For a native dialog or other interface outside the webpage, use full-desktop capture instead. A screenshot records only what appeared at that moment; it does not prove that a price is current, complete, or comparable. Keep the store, product variant, visible price conditions, and capture time with each image.
What a screenshot can—and cannot—tell you
A screenshot preserves a visual state of a page, which can help you review a listed price or compare what was displayed at different times. It does not establish a verified price history or prove which store has the lowest comparable offer. Prices and offers may depend on the product variant, seller, location, login state, coupon, stock, or delivery charges.
For each capture, keep enough context to interpret the image later: the store and product page, exact variant, displayed price and visible offer or delivery terms, and the time captured. When comparing images, check that the products and conditions actually match.
Choose browser-page capture or full-desktop capture
Use browser automation for ordinary store pages
Browser automation can navigate pages, click webpage controls, fill forms, and interact with page content exposed through the browser’s DOM. It is generally the appropriate capture surface for a product page and its visible price details.

Use full-desktop capture for content outside the page
A print dialog, native prompt, or context menu may not be part of the webpage DOM. In that case, an OS-level action can capture the full desktop rather than just the browser page. AgentCore’s documented OS-level screenshot output is PNG. AWS describes a screenshot-and-vision workflow in which a model receives an image and returns coordinates or instructions for the next action in its post published 05 May 2026: Introducing OS Level Actions in Amazon Bedrock AgentCore Browser.
Capture and preserve a useful price screenshot
- Open the intended product page in an authorized browser session. Confirm the store, product, and intended variant rather than relying on a search result or generic listing.
- Wait for the information you need to appear. Check that the price, variant, stock, and relevant offer or delivery details have rendered. A fixed delay, a selector wait, or another browser-specific wait strategy may be appropriate, but the vendor documentation does not establish a universal wait condition for Indian store pages.
- Capture the page without removing important context. Prefer a page screenshot when the evidence is on the webpage. Capture the full desktop only if a native interface is part of what you need to preserve.
- Save the image with an interpretable name or accompanying record. Include the store, product or variant, and capture time. Keep visible qualifications such as seller, coupon, stock, or delivery context in frame where possible.
- For comparisons, match the conditions. Use the same variant where possible and record the capture time and displayed-price conditions for each store or date. Do not treat different bundles, sellers, delivery fees, coupons, or regional offers as equivalent prices.

Amazon Bedrock AgentCore Browser
AgentCore documents CDP-based browser automation for webpage interactions and a separate OS-level InvokeBrowser action for full-desktop screenshots. The documented OS-level screenshot format is PNG. This distinction matters when the target is a normal webpage versus a native browser or operating-system interface; the documentation does not establish access to any particular Indian retailer.

Limits to check before relying on a capture
The cited product documentation describes capture capabilities, not successful access to Amazon India, Flipkart, or any other particular Indian store. It does not verify login or location behavior, price accuracy, anti-automation restrictions, or which offers a particular user will see. Test the intended page in an authorized session and follow the store’s access rules; an agent should not be treated as a way to bypass access controls.
Hosted browser automation is another implementation path, but the cited AgentBay documentation does not establish comparative cost or service availability in India. Verify current terms, availability, and security controls with the vendor before choosing a hosted workflow.

The price or offer is missing
The page may still be rendering, or the information may require a variant selection, login, location, or other page interaction. Wait for the relevant content and verify the visible state before capture. If the information is not shown in that authorized session, the screenshot cannot establish it.

The image shows a dialog or menu incorrectly
Check whether the interface is a webpage element or a native dialog/context menu. DOM-based browser automation may not expose OS-rendered interfaces; use an OS-level capture workflow when the full desktop state is the evidence you need.
Two screenshots appear to show different prices
Compare the exact variant, seller, location, coupon conditions, delivery charges, stock, login state, and capture time. If those details differ or are not visible, treat the screenshots as different observations rather than a like-for-like price comparison.
The page blocks automation or fails to load
The reviewed documentation does not establish a way to bypass store controls or guarantee access. Use an authorized session, respect access restrictions, and distinguish a failed or blocked capture from a screenshot of a displayed price.

Does a screenshot prove the price was available to everyone?
