To attend a VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) event, first confirm that the stage has a live audience, then buy only through the seller named in Riot Games’ official event announcement. Ticket rules are event-specific: Masters London used Ticketmaster, Champions Shanghai used MAISEAT for international buyers and Damai for mainland-China Mastercard buyers, and Masters Santiago used PuntoTicket.
Enter the attendee’s legal name and identification details exactly as they appear on the passport or government ID. For Champions Shanghai, tickets were real-name, non-transferable and non-resellable; international attendees had to present the same physical passport used at purchase and pass identity and facial-recognition checks.
Start by checking whether the VCT stage admits spectators
Not every VCT match is an in-person event. Riot may run early or regular-season matches in a broadcast studio with no public audience, while playoff and finals stages move to an arena and sell tickets. The VCT EMEA Stage 2 notice, for example, stated that studio matches had no live audience, while arena stages in Berlin and Barcelona offered ticketing.
Do not assume that a tournament name means every match is open to the public. Open the current event announcement on the official VALORANT Esports site and look for a venue, ticket-sale schedule and named ticket seller. If the notice does not describe public ticketing, treat the stage as a broadcast-only event until Riot confirms otherwise.

What to verify before planning a trip
- The exact stage: group, bracket, playoff, semifinal or final.
- Whether Riot explicitly lists spectators or ticket sales.
- The host city, venue and event dates.
- The local time zone used for the sale.
- The authorized seller and any regional purchase route.
- Identification, age, payment-card and entry requirements.
Save the announcement as a reference, but check the seller’s live inventory and the venue’s final entry rules immediately before traveling. Dates, prices, inventory and policies can change for later events.
Use the event’s named official ticket seller
VCT has no single global ticket store. Riot designates a seller for each event and sometimes provides different routes by region. Buying from an unlisted resale page can leave you with an invalid ticket, an identity mismatch or no practical way to recover your money.

| VALORANT Champions 2026 Shanghai | Jing’an Sports Center for group and bracket stages; Mercedes-Benz Arena in Pudong for Finals Weekend | MAISEAT for international buyers; Damai for mainland-China Mastercard buyers | Real-name, non-transferable and non-resellable tickets; passport and facial-recognition checks |

These are examples from Riot’s 2025–2026 announcements, not a permanent VCT-wide policy. A future event can use a different seller, currency, venue or identity process. Follow the seller named in that event’s announcement rather than relying on a previous tournament.

Masters London: one global seller in the announcement
Riot’s Masters London notice placed all stages at Copper Box Arena from June 6 through June 21, 2026, and named Ticketmaster as the global seller. The announced general-sale opening was March 27, 2026, at 10:00 AM GMT. Use the local event page to confirm whether the displayed time has been converted for your account or browser.
Masters Santiago: Chilean seller and an international-ID rule
Masters Santiago ran at Espacio Riesco in Huechuraba, Chile, from February 28 through March 15, 2026. Riot named PuntoTicket and stated that buyers outside Chile needed a passport or government ID. General sale was announced for December 10, 2025, at 12:00 CLST, which was 7:00 AM Pacific Time.
Those dates are historical examples tied to the 2026 announcements. For a later Masters or Champions event, verify the new sale date, local time zone and seller before booking flights or accommodation.

- Choose the actual attendee. Decide whose name will be on each ticket. Do not enter a nickname, shortened name or a different traveler’s details.
- Check the travel document. Confirm that the passport or government ID will be valid for the event and that the attendee can carry the original document to the venue.
- Copy the legal details exactly. Match spelling, order of names, date of birth and document number wherever the seller requests them. Use the same document for purchase and entry.
- Create and verify the ticket-account login. Confirm email or phone access, complete any regional verification and save the login credentials securely.
- Prepare payment. If a Mastercard priority window is offered, check that your card meets the stated eligibility requirement. Keep a second permitted payment method available for general sale if the seller allows one.
- Check the seller’s delivery method. Record whether the ticket is an app pass, a mobile barcode, a downloadable document or an in-person collection. Do not assume a screenshot will work.
Take a screenshot or print the order confirmation for your records, but regard it as proof of purchase rather than a substitute for the required ID or the seller’s valid ticket display.

- Open Riot’s current event announcement. Confirm the stage, venue, dates and audience status. Use the ticket link or seller name in that announcement.
- Open the authorized seller’s event page. Check that the city, venue and date match Riot’s notice before entering payment information.
- Select the correct session. Tournament events may have separate sessions for weekdays, weekends, semifinals and finals. Choose every date you genuinely plan to attend.
- Review the seat tier and bundle. Read the currency, fees, quantity limits, age restrictions and refund terms before pressing the final purchase button.
- Enter attendee information. For real-name events, enter the attendee’s passport or government-ID information exactly as it appears on the document.
- Complete any priority-sale condition. During a Mastercard priority window, use the eligible card and follow the seller’s verification flow. If you do not qualify, wait for general sale rather than attempting to bypass the restriction.
- Pay and wait for confirmation. Do not refresh repeatedly after a payment submission unless the seller instructs you to; duplicate authorizations can occur. Confirm that the order status is successful, not merely pending.
- Save every record. Keep the confirmation number, attendee details, ticket delivery instructions and the seller’s customer-support contact.
Understand Shanghai’s strict real-name entry rules
Champions Shanghai used one of the most restrictive entry processes in the published examples. Tickets were real-name, non-transferable and non-resellable. International attendees had to use a valid passport when purchasing and bring the same physical passport to the venue. The registered information had to match the passport, and entry required identity verification and facial recognition.
“International attendees must use a valid passport when purchasing their ticket and must bring the same physical passport to the venue.”
That rule changes how you should handle a group booking. Each attendee needs the document associated with that person’s ticket. A friend cannot simply take your Shanghai ticket, and a resale listing cannot repair a mismatch between the named attendee and the person at the gate. If a passport is lost, renewed or replaced after purchase, contact the named seller and Riot’s event support as soon as possible; do not assume the old and new document numbers will be accepted.
Plan travel around the venue, not only the match
Use the venue and city in the official announcement to plan transport, accommodation and arrival time. Shanghai’s early stages and Finals Weekend were in different parts of the city: Jing’an Sports Center hosted group and bracket stages, while Mercedes-Benz Arena in Pudong hosted Finals Weekend. A hotel convenient for one venue may be inconvenient for the other.

For London, Copper Box Arena hosted Masters London across June 6–21, 2026. For Santiago, Espacio Riesco is in Huechuraba, outside central Santiago. Allow extra time for local transport, security queues, document checks and any bag inspection. A digital ticket that loads at home may fail when mobile networks are congested, so download the seller’s official pass or prepare its permitted offline mode before leaving.
Documents to carry
- The original passport or government ID used during purchase, as required by the event.
- The valid ticket in the seller’s supported format.
- Order confirmation and customer-support details.
- Travel documents needed to enter the host country, where applicable.
- A payment card or other identification only if the seller or venue says it is required.
Do not rely on a photocopy for a rule that specifies the original physical passport. Keep the document secure but accessible for the entry checkpoint.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Read venue and show-condition rules before packing
Riot’s venue notices warn that live esports shows can include strobe or flashing effects and areas with limited visibility. Notices may also regulate filming, audience conduct and dangerous or disruptive objects. Read the event-specific rules because a bag policy at one arena may not match another.
The Masters London notice listed examples of items that could be refused, including:
- Fireworks, smoke canisters and laser pointers.
- Sharp objects, bottles and cans.
- Drones and other flying devices.
- Whistles and air horns.
- Large banners and banner poles.
- Recording devices.
- Wheeled devices.
That list is a London example, not a guarantee that every venue uses identical wording. Pack lightly, leave prohibited items at your accommodation and check whether accessibility equipment, medication, cameras or signs require advance approval. Follow staff instructions during security screening and the show; conduct rules can be enforced even when an item is not named in a short summary.

What to do if something goes wrong
The sale page is unavailable
First verify the local sale time and time zone in Riot’s announcement. Use the seller’s official event page, not a search result or social-media resale link. If the page is still unavailable at the announced opening, save a screen recording or screenshot showing the error, avoid repeated duplicate payments and use the seller’s support channel.
Your payment succeeded but no ticket appeared
Check the order history and email receipt before attempting another purchase. A pending card authorization is not proof that a ticket was issued. If the seller shows no completed order, contact its support team with the transaction time and confirmation details; never post passport or full card numbers publicly.
The attendee information is wrong
For a real-name event, treat a spelling or document-number error as an entry risk. Use the seller’s correction process before the event deadline. Do not transfer the ticket informally, especially for Shanghai, where tickets were explicitly non-transferable and non-resellable.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →The passport or ID changes after purchase
Contact the seller and event support immediately and ask whether a documented update is permitted. Bring the document specified by the final written instruction. For Shanghai, the published rule required the same physical passport used at purchase, so a replacement document could require an approved correction rather than a casual explanation at the gate.
You arrive with a prohibited item
Do not hide it or argue with security. Return it to your hotel, vehicle or another permitted storage location if possible. Venues may refuse entry to people carrying dangerous or disruptive objects, and confiscation or disposal policies vary.
A practical decision framework for choosing among events
When several VCT events are possible, compare them in this order:
- Audience status: eliminate studio-only stages.
- Identity burden: determine whether a passport, government ID, real-name registration or facial recognition is required.
- Seller and sale timing: convert the announced local time to your own calendar and create the required account early.
- Travel feasibility: compare city, venue location, visa requirements, transport and the number of sessions you can attend.
- Total ticket exposure: compare the published tier or bundle in its original currency, then add seller fees and travel costs.
- Venue conditions: check lighting warnings, filming rules, bag restrictions and prohibited items.
This order prevents a common mistake: choosing a city first and discovering later that the desired stage has no public audience or that the ticket cannot be used by the traveler who bought it.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFinal pre-departure checklist
- Confirm the event and stage still have public ticketing.
- Recheck the venue, match date and local start time.
- Verify that the ticket is in the correct attendee’s legal name.
- Pack the original passport or government ID used at purchase.
- Download the official ticket or app pass and save the confirmation number.
- Review the latest prohibited-item, filming, lighting and conduct rules.
- Plan arrival time for transport, queues, security and identity checks.
- Keep seller and event-support contacts available offline.
- Do not buy a Shanghai resale ticket or assume a transfer will work.
Riot’s 2025–2026 announcements show why VCT attendance must be handled event by event: sellers, currencies, sale windows, venues and identity checks differ. Recheck the current announcement and ticket inventory immediately before paying or booking non-refundable travel.
