Hellraiser: Revival’s PS5 listing confirms 17 accessibility features, including larger menu and HUD text, colour alternatives, advanced and large subtitle options, per-channel volume controls, mono audio, stick sensitivity and inversion, and switches for motion controls, touch controls, vibration, and adaptive triggers. The listing does not establish exact menu paths or a complete set of graphics sliders, so use the labels present in the released game rather than expecting a particular preset or value.
This guide separates confirmed features from options that remain unverified. It also explains how to choose settings for readability, hearing, colour discrimination, input comfort, and haptic or motion sensitivity without assuming that a demo or community report reflects the final PS5 build.

What the PS5 listing confirms
The authoritative PlayStation product listing describes accessibility categories, but it does not publish a button-by-button route through the game’s menus. The safest method is therefore to open the released game’s Options, Settings, or Accessibility area from whichever menu exposes it, change one item, and test the result in gameplay.
| Need | Confirmed setting | What it changes |
|---|---|---|
| Readability | Large Text | Increases the size of menu and heads-up-display (HUD) text. PlayStation describes this as presenting menu and HUD text in a larger font to make it easier to read. |
| Colour discrimination | Colour Alternatives | Reduces the need to identify important information by colour alone. |
| Hearing or channel separation | Volume Controls | Lets you turn individual audio volumes down or mute them. |
| Single-channel listening | Mono Audio | Sends the same output through each speaker. |
| Subtitles | Subtitles (Advanced), Large Subtitles | Provides the listed advanced subtitle controls and a larger subtitle presentation; the exact choices and ranges are not stated. |
| Input comfort | Stick sensitivity, stick inversion | Provides basic sensitivity adjustment and inversion choices. |
| Motion and haptics | Motion-control, touch-control, vibration, and adaptive-trigger toggles | Allows the game to be played without those input or feedback effects. |
These descriptions apply to the PS5 information available for the game. Another platform, a preview build, or a later patch may expose different labels or controls.

- A New Story in Hellraiser's Canon – Unwittingly kickstart Pinhead’s ritual to unleash greater pain and pleasure than ever before.
- Harness the Power of the Box – Combine the unique, hellish abilities of the Configuration with an arsenal of earthly weapons to inflict bone-breaking, flesh-searing pain - or is it pleasure? - upon masochistic enemies.
- Fight Against Unholy Enemies – Take on hell's wretches, deviants, cultists, and even its most infernal priests in a story-driven horror survival game.
How to open and apply the settings
The listing does not document whether each option is on the title screen, pause screen, or a dedicated accessibility page. Follow this platform-neutral procedure in the released PS5 build:
- Start the game and reach the title, pause, or general options menu.
- Look for Settings, Options, Accessibility, Audio, Controls, or similarly named categories. Menu wording and location are not specified by the listing.
- Change one setting at a time. This makes it clear which adjustment solved a particular problem and avoids confusing several simultaneous changes.
- Back out using the menu’s save, apply, or confirm command if one appears. If no command is shown, return to gameplay and check whether the change persists.
- Test the result with a normal scene: read a HUD element, listen to dialogue and effects, move the camera, and trigger any feedback you are trying to remove.
- If the game offers separate profiles or per-player settings, verify that the change is assigned to the active profile rather than a different controller or user.
Do not infer a missing slider from a screenshot or an older demo. The released build is the authority for the controls actually available to you.
Make menus and the HUD easier to read
Turn on Large Text
Choose Large Text in the game’s visual or accessibility settings. The confirmed effect is enlargement of menu and HUD type, not a promise that every subtitle, tutorial panel, inventory label, or cinematic overlay will scale identically. After enabling it, inspect both a normal gameplay HUD and a dense menu to see which elements changed.
If a line still feels too small, move closer to the display or use the display and console accessibility controls available on your PS5 setup. Those system-level controls are separate from the game’s Large Text feature and are not described in the product listing.
Use Colour Alternatives when colour is not enough
Enable Colour Alternatives when red-green distinctions, low contrast, or monochromatic vision makes an indicator difficult to identify. PlayStation describes this feature as reducing the need to distinguish important information by colour. It does not specify a particular palette, symbol set, or filter strength, so evaluate the result in the scenes where you normally lose track of an objective, warning, or status indicator.
Colour Alternatives is complementary to Large Text: one addresses the size of information and the other addresses how information is encoded. If an icon remains ambiguous, note whether its shape, label, or position is also available; the listing confirms the colour alternative feature but does not promise a non-colour replacement for every interface element.

Configure subtitles and captions
Large Subtitles
Select Large Subtitles if the standard subtitle presentation is difficult to read. The listing confirms that a large-subtitle option exists, but it does not state the font size, line count, background treatment, speaker labels, or whether the setting affects cinematic and gameplay text equally. Check a scene with more than one line of dialogue so you can confirm that text is not being clipped or pushed off-screen.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Subtitles (Advanced)
Open Subtitles (Advanced) if you need more control than the large-text switch provides. The storefront descriptor confirms the advanced category but does not enumerate its individual toggles or slider ranges. Read each item in the released menu and change only the controls you understand; do not assume that “advanced” means a particular combination of speaker names, sound-effect captions, background opacity, or timing controls.
Can you turn subtitles off?
The PlayStation listing includes Playable without Subtitles, which indicates that a no-subtitle play style is supported. Its explanatory wording is internally inconsistent: one sentence says the game does not include spoken dialogue, while another says spoken dialogue is fully subtitled. Treat those sentences as storefront accessibility descriptors rather than a definitive description of the final implementation.
To verify the behavior in your copy, find the subtitle control in the released game, switch it off, and test a scene that contains dialogue or other captioned events. If text remains, check whether it is a non-optional narrative, tutorial, or environmental label rather than a subtitle track. A patch, language selection, or separate caption setting could also affect what you see.
Balance dialogue, effects, and channels
Use individual Volume Controls
Volume Controls let you turn individual audio volumes down or mute them. The listing does not name the available channels, so use the labels shown in your build instead of assuming that it has separate sliders for music, dialogue, ambience, effects, or other categories.
Recommended Free Tools
A practical sequence is to lower the loudest category first, then replay the same section and adjust the next category. Keep the master output high enough for quiet dialogue if you are reducing effects, and confirm that muting a category has not removed an audio cue you rely on for navigation or warnings.

When Mono Audio is useful
Mono Audio sends the same output through each speaker. It can make information easier to hear when one ear, one headphone channel, or one speaker is less reliable. Because mono removes left-right separation, it is less suitable when you intentionally use directional positioning to locate a sound. Toggle it, listen to a familiar scene, and keep the mode that makes important speech and cues clearest for your setup.
Reduce uncomfortable or unwanted controller effects
Motion controls
The listing confirms that the game can be played without motion controls. Disable the motion-control option if aiming, viewing, or another action responds to controller movement and that movement is uncomfortable or impractical. Test a complete interaction afterward, because the affected action may require an alternate stick or button input.
Touch controls
You can also play without touch controls. Turn this off when accidental touch-pad input is a problem or when you need every action to use physical buttons. Confirm that menus and gameplay still provide an alternate command for any touch-pad action.
The Tool Desk
Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Controller vibration
Disable controller vibration if continuous rumble causes discomfort, distraction, or fatigue. The listing confirms the ability to play without vibration, but it does not state whether the switch covers every vibration event or whether a separate intensity control exists.
Adaptive-trigger effects
Disable adaptive-trigger effects when trigger resistance is painful, tiring, or unpredictable. This is distinct from ordinary vibration: adaptive triggers change the resistance of the L2 and R2 pulls, while vibration is tactile rumble. If you want rumble but not resistance, leave vibration enabled and turn off adaptive-trigger effects, provided the released menu presents them separately.
Adjust stick response
Stick sensitivity
PlayStation confirms that “some stick sensitivity options are provided.” The wording establishes basic adjustment, not a specific horizontal or vertical range, response curve, dead-zone control, or separate camera and movement values. Choose the sensitivity control offered by your build, make a small change, and test both slow inspection and rapid turning before changing it again.

- DEEP THRILLING ATMOSPHERE - Explore the sleepy Saint-Exil region through a deep environmental narrative and discover a cult obsessed with sending sinners out to sea and why the military so obsessed with small, sleepy French coastal town?
Stick inversion
Basic stick inversion is confirmed. Select the inversion arrangement that matches your established muscle memory, then test vertical camera movement and any aiming action separately. If the game exposes only one general inversion switch, it may affect more actions than you intended; verify menus and gameplay before committing to it.
What is not confirmed about graphics
Available authoritative evidence does not establish a reliable graphics-menu path or confirm brightness, contrast, quality presets, motion blur, head bob, HDR, or field-of-view controls. An independent options reference specifically treats an FOV slider as unconfirmed and separates community or demo observations from the official PS5 descriptors.
That means you should not assume that Graphics contains a performance-versus-quality selector, a motion-blur toggle, or an FOV value. Open the released game’s own settings and use only the controls that are actually displayed. If a display, brightness, or HDR adjustment is absent in-game, consult the display and PS5 output controls available in your setup; those platform controls are not evidence that the game itself supports the same slider.
An option appearing in a preview video is not proof that it shipped. Conversely, a patch can add a control after launch. Record the game version shown on your PS5 before reporting a missing feature, then check the current in-game menu again after updating.

Troubleshoot a setting that seems missing or ineffective
The menu label is different
The listing confirms feature categories, not their exact labels or locations. Search the main settings, accessibility, audio, and controller pages, and read the explanatory text beside each option. Do not substitute a demo menu or a guide for the controls shown by your installed build.

The change did not persist
Return to the menu and check for an apply or save command. If the game has user or controller profiles, ensure that the active profile is the one you edited. Restart the game only after recording the setting you changed, so you can tell whether the reset occurred on exit, reload, or profile selection.
Best Value
Text is still difficult to read
Confirm that Large Text is enabled and inspect more than one interface type. The confirmed feature concerns menu and HUD font size; it does not guarantee that every subtitle, tutorial, or cinematic element scales. Adjust viewing distance or available system display accessibility controls if the game’s own text remains insufficient.
Colours remain confusing
Check that Colour Alternatives is active in the released build, then test the exact indicator that caused difficulty. The feature reduces reliance on colour, but the listing does not promise a particular palette or a replacement symbol for every item.
Subtitles behave unexpectedly
Recheck the subtitle switch and the advanced subtitle page, then test a known dialogue scene. The conflicting storefront explanation means that only the live build can establish whether spoken dialogue, non-spoken events, or both receive captions.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteAudio is still uneven
Use the individual volume controls rather than relying only on the master level. If left-right separation is the problem, test Mono Audio; if one category is masking another, lower that category and replay the same scene.
A graphics slider cannot be found
There is no confirmed evidence for a specific FOV, motion-blur, HDR, brightness, contrast, head-bob, or quality control. Treat the absence of a slider as an unverified feature gap rather than a configuration error, and check the game’s current version for later additions.
How to verify your final setup
- Read a normal HUD element and open a dense menu with Large Text enabled.
- Locate a colour-coded indicator and confirm that Colour Alternatives makes it identifiable without relying on hue alone.
- Play a dialogue scene with your chosen subtitle size, advanced options, or subtitle-off state.
- Replay the same scene after adjusting audio volumes or Mono Audio so you can judge speech and effects consistently.
- Move the camera slowly and quickly after changing sensitivity or inversion.
- Perform actions that would normally use motion, touch, vibration, or adaptive triggers and confirm that your chosen alternative or disabled state is comfortable.
- Write down the settings and the game version if another player uses the same console, because profiles, patches, and future menu changes can alter the result.
The reliable PS5 baseline is therefore clear: use Large Text and Colour Alternatives for visual readability, the listed subtitle controls for caption presentation, Volume Controls and Mono Audio for hearing needs, basic stick options for input comfort, and the four confirmed disable switches for motion, touch, vibration, and adaptive-trigger effects. Treat detailed graphics sliders and the exact subtitle behavior as build-dependent until the released game shows them directly.
