If your OneStream Live broadcast is already live, the published instructions do not confirm that you can add another video mid-stream. OneStream documents adding videos to a pre-recorded broadcast and attaching one to an existing YouTube event before scheduling it. An existing event is not the same as an active broadcast.

First, check what “active” means

OneStream Live’s documented “Existing Event” workflow still ends with scheduling the broadcast. It does not establish that selecting an event or changing a playlist will alter output that is already being broadcast on YouTube. If viewers are watching now, contact OneStream Live support to ask whether your account’s current workflow supports appending content. Otherwise, arrange the video as a subsequent broadcast.

Add a video to a broadcast that has not started

For a future pre-recorded broadcast, OneStream’s documented web-app flow is:

  1. From the dashboard, open Pre-recorded Stream.
  2. Click Add Videos.
  3. Choose a source: Device, OSL Storage, or Cloud Storage.
  4. Select the video and continue.
  5. Select the destination, including the connected YouTube channel, and continue.
  6. Enter the stream details and continue.
  7. Click Schedule Broadcast.

The exact labels and available choices can vary as the service changes; follow the current app if its interface differs.

Attach a video to an existing scheduled YouTube event

If you mean an event that already exists in YouTube but has not begun broadcasting, OneStream’s guide describes a setup flow that still schedules the broadcast:

  1. Connect your YouTube channel in OneStream Live.
  2. Choose Create Stream, then select a streaming method.
  3. Choose Existing Event and select the event.
  4. Add the video.
  5. Review the title, description, thumbnail, privacy settings, and scheduled time.
  6. Click Schedule Broadcast.

This is a way to configure a scheduled broadcast against an existing event, not a documented way to insert a video into an event already live.

Queue several videos for a scheduled broadcast

OneStream says its playlist feature can queue videos back-to-back as a single live broadcast. Its help guidance places playlist creation in the pre-recorded setup: choose the videos before selecting destinations and stream details, then schedule. The vendor lists playlist streaming for Professional and Enterprise plans; check your current account and plan for availability.

OneStream Live’s help article, last updated September 10, 2026, describes queued videos as a way to create “seamless, uninterrupted streaming sessions.” That describes playlist playback; it does not confirm that you can append a video after the broadcast begins.

If the stream is already live

  • Do not assume that adding a video to a playlist will change the current live output.
  • Ask OneStream support whether mid-broadcast insertion is available in your account and how to use it.
  • If it is not supported, schedule the new video as a subsequent broadcast using the pre-recorded workflow.
