account is supervised: YouTube Studio Help notes that some playlist features may not be available for supervised accounts.
What “Astra Streaming” means here
The name is ambiguous. Google Play describes an Android app called Astra Streaming Studio as a mobile live-streaming app, but its listing does not document YouTube playlist-order controls. The steps in this guide are YouTube’s, and should not be taken as instructions for an Astra Streaming Studio feature.
