AirJet is Frore Systems’ solid-state active-cooling technology, and it has been used in a shipping mini PC design: ZOTAC’s ZBOX pico PI430AJ. The key distinction is that “solid-state” describes the cooling technology; it does not mean the computer is cooled passively or that every AirJet-equipped PC delivers the same performance.
What AirJet cooling is
Frore Systems describes AirJet as solid-state active cooling. In other words, AirJet is an active cooling module built around solid-state technology, rather than a conventional fan-based cooling assembly. “Solid-state” should not be read as “no active cooling”: the name identifies the cooling technology, not a promise that a computer needs no power or produces no sound.
Frore’s How AirJet Works explainer identifies the technology as solid-state active cooling. The available product information does not establish enough detail to describe the module’s internal actuator, airflow path, or heat-transfer stack precisely, so those details should not be inferred from the label alone.
How AirJet is used in a mini PC
ZOTAC ZBOX pico PI430AJ
ZOTAC’s ZBOX pico PI430AJ is a concrete example of AirJet in a mini PC. ZOTAC described it as the first mini PC to incorporate AirJet solid-state active cooling, and its launch materials specify two AirJet Mini modules. The product brochure lists an Intel Core i3-N300 processor. That configuration shows AirJet in a named compact PC; it does not establish the cooling capacity, acoustics, or performance of other AirJet systems.

Another reported design
An October 2026 Tom’s Hardware report also described AAEON’s UP Xtreme PTL Edge Air, a Panther Lake mini PC using AirJet. Its comments about noise and product performance are reported claims, not an independent, controlled test of the system.

What Frore’s 7 W-to-15 W claim means
Frore says AirJet can raise sustained processor power in portable mini PCs from 7 W to 15 W, allowing the processor to run twice as fast without making the mini PC thicker, hotter, or noisy. The figure is a vendor-stated comparison, not a universal benchmark: the reviewed page does not identify the workload, the exact systems compared, or independent verification. It should not be treated as the expected result for every AirJet-equipped mini PC.
Frore presents the claim on its mini PC application page. The page does not state a publication year for the 7 W-to-15 W figure.

How to compare AirJet and fan-cooled mini PCs
Whether AirJet is an advantage for a particular mini PC depends on the complete device design and how it performs in use. A meaningful comparison with a conventional actively cooled mini PC would require measurements under the same conditions, including:
- Sustained performance on the same workload
- Acoustic level measured under the same conditions
- Device temperature and power draw
- Physical size and price
The available product and vendor materials do not provide a controlled head-to-head dataset across those measures. A single product configuration—or Frore’s stated 7 W-to-15 W comparison—cannot fill that gap.
