JANCTION Render MCP is a Blender-focused workflow for submitting scenes to remote rendering through compatible AI applications or a CLI. It is not the same as renting a configurable cloud GPU, and it is unrelated to Render.com’s MCP, which manages hosted application infrastructure. Choose based on whether you need managed Blender rendering, broader GPU access, or simply want to use your own computer.
What JANCTION Render MCP is designed to do
JANCTION’s project documentation describes a remote Blender rendering workflow that accepts .blend scenes, Python bpy scripts, and supported 3D formats. Documented outputs include image frames and video. The workflow is described as including scene inspection, previews of up to four frames, render estimates, final render jobs, job status, cancellation, downloads, sharing, and asset lookup. These are documented capabilities, not independently tested results; check the current JANCTION Render project documentation for supported formats and features.
The documentation lists the remote MCP endpoint as https://render.janction.jp/mcp and describes OAuth 2.1 dynamic client registration or bearer-key access. It also documents a stdio package and CLI. Setup details may vary by client, so confirm the current connection instructions before configuring a workflow. The official MCP Registry listing independently identifies the project.
How the options compare
| Option | What it is for | Best fit when |
|---|---|---|
| JANCTION Render MCP | Managed Blender scene rendering through an MCP/CLI workflow; documented inputs include Blender scenes and scripts. | You want to submit a scene for remote rendering without setting up a general-purpose GPU environment. |
| Local Blender rendering | Rendering on hardware you already control. | Your computer has sufficient performance and memory, and you prefer local control. The reviewed sources provide no measured local-versus-cloud comparison. |
| JANCTION managed GPU rental | Request-based access to broader GPU environments for rendering and other GPU-heavy workloads. | You need configurable GPU capacity or work beyond a managed scene-submission flow. |
| Render.com MCP and compute plans | Tools for managing Render-hosted services and resources, with compute plans specifying CPU and RAM. | Your task is deploying or operating an application on Render.com, not rendering a Blender scene. |
When to choose each option
Choose JANCTION Render MCP for a Blender scene workflow
It is the closest fit when your deliverable is rendered frames or video from a supported Blender scene and you want a managed submission flow. Before relying on it for production, verify that the current service supports your Blender version, render engine, scene dependencies, and output needs. Confirm how textures and other external assets must be supplied and how completed files are retrieved.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
The project listing describes a free beta, but does not establish enduring quotas or billing terms. Its documentation also describes queue and GPU-worker availability information. Treat an estimate or queue status as operational guidance, not as a promised completion time or evidence of consistent speed.
Choose local rendering when control and existing hardware matter most
Your own machine avoids transferring a scene to a remote service and lets you keep the rendering environment under your control. Whether it is adequate depends on the scene’s render time and memory needs, plus when you need the result. No comparable timing data in the reviewed sources establishes when local rendering is faster or cheaper.

- Quick Data Transfers: Accelerate your productivity with rapid data transfers using a high-speed 5Gbps USB 3.0 port and two 480Mbps USB 2.0 ports.
- 4K HDMI Display: Enhance your visual experience with a hub capable of delivering 4K resolution at 30Hz in both mirror and extend modes. Please note that this hub is compatible with MacBook (macOS 12 and newer), Windows 10 and 11, ChromeOS, and laptops equipped with DP Alt Mode and Power Delivery. Note: This device is not compatible with Linux.
- What You Get: Anker USB-C Hub (5-in-1, 4K HDMI), welcome guide, 18-month warranty, and our friendly customer service.
Choose managed GPU rental for broader or configurable work
JANCTION describes its separate GPU rental service as request-based: it reviews workload fit and confirms capacity, pricing, lead time, and support terms before delivery. The service page lists rendering as one possible workload, alongside batch jobs and GPU-heavy pipelines. This is a broader option than submitting a Blender scene through Render MCP, but it may require clarifying the environment and access terms for your workload. See JANCTION’s managed GPU service page for current details.
Choose Render.com for application hosting operations
Render.com’s MCP documentation covers management of Render workspaces and hosted resources, including services, deploys, logs, metrics, Postgres, and Key Value. Its compute plans specify CPU and RAM for hosted services. Those are application-hosting capabilities, not a documented Blender scene-rendering service. See Render’s MCP documentation and Render’s compute plan documentation.

What to check before committing a scene
- Software fit: Check Blender version, render engine, supported input formats, scripts, and scene dependencies against current JANCTION documentation.
- Assets and transfer: Identify textures, caches, linked files, and other external assets, then verify their upload path and how output files can be downloaded or retained.
- Availability: Review current worker availability, queue information, and—if renting a GPU—delivery lead time. An estimate is not a service-level guarantee.
- Control: Decide whether managed scene submission is enough or whether you need a configurable environment for software, scripts, or non-rendering GPU work.
- Cost basis: Compare the applicable quota or job terms, any GPU-hour rental terms, and the cost of using existing local hardware. The available sources do not provide a like-for-like total-cost model.
What the evidence does not establish
The reviewed sources do not provide comparable render benchmarks, image-quality tests, workload-normalized prices, or a multi-provider feature test. There is therefore no supported basis to call JANCTION faster or cheaper than local hardware, a render farm, or another cloud GPU option. For managed GPU rental, any displayed hourly figures are JANCTION service-page listings, not an independent benchmark or a guarantee of capacity; verify current terms directly with the provider.
