Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →To screenshot the part of a website currently visible in Microsoft Edge on Windows 10, press Windows logo key + Shift + S, select the area, then use Snipping Tool to edit, save, or share the capture. For the entire screen saved directly as an image, use Windows logo key + PrtScn.
Capture the visible part of a website
- Prepare the page. Open the site in Edge and position the content you want in view. Close or move anything private or unrelated that should not appear in the capture.
- Open the capture overlay. Press Windows logo key + Shift + S. The screen dims and Snipping Tool lets you select a region. Microsoft documents this shortcut for Windows 10 and Windows 11 (Snipping Tool guidance; Windows keyboard shortcuts).
- Select the website area. Drag around the content you want to capture. Check the selection before releasing so it includes the intended page area and excludes anything private.
- Edit or save the snip. Open the capture in Snipping Tool to crop or annotate it, then save or share it. The capture is also copied so you can paste it into a compatible app. See Microsoft’s screen and clipboard guidance.
Capture the whole screen to an image file
To save an image of the entire screen rather than selecting just the browser content, press Windows logo key + PrtScn. Look for the saved image in PicturesScreenshots. Keyboard behavior can vary by device; if your keyboard has no PrtScn key, Microsoft notes that Fn + Windows logo key + Space Bar may take a screenshot (Microsoft’s Windows keyboard shortcuts).
Need the whole webpage, not just what is on screen?
A region snip captures visible screen content at the time you take it; it does not turn a long, scrollable webpage into one continuous image. If you need a page-style record, use Edge’s print workflow instead: press Ctrl + P to open printing, or Ctrl + Shift + P to open the system print dialog. Microsoft documents these shortcuts in its Edge keyboard-shortcut reference. Printing produces a document-style output, not a screenshot of the page’s visible pixels.
Or skip the browser setup
If you need screenshots through an API rather than a one-off Windows capture, ScreenshotNeo can return a website screenshot with one request. Its cookie-banner, popup, and chat-widget removal runs before capture; bot checks, blank pages, and failed loads are not billed. It also has an MCP server for AI agents.

If the shortcut or capture does not work
- The overlay does not appear: Confirm you pressed the Windows logo key, Shift, and S together. If the keyboard shortcut is unavailable on your device, look for Snipping Tool in Windows and start a capture there.
- You cannot find the saved file: The Windows + PrtScn method saves to PicturesScreenshots. A Windows + Shift + S snip instead opens in Snipping Tool and is copied for pasting; save it from the app if you need a file.
- The bottom of the page is missing: A normal snip only records the screen area visible when captured. Scroll and capture additional sections, or use Edge’s print workflow for a document-style record.
- You do not have a PrtScn key: Try Fn + Windows logo key + Space Bar; Microsoft notes this combination may work, but keyboard behavior varies.
- The image includes unrelated or private content: Reposition or close other windows before capturing, then review the snip before sharing it.
