Set the website’s page zoom to 125% in your browser, then capture the visible area or the full page with a browser screenshot tool. Page zoom changes how large webpage content appears; it does not guarantee that the saved image will have 1.25 times as many pixels. Check the saved image to confirm it looks the way you need.
Set the page zoom to 125%
Chrome on desktop
- Open the website you want to capture.
- Open Chrome’s More menu and use the Zoom controls until the displayed value is 125%. Alternatively, press Ctrl and + on Windows or Linux, or Command and + on Mac, until the zoom display reads 125%.
- To make 125% the default page zoom, go to Settings > Appearance > Page zoom. Chrome’s page zoom changes the size of everything on a page; changing font size is a separate setting. See Chrome’s desktop zoom guidance.
Firefox
- Open the target page and use Firefox’s zoom controls until the displayed page zoom reads 125%.
- Keep that page open for the screenshot steps below.
Browser page zoom is different from operating-system display scaling. If the request is specifically for a page at 125% zoom, confirm the browser’s page-zoom indicator rather than changing the computer’s display scale.
Choose what part of the page to capture

Capture in Firefox
- With the page at 125%, right-click an empty area of the page and select Take Screenshot. You can also press Ctrl+Shift+S on Windows or Linux, or Command+Shift+S on Mac.
- Choose Save visible to capture the current viewport or Save full page to include content beyond it.
- Save the image or copy it to the clipboard. Mozilla’s Firefox screenshot instructions cover these choices.
Firefox DevTools alternatives
For a full-page DevTools capture, enable Take a screenshot of the entire page in DevTools Settings under Available Toolbox Buttons, then use the screenshot icon. Firefox’s Web Console also provides a :screenshot helper with a --fullpage option. Its separate --dpr option controls device-pixel ratio; it is not the browser’s page-zoom setting. Capture in Chrome with DevTools
Chrome DevTools provides screenshot workflows for a full page, an area, a page node, or a mobile view. Choose the scope that matches the result you need, and leave the page zoom at 125% before capturing. Google’s DevTools screenshot overview describes these routes.

Check the saved image
Do not assume 125% page zoom produces a fixed output-pixel multiplier. Browser-native tools, DevTools, and operating-system screenshot utilities can differ in capture scope and rendering behavior. Open the saved image and verify both its appearance and dimensions; page zoom and device-pixel ratio are separate controls.

- The page is not at 125%: Check the browser’s displayed page-zoom value. Operating-system display scaling and text-only size settings are different controls.
- The screenshot shows only part of the page: You likely captured the visible viewport. Choose the full-page option in Firefox or use a DevTools full-page capture where available.
- The saved image dimensions are not 1.25 times larger: Page zoom does not guarantee a matching output-pixel multiplier. Inspect the image and, if needed, use a tool with a separate device-pixel-ratio setting.
- The page looks different in a full-page capture: Capture tools can differ in how they render beyond-viewport content. Compare the image with the page at 125% and use the capture route that fits the intended scope.
