There is no source-backed universal winner: the right choice depends on the provider’s authentication and response requirements, and how you plan to store or link the image.
Build the workflow
- Confirm the lead trigger and URL field. In Zoho Flow, select the Freshsales new-lead trigger and inspect the available fields. Identify the exact field containing the public website URL; do not assume every lead has one or that it is valid.
- Choose the external screenshot API. Obtain its current endpoint and authentication details. Check whether it returns image bytes, a URL, or a job identifier, and whether its response time fits the flow’s execution constraints.
- Map the website URL into the request. Use a Deluge custom function with
invokeURLor configure an outgoing webhook. Encode and pass the URL as the provider requires. Add validation or a branch for empty or malformed values so they do not become failing requests. - Decide where the screenshot goes. The reviewed Freshsales integration documentation lists lead actions such as adding a note, but does not establish a native image-attachment action for this use case. Depending on the provider’s response, you may need separate file storage and then save a link or a note on the Freshsales lead.
- Test before enabling the flow for all leads. Try valid URLs as well as missing URLs, redirects, inaccessible sites, slow responses, and duplicate lead events. Confirm the output can be retrieved later and set an appropriate retention policy with the services you use.
India-specific account and data checks
The cited documentation does not establish India-specific hosting, data residency, or legal requirements for this workflow. Before sending lead website URLs or related data to a screenshot provider, check the current terms, processing locations, retention settings, and your organization’s applicable obligations.
