You do not add authentication cookies manually in Screenshot.rocks. Instead, sign in to the page in your browser, then use the Screenshot.rocks extension to capture the visible part of that already-authenticated tab. For a full-page image, use your browser’s full-page capture feature and import the image into Screenshot.rocks.
Capture a page behind a login with the Screenshot.rocks extension
-
Open the protected page in a browser where you are authorized to access it, and sign in normally.
-
Arrange the page and browser viewport so the portion you want appears on screen. The extension captures the visible part of the active tab, not the entire scrolling page.
-
Click the Screenshot.rocks extension. Its guide says the capture opens in the editor in a new tab.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteSpecial offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy. -
In the editor, add a browser or mobile frame, choose a background, and apply any markup you need. Export the finished image.
Screenshot.rocks describes its editor as a way to frame, style, mark up, and export screenshots. The documented extension workflow uses your signed-in browser tab; its official pages do not describe a field for pasting authentication-cookie values.

For a full-page capture, import a browser screenshot
If the mockup needs content below the visible viewport, first take a full-page screenshot using your browser’s full-page capture feature. Then import or drop that image into the Screenshot.rocks editor and style it there. The extension’s documented capture is limited to the visible part of the active tab.
Keep the capture and login session private
-
Capture only pages and information you are authorized to access. A screenshot can expose account details or customer data even when the original page is protected by a login.
Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy. -
Screenshot.rocks says images are processed in the browser and are not stored on its servers. Its extension guide also says the captured image is sent to Screenshot.rocks to open in the editor and is not stored.
-
The Chrome and Edge extension guide says the extensions request only the
activeTabpermission and can see a tab only when you click the extension button.
Why cookie injection is a different workflow
Some screenshot APIs document cookie inputs for captures made in an API-controlled browser. That is separate from Screenshot.rocks’ documented extension workflow, which captures an already-open tab in your browser. Do not paste session-cookie values into Screenshot.rocks unless its current official feature documentation specifically confirms that capability.

For an API-based capture, ScreenshotNeo accepts a URL in one GET request and can return an image or PDF. For example, this cURL request captures Stripe as WebP:

curl -G "https://api.screenshotneo.com/v1/shot" -d access_key=YOUR_API_KEY --data-urlencode url=https://stripe.com -o shot.webp
See the ScreenshotNeo API documentation for request options. Cookie banners, popups, and chat widgets are removed before the shot; bot checks, blank pages, and failed loads are never billed. An MCP server lets AI agents take screenshots. The Free plan includes 1,000 screenshots a month with no card, and paid plans start at $5 for 3,000.
