Choose 64GB if your use is light and you mostly stream content; consider a larger onboard option if you regularly keep large games, offline video, or creative files on the tablet. Choose storage based on what you keep offline
The key question is how much you need available when the tablet is offline. Streaming video and music, using cloud photo storage, and periodically removing old downloads can make a smaller capacity workable. Downloaded video, large games, frequent local downloads, and creative projects use more space and favor 128GB or more onboard.
These are workload-based distinctions, not measured usage statistics. Lenovo’s specifications list capacities for particular models; they do not prescribe a capacity for each kind of buyer.
64GB: light use
Consider 64GB for browsing, reading, streaming, and a modest app collection if you do not keep much large media on the tablet. 128GB: a general-purpose default
Choose 128GB if you want more room for apps, photos, downloads, and some offline media without routinely managing storage. More than 128GB: local-storage-heavy use
If you regularly keep large games, video libraries, design files, or other bulky content on the tablet, prefer a higher onboard capacity when the exact model offers one. Onboard storage and microSD are not interchangeable
Onboard storage is built into the tablet. A microSD card is removable expansion, and it is useful only when the particular configuration has a card slot. The examples above show why checking the exact specification matters: maximum card capacity and supported formats vary by model. Do not assume every app or file can be moved to a card. Hardware specifications establish whether a slot is present and which card capacities or formats are supported; they do not establish universal app-storage behavior. What to check before buying
- Find the exact SKU and region. Storage configurations and availability can differ by model family, generation, region, and SKU.
- Confirm onboard capacity. Check the product’s current Lenovo PSREF rather than relying on a family name or a listing for a different configuration.
