In Aion 2, each Manastone row rolls a stat and then a quality tier, so the result can vary even between stones of the same type. Choose stats for the character’s role and whether you mainly play PvE or PvP; there is no supported universal best-stat build. Manastones are for weapon and armor slots, while Soulstones and Theostones are separate systems.
How Manastone stats and rolls work
Manastones are engraved into available weapon and armor Manastone slots. A row resolves in two stages: it selects a stat from that stone’s pool, then rolls the quality of that stat. Rows are independent, so a multi-row result can contain different stats or repeat one.
The available stats and their values vary by stone variant and grade. A guide’s Superior Manastone example gives Attack a 10% chance at the stat-selection stage, followed by a quality roll of 50% Basic, 35% Superior, or 15% Ultimate. For that particular example, Attack yields +3, +5, or +10 at those respective qualities. That makes the chance of exactly Basic Attack +3 equal to 5% (10% × 50%) for the example; it is not a general rate for every Manastone. Xtopolis’s Manastone guide provides those example figures.
A distinct example shows why you should check the exact stone rather than reusing another grade’s numbers. The Intermediate Abyssal Manastone entry lists Attack at 6%, with Common 2, Rare 4, and Epic 8 outcomes at 50%, 35%, and 15%. Its pool also includes PvP stats. What can roll
The ordinary core pool described in the community guide includes Attack, Defense, Accuracy Bonus, Evasion Bonus, Critical Hit, Critical Hit Resist, Block, HP, and MP. Superior stones add damage-related lines. Abyssal stones add PvP lines and change the chances for PvE lines. The precise pool and values depend on the specific variant and grade, so treat a stat list or probability as item-specific rather than universal. How to choose stats for your build
Start with the content you play and the job your character needs to do. Then compare the stats actually available on the stone you can use. A damage-oriented line may suit one role or activity; survivability, accuracy, evasion, or resource stats may matter more in another. The available evidence does not establish an official English class-by-class ranking, so a community ranking should be treated as advice, not a rule for every class or patch.

Choose for PvE or PvP
Abyssal options include PvP lines, whereas the ordinary pool focuses on non-PvP stats. If the equipment is for PvP, consider whether those lines serve your goal; for PvE-focused equipment, compare the relevant PvE options instead. Do not assume that an Abyssal stone’s probabilities or values match an ordinary stone’s. The Xtopolis guide and the Intermediate Abyssal Manastone listing show the distinction.
Balance damage, defense, and utility
Compare the damage and attack-related options against defensive and utility stats in the item’s pool. Which is preferable depends on role, activity, and the rest of the build. A guide updated October 2, 2026, offers creator advice ranking some damage-related lines above Attack, but that is not an official balance statement or a class-specific prescription. Account for grade and how long you will keep the gear
Grades can have different options and values, so weigh the specific stone’s potential against the value and expected lifespan of the equipped item. Current community guides advise against spending heavily on temporary leveling gear because socketed stones are reported to be lost when gear is transferred or extracted. If you expect to replace an item soon, consider saving resources for the item you plan to keep. Aion 2 Maps and Codexgames’ guide describe the transfer and extraction limitation.

These upgrade families have different equipment slots; they are not interchangeable. Manastones go into weapon and armor Manastone slots. Soulstones are for accessories or jewelry. Theostones use their own system, with one per weapon according to the cited guide. Codexgames’ guide to the three stone systems describes their slot distinctions.
