At Kura Sushi USA, you can take dishes as they pass on the revolving sushi belt or order from the screen at your table. Screen orders arrive from the kitchen on a separate Express Belt. Eligible plates go into the booth slot, which Kura says supports plate counting and its Bikkura Pon reward system.
What are the two ways to get food?

How to order and eat
- Look over the revolving belt. Kura’s U.S. FAQ says you can select dishes as they pass. Its FY2025 company filing describes circulating items such as sushi rolls, nigiri and desserts. Kura Sushi USA FAQ Kura Sushi USA FY2025 Form 10-K
- Take a passing dish or use the screen. Take a dish from the belt if you want something currently circulating. For an on-demand item, select it on the tableside screen; Kura says it will be delivered via the Express Belt.
- Put eligible plates in the booth slot. Kura says the slot counts plates and connects to Bikkura Pon. The company’s FY2025 filing describes an anime video after every five spiral-green plates and a toy reward after every 15 plates. These are the thresholds documented in that filing; check current rules at your location before relying on them.
How do the belts and plate slot work together?
The revolving belt lets you choose from dishes already in circulation, while the Express Belt is for orders placed through the screen. When you finish, putting eligible plates into the booth slot lets the table’s system count them for the documented Bikkura Pon feature. The slot is also a way to clear plates without waiting for a server, according to Kura’s FY2025 filing.
What are Mr. Fresh domes and dish tracking?
Kura says circulating dishes use protective Mr. Fresh domes, which open when a guest lifts a plate, and that tracking technology monitors dishes on the belt. Its FY2025 filing describes RFID tracking and says a robotic arm removes plates after two hours of circulation. These are features as described by Kura; they should not be read as an independent guarantee about food safety or as a rule confirmed for every market and location. What can vary by location?
Menu, equipment and reward rules may differ by restaurant. Kura’s U.S. FAQ describes sushi plates as having a set price at a given location, while other menu items have varied prices; it does not establish a current price that applies everywhere. Check the local menu for prices and ask staff which plates count toward any active reward.
Kura Japan describes a market-specific touch-panel setup with sound and visual arrival alerts and a rapid order lane, while noting that some locations lack the lane. Those Japan features are not a description of every U.S. restaurant. Kura Japan official site
