To cancel Apple Arcade, open Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions on iPhone, choose Apple Arcade or Apple One, and follow the prompts. But do not assume that you will keep playing until the end of your billing period: Apple says canceled subscribers cannot play Arcade games, even downloaded ones, and its Arcade guidance does not clearly confirm when access ends. Check the expiration or renewal date shown in your subscription details.
Cancel Apple Arcade on iPhone or Mac
On iPhone
- Open Settings and tap your name.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Select Apple Arcade or Apple One, then follow the onscreen cancellation instructions. Apple’s guide warns that canceled subscribers cannot play Arcade games, including games downloaded to the device. Apple’s iPhone subscription guide.
On Mac
- Open the App Store.
- Open the account and subscriptions management area.
- Choose Apple Arcade or Apple One and follow the cancellation prompts. Apple’s Mac guidance says to cancel at least one day before the renewal date. Apple’s Mac subscription guide.
Will Apple Arcade stay available until the billing period ends?
Apple’s Arcade-specific guidance does not clearly state that access continues through the remainder of an ordinary billing period after cancellation. It says that canceled subscribers cannot play Arcade games, even if they downloaded them. Because that warning does not establish the exact cutoff time, check the expiration or renewal date displayed in your subscription details rather than relying on a general promise that access will last until the paid-through date.
Apple has a separate rule for select monthly third-party subscriptions with 12-month commitments: service access may continue for the remaining commitment after cancellation. That rule is not confirmation of how ordinary Apple Arcade subscriptions work. Apple’s commitment-subscription guidance.
If Apple Arcade is missing from Subscriptions
- Check the Apple receipt to see which Apple Account was charged. The subscription may belong to a family member’s account rather than yours.
- If another provider bills you, cancellation must be handled by that provider.
- If the subscription page has no Cancel button or shows an expiration message, Apple says the subscription is already canceled. Apple’s guidance for finding and canceling subscriptions.
What happens if you subscribe again?
Apple says you can resubscribe to play Apple Arcade games again and regain access to gameplay data. It cautions that some game data may not be supported if you wait too long, so the availability of saved data is not guaranteed indefinitely. Apple’s Apple Arcade guidance.
