There is no Rome map in Mini Motorways that is confirmed by the developer’s current official information. Dinosaur Polo Club’s 2026 city vote named Auckland, Lima, Singapore and Vienna as the candidate cities, while its February 2026 roadmap described four planned locations without naming Rome. A video, mod listing or search result that shows “Rome” should therefore be treated as unverified unless a later developer announcement confirms it.
You can play every map that is unlocked on your profile by opening the game’s map or city-selection screen. Endless Mode is available immediately for an unlocked map. Expert Mode is a separate progression reward: score at least 1,000 on the map, then score at least 600 in that map’s City Challenge.
Is Rome an available Mini Motorways map?
Based on the latest authoritative information covered here, no. There is no substantiated official Rome map or Rome-specific unlock route for Mini Motorways. The game’s published progression wording is general: Unlock new maps and achievements as you achieve mastery.
That describes how maps in your profile become available; it does not identify Rome as a hidden map or promise that a particular score unlocks it.
This distinction matters because a map can be unavailable for two very different reasons. You may have an existing map that is still locked on your profile, or you may be looking for a city that is not part of the confirmed Mini Motorways lineup. Rome currently falls into the second category on the evidence available.

What the 2026 city information says
The May 2026 city vote
Dinosaur Polo Club’s May 2026 city vote listed four candidates: Auckland, Lima, Singapore and Vienna. Rome was not one of those candidates. The vote is useful evidence about the cities under active consideration at that time, but it is not a permanent promise that no other city can ever be added.
| Official 2026 vote detail | What it means for a Rome search |
|---|---|
| Auckland, Lima, Singapore and Vienna were the candidates | Rome was not listed as a candidate in that vote |
| Vote held in May 2026 | The result describes that 2026 selection process, not every future update |
The February 2026 roadmap
The February 2026 roadmap described four planned 2026 locations but did not name Rome. Because the roadmap did not establish a Rome release, there is no official date, score requirement or purchase that can be used to unlock one.
A later developer announcement could change the map lineup. If Dinosaur Polo Club announces Rome after the information summarized here, follow that announcement’s instructions rather than relying on older videos or unofficial lists.

How to check the maps available on your profile
These steps let you distinguish an unavailable Rome map from a map that is merely locked on your account.
- Launch Mini Motorways on your supported platform.
- Open the map or city-selection screen. The game presents the maps associated with your profile there.
- Review the map list. Select a city that is shown as unlocked. If Rome is not listed, the current official information does not provide a Rome-specific unlock action.
- Start the map. An unlocked map can be played without first completing the Expert progression described below.
The map list is profile-based. A high score on one city does not create an unlisted city, and buying the game does not add a Rome map that the profile does not contain.
How the game’s map modes unlock
Endless Mode
According to the official support FAQ, Endless Mode is immediately available on every map that is already unlocked. You do not need to reach a 1,000-point score or complete a City Challenge to start Endless Mode on an unlocked map.

City Challenges
City Challenges become available after you reach a high score of at least 1000 on that map. The threshold applies to the map you are playing; it is not a universal key for every city on your profile.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsExpert Mode
Expert Mode requires two steps on an already-unlocked map:
- Score 1,000 or more on the map to unlock its City Challenges.
- Score 600 or more in a City Challenge to unlock Expert Mode for that map.
These thresholds unlock modes for the map on which you earned them. They do not unlock Rome, and they cannot be used to reveal a city that is absent from the map-selection screen.

Why you may have seen a “Rome map” online
Unofficial videos, thumbnails and search pages
Search engines and video platforms can surface fan concepts, edited footage, speculative thumbnails or content from another game. A title that says “Rome map unlock” is not evidence that the map is distributed in the official game. Check whether the claim comes from Dinosaur Polo Club and whether Rome appears in the in-game map list on the same platform and edition you use.
Confusion with Mini Metro
Mini Motorways and Mini Metro are separate games from the same developer, and discussions about one can be mislabeled as the other. When a post mentions Rome, identify the game shown in the footage before trying its instructions. A route, city or challenge associated with Mini Metro should not be assumed to exist in Mini Motorways.

Map lineups can change through developer updates. A guide written before the 2026 vote or a post speculating about future cities may not describe the current lineup. Conversely, a future announcement may add Rome after the information summarized here. Look for a dated, first-party announcement before treating a new claim as confirmed.

What to do when Rome is missing from your map list
- Check the game title. Confirm that the software is Mini Motorways, not Mini Metro.
- Open the actual map-selection screen. Do not rely on a video overlay, a search snippet or a third-party city list.
- Separate maps from modes. A locked Expert Mode or City Challenge is not a missing map. The 1,000 and 600 thresholds affect modes on an existing map.
- Check the source date. The May 2026 vote and February 2026 roadmap did not establish Rome as a playable city.
- Look for a developer announcement. If Rome has been added since the information covered here, the official announcement is the reliable place to find its availability and any requirements.
There is no supported score sequence that can be recommended for a Rome map that is not shown in your profile. Repeating the 1,000-point map score or the 600-point City Challenge score will only progress the map on which those scores are earned.
Where Mini Motorways is officially available
Mini Motorways is officially available on Apple Arcade, Steam and Nintendo Switch. The map-selection process is conceptually the same on each platform: launch the game, open the map or city-selection screen and choose a map unlocked on your profile.
| Platform | Availability stated by the developer information | What a purchase or subscription does |
|---|---|---|
| Apple Arcade | Officially available | Provides access to the game through the platform; it does not establish a Rome map |
| Steam | Officially available | Provides the PC edition; map availability still follows the game’s profile and official lineup |
| Nintendo Switch | Officially available | Provides the Switch edition; buying it does not imply that Rome is included |
If you are considering the Nintendo Switch edition, verify the current store listing, region and edition before buying. The purchase gives you the game on that platform; it is not a Rome-map unlock.
Can you play Rome right now?
Not through a confirmed, official Mini Motorways map path. You can play the cities displayed as unlocked in your profile, use Endless Mode immediately on those maps, and work toward City Challenges and Expert Mode with the published thresholds. Rome becomes a playable option only if Dinosaur Polo Club officially adds it and the map appears in the game’s supported lineup.
How to verify a future Rome announcement
If you hear that Rome has been released, verify all of the following before following an unlock guide:
- The announcement names Mini Motorways, not Mini Metro or another title.
- It comes from Dinosaur Polo Club or an official platform listing.
- It states the relevant platform, edition and release timing.
- It explains whether Rome is included automatically, unlocked through normal progression or available through a specific update.
- The city appears in your in-game map-selection screen after the applicable update.
Until those checks line up, treat Rome claims as speculation rather than a confirmed feature.
