In Make, connect a URL screenshot action to Trello’s Add an Attachment action. If the card does not exist yet, create it first and use its returned card identifier as the attachment target. Make lists the required modules, but its public documentation does not specify the exact fields for passing the screenshot output into Trello, so confirm the available output and input fields in your current scenario editor rather than guessing.
What you need
- A Make account and a scenario that can receive the website URL, either from a trigger or as an on-demand input. Make’s documentation does not prescribe a particular trigger.
- Connected Make apps for HTML/CSS to Image and Trello.
- The target Trello card, or a Trello card-creation step if the scenario should create one.
Make’s integration listing includes HTML/CSS to Image’s Create a Screenshot of a URL action and Trello’s Add an Attachment action. The Trello app documentation also lists Create a Card. Make’s Trello and HTML/CSS to Image integration · Make’s Trello app documentation.
Build the scenario for an existing card
- Create a scenario in Make and add a trigger or input that provides the website URL.
- Add HTML/CSS to Image → Create a Screenshot of a URL. Supply the URL you want captured.
- Add Trello → Add an Attachment. Select the board and target card using the fields offered by the module.
- Map the screenshot output. Inspect the screenshot action’s output bundle and Trello’s attachment inputs. Map the returned image, file, or image URL using the actual field shown in your editor; the published documentation reviewed here does not establish exact field names or whether the output is exposed as a file or URL.
- Run the scenario once and inspect the target card to confirm the intended screenshot was attached.
Build the scenario with a new card
- Set up the URL-providing trigger or input as above.
- Add Trello’s Create a Card action and configure its destination list and card details.
- Add Create a Screenshot of a URL and provide the website URL.
- Add Trello’s Add an Attachment action after card creation. Map the identifier returned by the creation step to the attachment module’s card target, using the field names shown in the editor.
- Map the screenshot action’s output to the attachment input, then run the scenario and verify the created card.
Make lists all three actions, but the public documentation does not give the exact screenshot-output-to-attachment-input mapping. Check the live module configuration and output bundle rather than relying on a guessed label or assuming a particular file format.
Choose and identify the destination card
For a card created in the scenario
Use the card identifier returned by Create a Card if the attachment action exposes it as a mappable output. Confirm the specific identifier field in the current editor. Do not substitute a card name unless the module explicitly requests one.

For an existing card
Select the card directly if the attachment action offers a picker. If it requires an identifier, Make’s Trello documentation says card IDs or shortlinks are required for some operations. It describes obtaining card identifiers from a New Card trigger’s output. To locate a card shortlink, open the card, choose Share, and use the shortlink appearing after https://trello.com/c/ in the card URL. Check which identifier type the current action accepts before mapping it.
Or skip the browser setup
If you need a clean screenshot file to attach, ScreenshotNeo provides a URL-based screenshot API; it is not a replacement for configuring Make’s Trello attachment step. One GET request returns a screenshot, which you can then pass into a workflow that accepts the resulting image or file.

- The screenshot module runs, but no attachment appears: inspect its output bundle and check that the attachment action is mapped to the actual image, file, or URL output. The public docs do not name the mapping fields.
- The attachment action cannot find the card: confirm the destination is the intended card and that you supplied the identifier type the action expects. For a newly created card, map the identifier from the creation action; for an existing card, use its picker or a supported ID/shortlink.
- The scenario attaches the wrong card: verify the target-card mapping, especially when processing multiple trigger records. Ensure the attachment step uses the card created or selected for that same scenario execution.
- The captured page is incomplete or unexpected: inspect the screenshot output itself and confirm that the URL supplied to the capture action is the intended page. Run a scenario test before relying on unattended runs.
Because the attachment field mapping depends on what the current Make modules expose, verify it in the editor and with a test card before enabling a scenario for routine use. The cited documentation establishes action availability, not a tested end-to-end configuration.
