The practical post-launch route is resale. Search marketplaces for the exact IHOP Xbox promotion and Halo design, then verify the artwork, branding, condition, packaging, seller history and total delivered cost before paying. Useful searches include IHOP Xbox Halo collectible glass, Halo Master Chief IHOP glass and Xbox IHOP collector glass.
Xbox announced these as limited-edition glasses from the IHOP Stack Market, not as a permanently stocked retail product. The promotion featured artwork for Halo Infinite, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Sea of Thieves and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. After the launch, individual glasses and sets are most likely to appear through resale listings. The Xbox Gear Shop is useful for identification, but its Halo collection currently displays “THE XBOX GEAR SHOP WILL BE BACK SOON,” so do not treat catalog pages as proof that a particular glass is orderable.
What the Xbox and Halo collectible glass actually is
The item most shoppers call the “Halo IHOP cup” is a promotional collectible glass from the IHOP Stack Market. Xbox announced the promotion on November 13, 2024. The designs used original artwork by Matt Taylor and represented four Microsoft game properties:

- Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.
- Sea of Thieves.
- Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.
Listings may call the item a cup, tumbler or glass. Those terms can describe the same promotion, but a listing that merely says “Xbox cup” is not specific enough to identify the Halo release. Look for the IHOP connection, the Halo Infinite artwork and Xbox branding together.

The original distribution was tied to a time-limited restaurant promotion. That means a post-launch buyer should expect changing marketplace inventory, occasional unopened stock and incomplete sets rather than a guaranteed purchase at an IHOP counter. The fact that a seller has a glass does not establish that it came from the promotion; provenance and photographs still matter.
Where to look after the launch
Resale marketplaces
Resale marketplaces are the main practical source after the restaurant promotion has ended. Documented listings include single Halo or Master Chief glasses, complete four-design sets and individual glasses from the other Xbox properties. Search results can mix the designs, so inspect each listing rather than assuming a page is selling the Halo version.
Use several listings to establish a reasonable comparison. An asking price is only what one seller hopes to receive; it is not a reliable average resale value. Compare the item price, shipping, taxes, import charges, delivery time and return terms as one total purchase decision.

The Xbox Gear Shop has carried Xbox and Halo drinkware and can help you confirm product naming, franchise artwork and the general appearance of official merchandise. Its Halo collection page currently reports that the shop will be back soon. Stock, checkout availability and regional delivery therefore need to be checked at the moment you buy.
A catalog page is not evidence that the IHOP promotional glass is currently available. For example, the 2024 catalog listed an Xbox Cherub Mug at £11.99; that is a different product and should not be used as a price guide for the limited-edition IHOP glass.
Local and international options
Local marketplace listings can reduce shipping distance and breakage risk. International listings may provide more choice, especially for complete sets, but calculate destination taxes, import charges and the cost of replacing a damaged glass before comparing them with domestic listings.

Search terms that find the right design
Start with the exact promotion name, then add a design or condition term. Run each search separately because sellers use inconsistent titles.

Use the words in the listing title as a starting point, not as authentication. A seller can describe an unrelated Xbox drinkware item with the word “Halo,” and a genuine seller may omit “IHOP” entirely. Photographs and a consistent description carry more weight than keyword density.
How to verify that a listing is the Halo IHOP glass
Match the promotion and artwork
Compare the listing photographs with the official Xbox description of the Stack Market release. The Halo version should be recognizably tied to Halo Infinite and should show Xbox and IHOP-related branding consistent with the promotion. If the image only shows a generic green Xbox cup, ask the seller for additional photographs before buying.
Check that the seller is not combining photographs from several designs. A complete set should contain the four advertised properties, while a single-item listing should clearly identify which design is included. If the seller says “assorted” or “one of four” without specifying the item, ask for the exact glass you will receive.
Request evidence before committing
- Ask for clear, current photographs of the front, back, base, rim and any printed marks.
- Request photographs of the original box, label and promotional insert if the seller says packaging is included.
- Ask whether the photographed item is the exact one being shipped, rather than a stock image.
- Have the seller confirm in writing that it is the IHOP Stack Market Halo Infinite design.
- Ask directly about chips, cracks, stains, print scratches, clouding and storage odor.
Keep screenshots of the listing, photographs, stated condition and seller messages until the delivery has been inspected. That record is useful if the item differs from the description.
Compare listings on the factors that affect value
When two or more listings are available, put the differences in a simple comparison rather than choosing the lowest headline price.

For a set, compare the complete-set cost with the combined cost of buying only the Halo glass or buying individual designs. Do not assume a set is a bargain: missing packaging, a damaged non-Halo glass or unusually high shipping can erase the benefit.
A purchase workflow that minimizes mistakes
- Define the target. Decide whether you want only the Halo Infinite/Master Chief glass, all four Xbox designs or an unopened collectible with packaging.
- Run exact-name searches. Start with the IHOP, Xbox and Halo terms, then add “new in box,” “unopened,” “Master Chief” or “Matt Taylor” as needed.
- Filter and read the full listing. Confirm quantity, design, condition, location, shipping charge and return policy. Do not rely on the title alone.
- Compare at least several listings. Record total delivered cost and the differences in packaging, seller history and visible condition.
- Ask targeted questions. Request the photographs and defect information listed above. Avoid paying until the seller answers material questions.
- Save the evidence. Capture the listing and messages, including the promised condition and exact design.
- Inspect immediately on arrival. Photograph the unopened parcel if damage is suspected, then check the glass against the listing before confirming that the transaction is complete.
- Report discrepancies promptly. If the item is a different design, cracked, chipped or missing promised packaging, use the marketplace’s documented return or dispute process within its deadline.
Condition, packaging and shipping checks
New or unopened is not the same as perfect
“New,” “used,” “unopened” and “missing packaging” are separate condition descriptions. An unopened box can still have storage damage, while an opened glass may be pristine. Ask for photographs of the actual item and packaging, and treat vague language such as “excellent” without images as incomplete information.
Glassware needs a delivery plan
Confirm that the seller will package the glass so it cannot move freely inside the parcel. The available data does not establish a standard package method, so ask what protection is included rather than assuming a marketplace mailer is sufficient. International buyers should include breakage risk in the cost comparison and understand who handles a damage claim.
Inspect the printed surface
Look for print scratches, missing areas, stains and discoloration under good light. Compare the physical artwork with the listing photographs and the official Xbox description. A design that is merely “Xbox themed” is not necessarily one of the four Stack Market glasses.
What can and cannot be said about price
No reliable production volume, sell-through figure or average resale price has been established for these Xbox/Halo glasses. One seller’s asking price is not a market statistic, and a set with a high price may reflect rarity, packaging or optimistic pricing rather than a completed sale.
Use live listings as transaction-specific evidence. Note the date, condition, completeness, location, shipping and return terms for each candidate. A lower item price is not automatically better if it is used, lacks packaging, has uncertain photographs or carries high international charges.

The £11.99 Xbox Cherub Mug price in the 2024 Xbox Gear Shop catalog is an example of a different official drinkware item, not a benchmark for the IHOP promotion. Keep those products separate when deciding what a seller’s price means.

Use the official shop as an identification reference: compare franchise names, product wording and the look of Xbox or Halo drinkware. Then verify whether checkout actually works for your region. The Halo landing page currently says THE XBOX GEAR SHOP WILL BE BACK SOON
, which means a page that appears in search results may not represent orderable inventory.
If the storefront reopens, check the product title, stock status, shipping destination, return terms and whether the item is the IHOP Stack Market glass or a different Halo drinkware product. Do not infer that a catalog entry, cached page or general Halo collection means the limited promotion has been restocked.

McDonald’s announced a separate Collector’s Edition cup campaign on August 7, 2024, with availability beginning August 13. Its announcement said availability varied by market. Those cups are not evidence that an Xbox/Halo IHOP glass is genuine, even if a resale listing uses similar words such as “collector cup” or “limited edition.”
There is also a later McDonald’s UK and Ireland announcement for a limited-time Side Missions menu inspired by Halo and other Microsoft franchises. That menu began August 25, 2026 and described food and in-game rewards; it did not document a collectible cup. A listing that references the 2026 menu therefore does not establish that it contains the 2024 IHOP glass.
McDonald’s Global Chief Marketing Officer and Head of New Business Ventures Morgan Flatley described the appeal of collectibles this way: There’s an undeniable thrill when you snag that one elusive McDonald’s collectible or the final piece to complete your collection.
The statement explains collector demand, but it is not authentication for either campaign.

Common problems and the appropriate response
The search returns unrelated Xbox drinkware
Narrow the query with IHOP, Stack Market, Halo Infinite or Master Chief. Read the description for the four promotion designs and request photographs if the title remains vague.
The seller claims a “complete set” but does not name the designs
Ask the seller to list all four properties and photograph each glass. “Complete” can mean a seller’s personal bundle rather than the four-design Stack Market collection.
The price looks unusually low
Check whether the listing is for one glass, a damaged item, a deposit, a stock photograph or a different Xbox product. Confirm shipping and return terms before treating the price as a bargain.

The item arrives damaged
Photograph the parcel and glass, preserve the packaging, compare the damage with the listing and contact the seller through the marketplace’s formal process before the applicable deadline.
The official shop page is unavailable
Do not wait for a speculative restock or pay a reseller solely because a search result shows an old catalog page. Continue with verified marketplace listings and recheck the storefront only when it is accepting orders for your region.
