You can cancel Apple One without automatically canceling a separately billed iCloud+ plan or other subscriptions. On an iPhone or iPad, go to Settings > your name > Subscriptions, choose Apple One, then cancel it. Before confirming, check which Apple Account provides your iCloud storage, whether storage is shared through Family Sharing, and whether the plan you keep has enough space.
Cancel Apple One
- On your iPhone or iPad, open Settings.
- Tap your name, then tap Subscriptions.
- Select Apple One and follow the prompts to cancel. Apple also documents cancellation on the web and other devices in its subscription cancellation guide.
Apple One and a separately billed iCloud+ plan are managed independently. Canceling Apple One does not mean you should also cancel iCloud+; keep the separate plan if you still need its capacity or features.
If Apple One is not listed
Search your email for an Apple subscription receipt and check which Apple Account it names. If you cannot find an Apple receipt, check your card or bank statement to identify the billing company. If a family member pays for the subscription, that person may need to cancel it.
Check which account and plan will provide your storage
Before changing either subscription, identify the Apple Account used for iCloud and the account used for media purchases and subscriptions. If those are different accounts, Apple One storage may be associated with the account used for media purchases and subscriptions. Apple explains this arrangement in its guidance for using different Apple Accounts with Apple One and iCloud.

Compare your current iCloud storage use with the capacity that will remain after Apple One ends. Apple’s current support guidance describes a maximum combined total of 14 TB for Apple One plus additional iCloud+ storage, but that reference does not guarantee that every configuration is offered to every account or region. Apple lists 5 GB as the free iCloud plan.
Keep or cancel separate iCloud+ independently
If you pay separately for iCloud+ and want to stop that charge, change or cancel that plan separately from Apple One. Apple says the change takes effect after the current subscription billing period ends. Follow Apple’s iCloud+ downgrade or cancellation instructions for your software version:

- iOS 18.4 or later: Apple lists Settings > your name > Subscriptions as the route to iCloud+.
- Earlier iOS versions: Use iCloud storage management in Settings, as described in Apple’s instructions.
If your storage use exceeds the capacity of the plan that remains, Apple warns that iCloud will stop syncing or updating information and backups will not complete until you increase capacity or remove enough data. Check your storage use before the change takes effect.
Understand what happens to shared family storage
If your Apple One subscription is a Family or Premier plan, check whether you or another family member relies on its shared storage. Apple says family members can use shared Apple One storage or keep their own iCloud+ plan. Shared storage is a common capacity pool; each person’s photos and documents remain private in their own account. Check which services you still want
Canceling Apple One ends the bundled services associated with that subscription according to its status and billing period. Review the subscriptions tied to your Apple Account and keep any services you want to continue separately. Do not assume that canceling the bundle cancels—or preserves—every service in the same way; check each service’s subscription listing and billing details.
If you also downgrade iCloud+ to free storage, Apple lists Hide My Email, Private Relay, Apple Invites, and HomeKit Secure Video support among the features that are no longer available. Feature availability varies by country or region.
