Vixen 357 is listed by Nintendo as a digital Nintendo Switch game from Ratalaika Games. You can purchase it through Nintendo eShop on a Switch or Switch 2, or through Nintendo.com where the title is offered for your region. The listing supports TV, tabletop and handheld play, and marks the game as compatible with Nintendo Switch 2. There is no cited physical-cartridge listing, so plan on downloading the game.

Where to buy Vixen 357

The official purchase route is Nintendo eShop. On a Switch or Switch 2, open the eShop and search for Vixen 357. Nintendo also says that most games offered through the eShop can be purchased online through Nintendo.com. Whichever route you use, the edition described by Nintendo is digital rather than a boxed game.

Purchase route What you do What to expect
Nintendo eShop on Switch or Switch 2 Search for the title from the console’s eShop, review the regional listing and complete checkout. The game downloads to the console after purchase. The exact price and tax are determined by your eShop region.
Nintendo.com Sign in, locate the Nintendo eShop listing for your region and follow the purchase controls shown there. Nintendo says most eShop games can also be bought online. Availability and price still depend on the account’s region.
Physical retailer or cartridge No cited physical edition is established for this release. Treat any unverified cartridge listing cautiously; the confirmed listing is digital.

Release date and when the download becomes available

Nintendo’s official US listing gives Vixen 357 a release date of October 23, 2026. That date is the publisher’s listed date for the digital Nintendo Switch release; availability in another country can be affected by that region’s eShop schedule.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Nintendo’s general guidance says digital-only software is usually released at 9:00 a.m. Pacific Time on its release day. The publisher controls the exact time, however, and Nintendo notes that some third-party games may appear later. If you pre-order an eligible title, Nintendo says it downloads on release day rather than becoming playable before the release date.

Nintendo Switch 2 System
  • The next evolution of Nintendo Switch
  • One system, three play modes: TV, Tabletop, and Handheld
  • Larger, vivid, 7.9” LCD touch screen with support for HDR and up to 120 fps
  • Dock that supports 4K when connected to a compatible TV*
  • GameChat** lets you voice chat, share your game screen, and connect via video chat as you play

If the listing is visible before launch but the download button is unavailable, that does not necessarily indicate a problem. Check the date and your region first, then allow for a later publisher-set release time.

How to buy and download Vixen 357 from the Switch eShop

Use these Nintendo eShop navigation steps on the console:

  1. From the Switch HOME Menu, open Nintendo eShop.
  2. If the console asks you to choose a user, select the account that will make the purchase.
  3. Choose the magnifying-glass Search menu.
  4. Enter Vixen 357 and select the matching result. Check the title and publisher before continuing so you do not buy a similarly named product.
  5. Review the price shown for your region, including any tax or discount displayed at checkout, and complete the purchase.
  6. Let the digital download finish. The game’s icon should then be available from the HOME Menu; select it to launch the game.

The eShop is the safest way to confirm that you are buying the correct edition, because the listing identifies the publisher, supported modes, file-size estimate and Switch 2 compatibility in one place.

Price, regional availability and checkout cautions

Nintendo Life lists a North American price of $5.99 for the October 23, 2026 release. That figure is an independent cross-check, not a guaranteed amount for every buyer. Nintendo eShop prices can differ by country, and tax, temporary discounts and changes made before launch can alter the total. Use the amount shown on your own checkout screen as the authoritative price.

Question Confirmed information What you must verify
Is there a US list price? Nintendo Life reports $5.99 for North America. Confirm the live eShop amount, tax and any discount before paying.
Does every region get the same price? Not established; regional storefronts set their own displayed amounts. Check the eShop associated with your account.
Can the price change? Yes, the listed amount is subject to timing and regional changes. Use the checkout total on the day you buy.

If you are comparing the console eShop with Nintendo.com, compare the final regional total and the convenience of your chosen route rather than assuming that a third-party price is current.

Download size and storage planning

Nintendo estimates the download at 72 MB. That is a small file compared with many modern Switch releases, but it is still worth checking available system or microSD storage before starting the purchase. The 72 MB figure is an estimate from Nintendo’s listing, so the amount shown by the console may not be identical in every software update or storefront display.

Because the confirmed edition is digital, your plan should include space for the downloaded software rather than a cartridge. If the console reports that there is not enough space, free storage and retry the download from the HOME Menu; do not assume that a physical copy is available as an alternative unless Nintendo or the publisher announces one.

Switch, Switch Lite and Switch 2 compatibility

Standard Nintendo Switch

The listing supports all three standard Switch play modes: TV, tabletop and handheld. You can therefore choose the display arrangement that suits the console and controller setup you already own.

  • This model includes battery life of approximately 4.5 - 9 hours.
  • The battery life will depend on the games you play. For instance, the battery will last approximately 5.5 hours for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (games sold separately)
  • Model number HAC 001( 01)

Nintendo Switch 2

Nintendo marks Vixen 357 as compatible with Nintendo Switch 2. The listing establishes compatibility, but it does not promise a separate Switch 2 edition or describe any enhanced graphics, frame-rate mode or extra features. Buy the listed digital version unless a future storefront entry specifically identifies another edition.

Nintendo Switch Lite

Switch Lite is a handheld-only system. Nintendo cautions that software compatibility and the play experience can differ on Switch Lite, and that accessories may be required for some setups. Since Vixen 357’s listing includes handheld mode, handheld play is the relevant configuration, but the official caution still applies: features that depend on a separate console, detached controllers or another accessory may not work in the same way on a Lite.

Before buying for a Lite, check whether your intended controls match the built-in hardware or whether you have the accessories needed for the way you plan to play. The product listing does not provide a Lite-specific feature matrix, so do not infer that every TV or tabletop arrangement is available on that model.

What Vixen 357 includes

Nintendo describes Vixen 357 as a science-fiction simulation game built around story events, distinctive characters and large battles involving many units. The publisher description specifically lists:

Rank #4
Sale
Nintendo Switch with Neon Blue and Red Joy-Con (Renewed) | Handheld, tabletop and TV play modes
  • This pre-owned product is not Apple certified, but has been professionally inspected, tested and cleaned by Amazon-qualified suppliers.
  • 6.2” LCD screen.
  • Three play modes: TV, tabletop, and handheld
  • Local co-op, online, and local wireless multiplayer
  • Detachable Joy-Con controllers
  • 16 levels forming the main progression.
  • Strategic assignment of VECTOR units to characters.
  • Permadeath, meaning the consequences of losing a character are part of the design rather than a purely cosmetic setback.
  • Narrative decisions and story events.
  • A gallery for viewing collected or unlocked material.
  • Rewind and turbo functions for adjusting how you move through play.
  • Cheats and save states.
  • Screen filters that alter the display presentation.

The listing also specifies one to two players on one console. It does not establish online multiplayer, cross-console play or a separate network mode, so treat the two-player figure as local play on a single system.

How to start playing after installation

  1. Return to the HOME Menu after the download completes.
  2. Select the Vixen 357 icon from the software row.
  3. Choose the user profile requested by the console.
  4. Use the game’s opening options to begin a level or continue a saved game. The title includes save states, rewind and turbo functions, so review the in-game controls before relying on them during a difficult battle.
  5. If a second person is playing, set up the controllers for local two-player use on the same console and select the relevant in-game option. The official listing confirms the player count but does not specify which controller combinations are required.

For a first run, keep permadeath in mind when assigning VECTOR units. The game’s strategic decisions and permanent-loss system make it sensible to learn the save-state and rewind tools before committing to a risky battle, while remembering that these are convenience features listed by the publisher rather than guarantees of an undo for every situation.

Choosing between the two digital purchase routes

Buy on the console

The console eShop is the direct choice when your Switch is already connected and you want to confirm compatibility, file size and the current regional price in one session. It also removes the need to transfer a web purchase manually: after checkout, you can monitor the download on that system.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Buy through Nintendo.com

Nintendo.com is useful when you prefer to browse or purchase from a computer or phone. Nintendo’s support guidance says most eShop games are available there as well. Confirm that you are signed in to the Nintendo account associated with the console that will play the game and that the displayed storefront is the intended region.

Best Value
Nintendo Switch – Neon Red and Neon Blue Joy-Con (Renewed)
  • One player can use a Joy-Con in each hand
  • Two players can each take one
  • Multiple Joy-Con can be employed by numerous people for a variety of gameplay options (additional Joy-Con sold separately)
  • Slip a set of Joy-Con into a Joy-Con grip accessory, mirroring a more traditional controller. Or, select an optional Nintendo Switch Pro Controller.

Do not treat an unverified physical listing as equivalent

The evidence for this release identifies a digital Nintendo Switch edition and does not cite a cartridge. A marketplace page claiming to sell a physical copy may refer to a different product, an import or an unconfirmed listing. Verify the publisher and edition before paying.

Troubleshooting purchase and launch problems

The game does not appear in search

  • Check the spelling: search for Vixen 357 rather than a shortened title.
  • Confirm that you are searching the eShop for the correct account and region.
  • If you are checking before October 23, 2026, remember that a pre-release page and a purchasable release are different states.
  • Look again after the publisher’s release window; Nintendo says third-party software can become available later than the usual 9:00 a.m. Pacific guideline.

The price is different from $5.99

The $5.99 figure is a North American listing reported by Nintendo Life. It is not a universal price. Use the amount shown by your regional eShop, including tax and any current promotion.

The download has not started

For a pre-order, Nintendo says the download occurs on release day. Check whether the title has reached its publisher-set release time, then inspect the software’s download status from the HOME Menu. If the console still shows no activity, revisit the listing and confirm that the purchase was completed on the intended user account.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Switch Lite play does not match your setup

Lite is handheld-only, and Nintendo warns that compatibility and play experience can differ. Recheck the intended mode and any accessory requirement before assuming that a TV or tabletop configuration is supported on that console.

The game will not launch on Switch 2

Nintendo marks the listing as Switch 2 compatible. Confirm that the software finished downloading and that you are launching the purchased digital title from the account used at checkout. If an error persists, consult Nintendo’s current support instructions for that console and software combination; the product listing does not describe a separate compatibility patch or special setup.

Buying checklist

  • Use Nintendo eShop or Nintendo.com rather than relying on an unverified cartridge listing.
  • Check that the listing says Vixen 357 and identifies Ratalaika Games.
  • Verify the release date shown for your region; Nintendo’s US listing says October 23, 2026.
  • Confirm the live regional price at checkout. The independently reported North American reference is $5.99.
  • Allow for the estimated 72 MB download and check available storage.
  • Match the supported mode to your hardware: TV, tabletop and handheld on compatible Switch models; handheld-only use on Switch Lite.
  • Remember that the listing confirms one to two players on one console, not an online multiplayer mode.
  • If timing matters, plan around the publisher-controlled release hour rather than assuming exactly 9:00 a.m. Pacific.

Bottom line for Switch owners

Vixen 357 is a small, digital-only Nintendo Switch release in the confirmed listing, with a 72 MB estimated download, 16 levels and local one- or two-player support. Nintendo lists October 23, 2026 for the US release and marks the game compatible with Switch 2. Buy through the eShop or Nintendo.com, verify your region’s checkout price and release timing, and treat Switch Lite as a handheld-specific case where Nintendo’s accessory and experience cautions apply.
