For a few pages, capture them in Chrome and save them to Drive one at a time. For a list of URLs, use Playwright to create screenshot files, then upload each file with the Google Drive API. Drive API batching does not support media uploads, so it cannot combine the screenshot files into one bulk upload. The documented steps are general; the cited sources do not establish a different India-specific process, price, quota, or performance level.

Google’s Save to Google Drive extension listing describes saving the entire image, visible image, raw HTML, MHTML, or a Google Doc. It requires you to be signed in to Chrome with the Google account you want to use; to save to a different Drive account, switch Chrome profiles. It cannot capture chrome:// pages or Chrome Web Store pages. These are listing descriptions, not a fresh hands-on test.
The third-party Chrome Web Store listings for extensions such as SNOW Screenshot Extension describe features like full-page capture, Drive folder choice, and configurable filenames. Those are vendor claims to verify, not proof of a general-purpose URL crawler. Review permissions, privacy terms, availability, and actual behavior before installing any third-party extension.
Automate screenshots and uploads with Playwright and Drive
The workflow has two separate stages: capture each reviewed URL to an image file, then create a Drive file for that image. Playwright documents page screenshots, full-page capture, returned image buffers, and element-level screenshots; it does not provide a turnkey Drive upload workflow. The example below shows the capture stage only. The Drive API steps that follow explain the separate upload stage.

1. Install Playwright and capture a URL list
Install Playwright for Node.js with npm install playwright, then install the browser binaries with npx playwright install chromium. Save the following as capture.mjs. It writes one full-page PNG per URL and a CSV-style log for successes and failures.

}Replace the sample URLs with the list you are authorized to capture. The script uses a unique index and hostname in each filename to reduce collisions; keep the source URL in your log because the filename alone may not identify a page path. For pages that keep network connections open, replace waitUntil: 'networkidle' with domcontentloaded and, if needed, add a bounded wait for a page-specific selector or delay. Review any screenshots of authenticated pages carefully and avoid exposing credentials or private information.
Playwright’s documented capture calls include page.screenshot({ path: 'screenshot.png' }) and page.screenshot({ path: 'screenshot.png', fullPage: true }). Full-page mode captures the scrollable page. You can also capture a specific element with its locator screenshot method or request an image buffer instead of writing directly to disk. See the Playwright screenshots documentation.
2. Create Drive files and upload each screenshot

Enable the Google Drive API for a Google Cloud project and authorize your script with the appropriate Drive access. Use credentials appropriate to your environment; do not put client secrets or access tokens in source code committed to a repository.

For each image, call Drive API

Choose an upload mode based on file size and connection reliability: simple media upload for files at or below 5 MB without metadata, multipart upload for files at or below 5 MB with metadata, or resumable upload for larger files or interruption-prone connections. Resumable uploads also work for small files. See Google’s upload guide.

Store each returned file ID alongside the source URL and capture status. If a capture or upload fails, retry only that item rather than rerunning a successful batch blindly.
Google’s API reference lists a maximum upload file size of 5,120 GB for files.create; that is an API method limit, not a sensible target size for screenshot files. Optimize capture dimensions and format to keep routine files manageable.
Why Drive API batch requests do not solve image uploads
Google’s performance guidance says: “Google Drive doesn’t support batch operations for media, either for upload or download, or for exporting files.” Batch requests can group up to 100 supported API calls, but media transfers are excluded. You may batch eligible metadata operations, but each screenshot media upload remains its own upload operation. See Drive API performance.
Use the lighter option for just a few pages

Open the page you want to save and use the extension’s browser action or the available context-menu option. Select the screenshot or web-content option that fits the task, then save it to Drive.

Check the resulting file in Drive and organize or share it there. For a different Google account, use the Chrome profile signed in to that account.

The screenshot is blank or incomplete: Check whether the page requires login, a consent action, or interaction before rendering. Wait for the content selector, inspect the page response status, and test the URL manually. Sites can block automation or return different content to automated browsers.

Lazy images are missing: Full-page capture is supported, but pages may load images only as they enter the viewport. Scroll through the page before capturing or wait for the relevant images/selectors to load.

Drive rejects an upload: Check API enablement, authorization and access to the target folder, file metadata, and the upload mode relative to file size. Use resumable upload when a larger transfer is interrupted.

Files overwrite or are hard to identify: Include a stable index or identifier in each filename and retain a mapping from URL to file ID. Include the extension in the Drive file name.
