Screenshot.Rocks’ documented online capture flow does not show a custom wait-time setting. To capture a page after a delay—or after it reaches a particular state—take the screenshot in a browser workflow that supports waiting, then import the image into Screenshot.Rocks for framing and export. Its online capture is designed for a public page’s first screen, not a full-page capture.

What Screenshot.Rocks’ online capture does

In the official website capture guide, the documented flow is to enter a public URL, optionally choose Mobile, capture the page, and then choose a frame and background before exporting. The guide says the URL may be entered without the https:// prefix.

The guide describes the result as the first screen—the portion visible before scrolling. Its published specifications are 1440 × 800 at 2× density for desktop, producing a 2880 × 1600 image, and 375 × 812 at 3× density for mobile, producing a 1125 × 2436 image. These are Screenshot.Rocks’ stated specifications, not independent measurements.

Does Screenshot.Rocks offer a custom wait time?

The official guide’s documented steps do not include a user-set delay, a selector-based wait, or a timing parameter. That means a custom wait setting is not documented in that flow; it does not establish that no such option exists anywhere in the service.

If the page needs time to load images or scripts, or you need a particular state such as an open menu, use a browser-side capture workflow that lets you wait for a delay or condition. Then upload the resulting screenshot to Screenshot.Rocks to use its frame, background, and export options.

Capture and export a public page in Screenshot.Rocks

  1. Open the Screenshot.Rocks editor.

  2. Under “Or capture a website,” enter the public page address. The guide says you may omit https://.

  3. Select Mobile for a phone layout, or leave it unselected for desktop.

  4. Press Capture.

  5. Choose a frame style and background, then export.

This is the documented online method when the target is publicly reachable and the first screen is what you need. If you need a custom wait, capture the image separately and import it instead.

When to capture in your own browser

Screenshot.Rocks’ guide identifies cases its online server capture cannot handle: content behind a login, local addresses such as localhost, and sites that block automated browsers. It recommends capturing the page yourself for those cases, as well as for full-page images or a particular UI state such as a filled form or open menu. Its browser extension captures the visible part of the current tab; the guide does not describe it as a full-page capture tool.

  • Custom delay or condition: use a browser capture workflow with the wait control you need, then import the image.
  • Login-only content: capture while signed in through your browser.
  • Local or staging page: capture from a browser that can reach that address.
  • Full page: choose a workflow that can capture beyond the currently visible viewport.
  • Specific interaction state: set up the page in the browser, then capture that state.
  • Automated access blocked: capture locally if the site permits your browser session.

Or skip the browser setup

ScreenshotNeo is a website screenshot API and MCP server. Its API can capture a page with a delay or other wait options, and its MCP server lets AI agents take screenshots. Cookie banners, newsletter popups, and chat widgets are removed before the shot; bot checks, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads, and cache hits are not billed.

For API options and setup, see the ScreenshotNeo documentation. Example cURL request:

curl -G "https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot" -d access_key=YOUR_API_KEY --data-urlencode url=https://stripe.com -o shot.webp

ScreenshotNeo includes 1,000 screenshots per month free with no card; paid plans start at $5 for 3,000 screenshots. Sign up for the free plan.

Screenshot.Rocks says its editor processes images in the browser and does not store them on its servers. Its website capture guide separately says the server capture returns the image to the browser without storing it.
